"Then we shall take extra care in seeing that we speak very clearly for your benefit." She replied, in an almost sarcastically clear and precisely imperious tone. One he wouldn't fail to miss, since she was adding to it with a steely glance. He smirked at her, and rubbed his ear for her benefit. "Huh, whats that you say?" Trying to keep a straight face he turns to look out the view port and not at her reaction. A kick would be coming, that or something just as reprimanding. Thoughts of the meeting coming up, or if they would actually take place was on his mind. Combined with the living vessel and doing what they needed in the shortest time possible. That secret asteroid base was ready to receive it, with trained researchers on stand by. Maybe someone from Kuat could take the lead over there. It was their project and had more insight on things. When the transport finally came to a halt, she carefully slid Tress a hopeful glance, this was the big one, this was what could potentially unlock the secrets to creating and mass producing these craft for themselves. That, she thought prudently, was never anything to be taken lightly."Let us see what we have here then, shall we?"
Nodding he agrees, he was ready to get things underway. There was alot to accomplish and he was getting excited over things happening. He was about to tell her something when the Colonel spoke up. "Lady Vestra, I have just been informed that the Regent is in system, and will be landing in moments. And it seems someone else is wanting ships as well." Well then, seems things would have to wait. He might well have to go pay his respects now that the Regent was here. He would have liked to have taken care of the living ship, first. Get it where it needed to go before going, but it was Khari's choice. "Things will have to way it seems?" He sends her a questioning glance.

Corey sits as he waits to see what will happen to him. He stands as he looks around his holding cell, he touches the wall as he gets shocked. He smiles from it, he then goes over and sits down on his knees. His thoughts is when he gets out there will be enough pain to go around, starting with the people of KDY.
He smiles as he speaks out loud.
"How much longer will I have to wait? Any longer and I will begin to think that your plans are to keep me here until you have enough to hide the truth."
He closes his eyes and relax his mind.

There they had been all set to enter into the containment unit when the Colonel had received a comlink call that had pulled him away from the matters at hand. Not easily rankled, Khari waited for him to finish, she wasn't adverse to waiting when the matters were important, and considering the recent affairs, this was probably important. She wasn't to be disappointed.
With a judicious nod, she acknowledged Klask's words and then sighed, but it was Tress that spoke her thoughts.
"Yes, so it seems. Apologies Colonel, but I cannot have our guests thinking we tollerate tardiness. We should make this quick." As for the other request, that she was going to have to look into personally. The information would be relayed to her people, then to her via extension, if they were worth half the credits she paid them, that information should be with her within a matter of the next few moments.
And that was when her comlink bleeped for attention - right on time.
Slipping it out of one pocket, she mouthed another apology to the Senator and Colonel both, then flipped it on, "Khari Vestra here..."
Khari had half expected the voice on the other end to belong to Arri, for that was precisely who it should have belonged to. Instead, she was greeted by the dulcet tones of another assistant, a one 'Sinara Kreus' who often held the fort in Arri's absence, screening her calls and answering communiques she had little time to do so herself. A petite in every dimension, middle aged woman, Khari's opinion of her was indifferent, she had spent little time speaking with or getting to know the girl, but when had she had time for much of late? Now was just another shining example of that.
"Apologies, Lady Vestra, I understand that you are busy at present and I did not mean to interrupt earlier, but we have recieved a communication for both a private shipbuilding contract and ..."
The other woman's words faded off into the background of Khari's own mind, she knew what the rest was going to be before she had even heard it. But that wasn't what had given her pause for thought... Backtracking, she raised an index finger in unspoken question, regardless of whether or not Sinara would have seen her do so.
"May I just stop you there a moment?" It didn't matter if she said no or not, she would be stopping her there.
There was a lengthy pause on the other end of the transmission that Khari took to mean the affirmative.
"Going back a little, you said that you interrupted me earlier?"
Again a pause, a shorter one this time, filled with hesitation, "Yes Lady Vestra."
That frown that had been gathering on Khari's brows furrowed a little deeper, marring her otherwise smooth complexion. "I don't recall ever receiving a communication from you before now, when would this have been?" She was no memory expert but even she knew what she had been doing hours ago.
"Not when, so much as where, m'lady. I dropped by your residence aboard the array this evening, you seemed to be entertaining and when you did not answer I assumed I had interrupted..."
Now the plot thickened, and she couldn't have looked more confused if she had just heard there was a heatwave on Hoth.
"Entertaining?" There was a decidedly pointed undertone to her voice now, her eyes narrowed barely perceptibly, she wasn't liking where this was going.
"Yes...I wasn't lingering outside for long, but I couldn't help but overhear you and your uhh telbun...I assumed that - "
This time Khari did interrupt, a decidedly duskiness tinging her skin as she turned her back to her company at that point, sharp on her heel enough to cause her robes to swirl at her ankles.
"-I have not been back to my residence since before I left the array for Carratos...are you absolutely certain that you were at the right address?" She had to have it wrong, she didn't know how this was possible, her quarters were rather set apart from the others, but there was that small chance Sinara had gotten it wrong.
"Oh yes, I am certain, I have delivered messages to this address before. Are you not there now?"
What in the name of the hydian way was going on here?
Ignoring her comlink for the time being she spun back to face both Tress and Klask one last time.
"Colonel, would it be possible to spare some of your human resources to deal with a break in? I believe someone has taken it upon themselves to move in while I was out." While her words could have been seen as humerous, her expression and tone betrayed a curtness, this was one little problem she didn't need right now. One little problem that should be dealt with quickly and expediently.
And to think, all she had wanted to do, was come out here to take a look at this ship. It was going to be a long day.

