The Colonel follows them into the transport, then turns to close the doors as they make themselves comfortable.
"Its shields are down currently, and it is wrapped in a net that can be ionized in micro-seconds. Since most of the systems of the ship are of conventional construction, I am more concerned that it might be too much power than it being inadequate. Living things do not have circuit breakers and fail-safes to prevent overloading like normal equipment."
As the transport heads to the hangar where Selene is, the Colonel looks back over to the both of them, seeing if they are going to be a little more open, or if it will be the usual Kuati games.

"For curiosity's sake then, and I for one am exceedingly curious to see what the Kage was so eager to keep from us." That could be something of an occupational hazard, but Khari recalled the way that Dooku had seemed so abrupt when he had found both she and Tress investigating the craft. To any outsider looking in, it would have just appeared that they were genuinely taking a look at it, it was something of a rare marvel, surely he would have understood that? Though the one person who had been aboard that craft was Arri, and she had told her little about what was inside, save for the all too brief details concerning how the Kage had explained he piloted the vessel.
A vessel that answered to it's name...you certainly didn't see that every day.
She was climbing into the Colonels transport when, just as before, Tress had decided to take 'matters' into his own hands again, catching her at the most inopportune moment in time, knowing all too well her public predicament would be worsened with his help. But credit to her due, whilst she had shot him a look that bore daggers of warning, the innocence behind his own only infuriating her more, she did manage to keep her composure intact until she was sat down. Then things became inevitably more difficult.
When Tress had joined her, sliding into the seat next beside her, Khari was seated rather awkwardly forefinger and thumb pinched against the bridge of her nose below the ridge of her eye sockets appearing to be in some form of minor, agitated discomfort. Without looking him in the eye, perhaps in deeper concern that he would just make matters too much to take without exclaimation, she tossed a remark his way instead.
"Must you do that now? You know how it upsets my ocular implants."
With no further comment, she was quite happy to let the Klask interject with his answer.
True enough, those craft she had set eyes upon in the past had possessed both technological and biotech merged into one tidy package. This was a recent revelation to put it mildly and she cursed the Kage silently for preventing them getting a better look earlier on. They could have prepared for this.
"Any new additions by the..." That irritating little problem she was having was becoming difficult to ignore, so it was a sheer act of desparation on her part that caused her to attempt to subtly kick Tress in the shin for his efforts. "....by the Yuuzhan Vong, should be yet another reason to be cautious."
That little kick had actually been a little more forceful than she had intended, but instead of wincing or apologizing - the action would have been mostly obscured back here anyway - Khari continued to speak without paying attention to any look Tress might have given her for her troubles.
"I believe we may have found that solution to long term storage. A living ship could quite happily coexist with inoccuous living company, some that could dampen it's abilities to connect with others yet remain non threatening enough not to hankle the ships consciousness. When we required access to it, your technique could easily be applied in short, managable sessions, Colonel."
It was one idea, a combination of what she and Tress had planned all along, utilizing this method of overloading the ships senses enough to gain safe access to it with which the researchers could glean much information. She saw no harm in tossing that out there.

He followed them along the way he was looking around. This was a nice play he thought. Outward appearance was a tourist almost, but inside he was thinking finally a closer look at things. He wanted this to work, the meshing of three different aspects all rolled into one. A living ship encasing the best ship components the galaxy has to offer. There was KDYs new slogan for their advertising devision. Stepping in after Khari into the waiting shuttle he follows her and sits near her but at the window seat. "So exciting for some reason don't you think?" he says as he looks out the window. "Must you do that now? You know how it upsets my ocular implants."
Frowning he looks at her and sighs as he reaches into his pocket to turn things off. Then whispers for her benefit. "You know i can hear very well....dont complain when i start staring a bit to hard at everyones lips or ignore everyone....i cant hear them talking to me." Soon he was off reading lips, good thing was his good ear was pointed in their direction so he could hear mostly. Dovin Basals? What was this then? Something new added or an original modification? From everything he had researched they shouldn't have them added. Only a mixture of ship components for thrust and maneuvering. "A new addition by the..." That irritating little problem she was having was becoming difficult to ignore, so it was a sheer act of desperation on her part that caused her to attempt to subtly kick Tress in the shin for his efforts. "....by the Yuuzhan Vong, perhaps? Yet another reason to be cautious." The kick had his sitting up and saying the first thing coming to his mind. "The Grey Kage has ties to the Yuuzhan Vong then? This is something to be cautious about definitely. Was this a ploy of theirs to cause KDY problems you think?" He tells them speaking out loud in a hurry. He wasn't convinced, but it would be out there now. "A constant source of threat to the dovin basals would indeed keep them busy and overload them for sure, but as you stated, they would become tired over time, require rest and time to heal. The life expectancy of the ship would diminish rapidly over time, so therefore we need to find another solution quickly....I believe we may have found that solution. A living ship could quite happily coexist with inoccuous living company, some that could dampen it's abilities to connect with others yet remain non threatening enough not to hankle the ships consciousness. When we required access to it, your technique could easily be applied in short, manageable sessions, Colonel."
He almost kicked her this time, but all he did was give a sweet smile. "That is well thought out idea. I would never have thought of it...." Why he said that was anyones guess. So he turned and looked out the window to escape the looks he might have received over it.

"Then that is another thing we share, I do have a taste for the uhh, exotic shall we say?" He smiled at that comment widely. Oh yes, you do indeed! he thought to himself. One look into the adjoining room, and on the floor where their clothing still lay, was evidence enough of that. Making her way over to the table, she set her plate down and allowed Zanear to be the gentleman by pulling out her seat for her, placing the ridiculously ornate linen in her lap thereafter. Scooting in as he