Admiral Seinheild of the KDF aboard his flagship sat in his private office overlooking maintenance and repair reports. Things he always hated in his line of work, dealing with the mundane things somebody else could see to. Though he guessed, it all fell to him as Commander. The Fleet itself suffered little to no damage, though he would need to requisition replacement starfighters and pilots. All in all a successful engagement.
Outside of the fleet, the worse damage was to planetary defenses and the Array. He had crews ground side, getting up the Ion Cannons and defenses first with the TEN and their families down there it was paramount. He had what squadrons in his command split in two forces. One patrolling the area around the Array while the other was held in reserve.
Maintenance ships had been sent out to start repairs on the damaged Array, even going so far as pulling some of the ship building crews to shore up the lack of available trained men. In the long run it would stop ship building by 5 percent but the Array would get done faster opening up trade and tourism again. It wasn't in his right to have done so, but he was confident they would see things his way.
A knock at the door alerted him to someone seeking his attention. "Enter." He tells them.
His Aide, Lt. Sisco enters with more reports along with some news. "I have the reports you asked for, sir. Also there is reports of dignitaries from the RGE arriving and on their way to the Array. Captain Dunst has alerted the Fleet keep them informed, and for our closeted squadrons to escort them to their destination."
"Thank you, Lt." He tells her not bothering to get up. No doubt by now, Orbital control would have advised those in charge and it was out of his hands. He had other things to do, then to bow and scrap. Looking over the reports for the enemy ships they had captured. Seemed like they were in good repair, but costly in doing so. This he would need confirmation from up higher as what to do with them, but he signed an order to have them tugged to the repair docks. "Take this to Capt. Dunst and have him deal with this, Lt. " He would send over boarding parties to secure the ships, before tugging them into position. He should give the order to scuttle them and be done with things, but first to seek permission. "That will be all, Lt."
Using the comm station near his desk he makes a call to Lady Vestra via subspace. "Lady Vestra, Admiral Seinheild here. At your earliest convenience I would like to go over some defense reports with you. Some pertaining to the GJO vessels in orbit."

Klask's earlier disgruntled mood fades a bit, even his stoicism cannot completely cover the amusement at the CEO's discomforts. He pulls his com out once again and sends off two quick text messages. One to his chief of dignitary securities to arrange a formal review and inspection of the Regent's quarters, including appropriate buffet spread in the room and extensive wet-bar... that should buy Khari and Tress the needed time as they settle before formal introductions. The second to his new Captain to take Alpha team to the CEO's residence... With a internal chuckle he wishes they had those Imperial carbonite rifles... cold showers will have to suffice though.
"When the regent arrives, he will be shown to his lodgings to refresh and prepare for the meetings, also we will be covering security details with his team then. That will give you and the Senator enough time for a quick review and a few moments to refresh yourselves.
As to the other matter Lady Vestra, I have will have my best team respond. They are good people, reliable and trustworthy. Should I have them taken to the detainment facility nearest your office?"

Watching him from the safety of the threshold, she had posed her question in much the same carefree tone he had used, so when he beckoned her forth, she complied without protest - after all, what possible protest could she have?! As soon as she drew near she felt his arm encircle her waist and pull her into the sanisteam with him, loosing a surprised yelp amid her laughter at his sudden acknowledgement of their mind's accord.
Pressed engagingly against his body he had her full attention, though that consisted of it being shared out between all five of her senses, particularly touch, how sensual this was, all of it, from start to finish. If this was how she was to spend the rest of her days, with excitement thrown in along the way, she wasn't about to complain. It ocurred to her that she had never cared much for the one who claimed ownership of her, it was easier that way, a simple business arrangement, but Zanear enthralled her...
What she had not been expecting, was to discover his definition of 'wash' had meant her and not himself. All the better then, her mind purred in abject delight, this was going to be a feast for the senses. But to plans-
"Be it foolishly or not, my master saw fit to enable me access to his accounts, so that I may pay for things on his behalf when he seldom has time to do so." Arri explained, releasing a soft sigh as the Falleen's hands slipped lithely over her contours. This was a highly distracting extravagance. "Of course there are limits set and he does keep a very close watch on said accounts, but if we were to figure out some way of say, making use of said access all in one go - an expediently good getaway waiting for us immediately thereafter - I dare say we could drain the entire account completely."
Quirking an eyebrow, she looked up at him with adoration and furtiveness both, there was something about him, her mind always came back to this. So what wasn't he telling her? He had said his life was an open book, that she should ask and he would gladly reveal all...as if he hadn't revealed it all already. But what was she to ask? That was the perplexing thing and she did not wish to seem like she was untrusting, because that wasn't it at all.
Pensive for half a heartbeat, she was brought out of her reverie by the plethora of pleasures coursing through her synapses, perhaps he had sensed her thoughts somehow and sought to relieve her of them? Relax her, well, she was that much.
There was no disguising her surprise when he had spoken option one. The bare faced incredulity that painted her expression was there plain to see, just as she had seen the cold bloody minded resolve in his. He would do that for her? Arri wasn't sure if she should feel so enamoured by that, not after what she had witnessed done to Taru - Khari Vestra's telbun. Things had ended less than well for him, it seemed a very realistic possibility she could end up in a garbage chute somewhere too if the pair of them weren't carefull. Yet Zanear seemed so sure of himself.
"Killing him would mean bringing the wrath of his entire family down upon us. We would be hunted to the ends of the galaxy."
Realizing for the first time since he had last spoken, that she had stilled completely, option two at least had her animated enough to vent a small laugh;
"That's more like it, I like the way you think." She enthused, running one index fingertip down the center of his chest to his sternum, drawing herself close to him again, "The irony, I fear, would not be lost on him either. No, he would never willingly just let me go and he requires no funds he cannot regain within a matter of days. He paid many credits for my life." She hadn't meant to sound quite so somber, but it was becoming more apparent just how much living she had missed out on as a direct result of her conscription. No sense in wasting what was left of life then.
That left them with option three, in her opinion, the best one. However, there was something that had undeniably piqued her interest about that one, that same dead on certainty, that he could believe one hundred percent that security would not be an issue. Now she knew he was holding something back, she had seen beings armed to the teeth unable to get far when it came to entering and exiting this system or circumventing the customs staff in general. So what could he do that they couldn't?
"Alright" Arri began, still relaxed about things whilst returning the same favour he had extended her way, washing him, "I am itching to know just how you intend to get around security, I have been down to the docks, I have passed through the security and know fine well how stringent it is when it comes to documentation. The most complicated forgeries have a difficult time making it through there undetected. Do you have a ship sequestered away, have you bribed a smuggler?" Her question she intermixed with slipping her hands around to his back, trailing her long, slender digits down his prominent spinal ridge, much the same way she had earlier during their lovemaking, when it had insighted the best of erotic responses in him.
"I'll find out eventually anyway." Or so she thought with a curious smirk.

Her discomfort palpable, Khari did all she could do to save face, continuing as she meant to go on, ignoring the fact the woman on the other end had assumed what she had and choosing to cut the connection without further word. Sinara would get the hint.
Her moments peace was about to be interrupted yet again, however, this time a message from the admiral. Knowing all too well how important this might be, she did answer this one immediately and without complaint.
Ah yes, how could she forget? Those vessels, of which two might as well have been scrap, were going to have to be relocated before they reopened that side of the array to incoming or outgoing traffic.
"Have those reports relayed to my office, Admiral, I will view them when I return and be in touch. In the meanwhile, see that the GJO vessels are relocated to one of the vacant construction facilities and their crews instructed to stand down and remain aboard. The usual procedures apply." She gestured for the Colonel to hold off on the swift tour for a second, "-escort back to the transfer zone and then out of system. No formal charges will be brought against them if they comply."
She waited patiently for the Admiral to acknowledge, and then without further ado, signed off. Attention back in the thick of things, this was proving to be a day full of surprises, hopefully none too nasty.
"Wonderful, thank you and of the other small matter?"
And speaking of nasty surprises, Khari thought with a small measure of humour, one she was sure to keep out of her expression, a steely facade in it's place.
"Yes, with the Regent's arrival so imminent we can't be seen to be riddled with miscreants committing petty crime. I have my suspicions but the culprits can spend the rest of their day in detainment before anyone gets round to interviewing them. Nothing can go amiss for this meeting." Her stance on that one was clear, she didn't have time for whatever was going on there. But rest assured when she had a moment, Khari probably wasn't going to like what she heard.
But that still left the small matter of weather she, Tress and the Colonel were going to have time to see this ship? Sliding a questioning glance to the senator, she arched one slender brow, "Do we have time? I'm confident I could spare a moment, but yourself?"

The Regent's Lambda-class shuttle pulls into its docking bay and lands with the metal skids of the shuttle touching down on the deck. The ramp lowers to a procession of Carratosian Royal Guard armed with that form two lines of five flanking each side of the ramp, Kommisar soon follows behind them with a tall and slender looking humanoid behind him. Upon making his way passed the royal guards, who fall in line behind him and his company, Kommisar is stopped by a KSE Captain who greets the Regent with his own group of guards. "Imperial Regent Kommisar, welcome to KDY, I am Capt. Hornsquak of Kuat Security." the officer says as he introduces himself to the Regent. "I have been given instructions to escort you and your guests to some quarters so to offer you a chance to freshen up." The Regent looks to his tall female companion before looking back and addressing the Captain. "Thank you Captain, I thought I was going to be met by Chairbeing Vestra or Col. Klask?" "I'm sorry to disappoint you Regent Kommisar, the Chairbeing is in a meeting with the head of Security if I remember correctly." Hornsquak informs the Regent. "Well then, I guess our next move is to our quarters for now." Kommisar comments with his tone not announcing either way as to his feelings on this. "I take it we can meet with the Chairbeing after a quick rest after our journey. I hope decent accomidations are in order?" "Indeed, Regent, you have the best suite on the station. Second only to the Chairbeing's quarters of course." "My party must not be separated," Kommisar says idly, as to not draw suspicions from his female guest as to his motives but who probably suspects why he said that. "Is there enough rooms in the suite for me and my group?" "Indeed, Regent." Hornsquak replies as he begins to lead the Kommisar and his group to their quarters. Kommisar seems impressed with KDY efficency so far, a feeling he keeps as he and his group enter their quarters with the sound of the doors closing behind them.

More duties and they were piling up on them. They wanted to go see the ship, but now seems there was other thing to keep them busy. Maybe he could go on with out them or go before them to meet the Regent and go over things. "When the regent arrives, he will be shown to his lodgings to refresh and prepare for the meetings, also we will be covering security details with his team then. That will give you and the Senator enough time for a quick review and a few moments to refresh yourselves."
"As to the other matter Lady Vestra, I have will have my best team respond. They are good people, reliable and trustworthy. Should I have them taken to the detainment facility nearest your office?"
Well now, he looked at the Colonel. It seems things were moving faster then he had first thought. But he did raise a brow at something, which he leaned close to Khari and whispered so only she could hear. "I think he is saying your a mess?" he tells her in a mock shocked tone. "Thats not even getting into what i look like. Don't I look dashing?" Well moving on he asks about the rest. "Who do you think is in your rooms? Who has access to them and why would they be int here without your express permission?" This was said loud enough for both of them. " Corporate secrets in there? Some droid malfunctioning, maybe?"He heard her talking to the Admiral about the ships, maybe that could work for their favor, the thought. Would have to talk to her about his idea when they were alone. He still wanted the living ship taking to a secure secret location and the sooner they did that the better. But that still left the small matter of weather she, Tress and the Colonel were going to have time to see this ship? Sliding a questioning glance to the senator, she arched one slender brow, "Do we have time? I'm confident I could spare a moment, but yourself?"
Shrugs "Both being late is better than one or the other keeping things waiting. Let us go see this ship...." and decide what to do with it, his eyes told her. "It will take awhile to get the Regent made comfortable so we have some time. Then afterward we can start the meeting. Besides this ship holds the key to part of the reasons we are talking, is it not?" He smiles at both. **** "Have those reports relayed to my office, Admiral, I will view them when I return and be in touch. No formal charges will be brought against them if they comply." Admiral Seinheild of the KDF aboard his flagship sings off with a salute and turns to go back to his desk. Hes thoughts already on what he has to do. Those orders to Captain Dunst would stand, they were in effect almost what he had been ordered to do. The GJO ships would be tugged to the vacant construction docks for repair. The crew would get dealt with even though he hadn't prepared for their safe return. Though no doubt Captain Dunst would see to it. The Array repairs were underway, as well as planetary defenses so all he had to do was sit back and delegate authority to others while he supervised. Besides it was time for afternoon tea.

Yet Zanear seemed so sure of himself. "Killing him would mean bringing the wrath of his entire family down upon us. We would be hunted to the ends of the galaxy."Ah! Her reaction was fascinating indeed. It was their, he saw it plain as day. She still didn't believe. She was afraid, still thought of the Kuati as all powerful. He'd have to find a way to show her it wasn't true, in fact, few beings ever truly were... Realizing for the first time since he had last spoken, that she had stilled completely, option two at least had her animated enough to vent a small laugh; "That's more like it, I like the way you think." She hadn't meant to sound quite so somber, but it was becoming more apparent just how much living she had missed out on as a direct result of her conscription. No sense in wasting what was left of life then. Arri dearest, you have so little faith! For as much power as you relate to others, you yourself have just as much, perhaps even more, within you! he pointed his index finger at the center of her forehead. The only thing that can hold you back is your own limits. He moved his hands to cup her face, and his eyes bore into hers. When you believe with your heart and soul, then your mind will follow. That left them with option three, in her opinion, the best one. However, there was something that had undeniably piqued her interest about that one, that same dead on certainty, that he could believe one hundred percent that security would not be an issue. However her hands had evoked a response, and he sighed in pleasure. Shall I tell you all things in advance? What fun would it be then? He grinned at her, and let her give him that look. Holding her that way until she finished, he turned off the water and grabbed a pair of towels. A tingling in his spine had him eager to leave this place, and the feeling was growing rapidly by the moment. I will answer your questioning glances, but first, we need to get dressed. We need to leave this place and soon. Before she could even ask a question, he answered it. I can feel it. I have certain, well special abilities. Swiftly he began to gather his clothing, and dressed himself. That sensation began to literally crawl up and down his spine, and soon he was fully dressed. Going to the door, he checked his weapons. He really didn't want to use them, but he'd have to wait and see.

As he waited at the door, a strange thing happened.
His comm went off. Looking down, he unclipped it from his belt, and answered it.
Utinni! was the cry on the other end, and his face turned into a perfect grin. Perfect timing, as always Jekk! he responded. Now listen, I'm on the Array on Kuat.... And from there he began to give the little jawa some instructions.

Captain Banner, formerly Sergeant Banner, pulls the aerosol from his equipment pouch he received from the med officer moments before. He hopes he does not have to use this...
His team readied, he nods to the corporal to open the door. Much to his surprise, the Falleen was preparing to exit through the same door. Taking the initiative of the coincidence, he steps up with a smile on his face, hopefully his sudden entrance catching the Falleen off guard a bit.
"Ah, good, you got word we were on our way. I take it the both of you are ready to head over to see the Colonel then?"
While the Captain's tone and face seem amicable, the portion of the team in plain view in the corridor suggest that should things go even slightly amiss, their mood would only improve. At least they would be shooting things.

The Colonel ignores the attempt by the Senator at humor, and steps forward as one of the KSF corporal's open the small personnel door to the hangar. The Colonel stands aside so that they may enter and see their prize as it were.
Stepping in after them, he looks over at Selena "It is a big one, the data information said they only made small craft, Do these Grey Jedi have some arrangement where they were having these larger ships made, or it this a one-off just for Dooku you think?"

Arri wasn't sure what faith had to do with things, she had always been something of a realist, and perhaps that was half the problem, realists didn't tend to think outside the box. In Zanear's world, there were no limits and that way of thinking had left him freer than most, but at what cost? He didn't seem too hard done by, which suggested opportunism had been working for him. She only hoped it could world for her too.
She did not shy away from his touch, instead finding it calming if anything, looking back at him as he tried to instill in her the passion and zest for all things chaos that he had himself. It didn't take long for her to smile slightly, perhaps a tad embarrassed.
"Forgive me, I'm still learning. When you live your life a certain way for so long it's difficult to change...but I'm willing to give things a shot and that's what matters, correct?" That smile widened, besetting her green eyes with light that danced there on the glassy surface, "I believe you."
He was going for a bit of a long shot there with that first suggestion, "Of course I don't mean you have to tell me everything in advance, you know what I meant." Arri chided him, shaking her head ruefully, he was jesting with her, marginally, she could see that much. Just more of that learning she said she would have to do, she supposed, would be required here.
That or he was not one for those who pried. Yet he did afford her a scrap of honesty when it came to just what he'd been making use of all this time, these 'abilities' as Zanear himself had put them. Now this was truly intriguing, as if he couldn't have gotten anymore interesting! But not wishing to pry again, the Kuati decided it was probably best if she down played that one, especially considering she didn't actually want to get under his skin...in a bad way anyway.
"I see-" She leaned back in his embrace to gain some focus, "-If these abilities will be what enables us to execute this plan we have forming, then I will trust your judgement in using them to the best means you can."
Was he suggesting what she suspected he was? Arri considered, and if so, was he then not simply an innocent bystander to what had transpired in the spaceport that afternoon? Of course she had known he had been there to keep an eye on the Kage, to stop him if necessary, but she didn't know how he had intended to do that and the long list of offences that the Falleen's name was listed against in regards to the incident, had not suggested he had done very much at all in the way of interference. Rather he was simply a suspect. This gave a great deal of weight to her suspicions.
Ultimately, her mind spoke to her from beyond the thoughts clouding it, did this change anything? Change what she felt or wanted to do, how she would have taken his offer? -No, this didn't change a thing. He had come into her life for a reason, it would be wrong to ignore it now because of some revelation that might be lurking around the corner.
As Zanear had correctly identified though, they were running short on time. He, for instance, was already moving when he'd suggested she should, tossing her a towel and appropriating one for himself before searching out his clothes.
"Point taken, we can take the short cut out of here."
Arri did likewise, choosing to pick out some of Khari's more inconspicuous practical wear when it came to dressing herself haphazardly. The falleen was in an increasing rush and she wasn't about to argue with him on his hunches. She had noticed the change in him progressively, leading to the point where now, he appeared far more...aware.
By the time she was done, she had rushed into the main room of the apartment to meet with him there, when the sound of a bleeping comlink broke the silence with it's shrill tone. It wasn't her one, so of course her gaze snapped up to meet that of Zanear, who was already reaching one clawed hand to answer.
"Jekk?" Arri near squeaked, possibly at hearing the unacustomedly high-pitched voice speaking on the other end of that transmission. So Zanear had a partner in crime now. The plot thickened.
Holding up both hands, she gesticulated apologetically, waving off her questions, there would be a time to ask those and it was not now. So while the Falleen began giving his counterpart a series of instructions, she kept her attention rooted on that door. Hadn't he been urgently needing to vacate the room a few seconds ago? Like most things, his urgency was also infectious.
It was at this point that time seemed to stand still for one horrific moment. Without due warning, the main door to the apartment slid open with a hiss, normally so soft it was gentle on the ears, that now sounded so piercing it drew the blonde's attention immediately. Standing in the threshold were several, armed security personnel, none of whom she recognized, which suggested they had been sent here at the behest of someone much further afield. And had she cared to unfreeze herself from the spot, icy adrenaline cloying at her muscles with the fight or flight reflex, she would have seen many more in the corridoor beyond.
No, no no no this wasn't happening, not now, not today!
Mind doing a full 360, she didn't know weather to act as if she had known all along, or pretend to be calmly oblivious and get rid of them some other way that didn't involve force...because logistically speaking, she never expected to be able to take on one of them and win. The whole team would be suicide.
"Excuse me, the Colonel? Are you certain you have the right address, we weren't expecting anybody. In fact, we were just here to collect something I left behind earlier, there must be some mistake."
That knock at the door, it had to have been then...this bunch could not have been out here all this time. She knew they should have done something about their mystery caller earlier!
"If you would just allow us a little room, perhaps we can clear a few things up?" A little room would give her enough time to jam the door shut again and break it's mechanism, but that would only buy them minimal time. If Zanear had a better plan, now would be the best time to suggest it.

Everything had come to a head rather quickly, and although he hadn't expected to see armed guards right at the door, he'd been warned in advance. He was just as surprised to see the Captain, although the expression on his face was unreadable. The man recovered quickly however, and made a decent suggestion. He was about to reply, when Arri stepped forward.
Her comments redirected the Captain's focus, giving the Falleen precious moments to consider the options. All these guards weren't here to escort him to see the Colonel, that was obvious. They must be here to stop an intruder...that knock on the door! Damn his eyes! He was too caught up in the moment, but he could fix it, no problem.
Actually Captain, I hadn't got any such word. Miss Arri here had to gather some items before we were on our way. The Falleen reached into his pocket and drew out the packet of smoke-sticks. Pulling one out for himself, he placed it in his mouth and offered the man one as well. Regardless of his response, he put the pack away when done and drew a lighter, iginting his own. Oddly enough, he intoned, putting the power of the Force into his statement, we had only just arrived. But as we came down the corridor we saw two men moving swiftly away from here, dressed in all black and carrying a sack of items. He took a moment, letting the suggestion sink in for a few before continuing. They were heading west...maybe we could come with you and help apprehend them?
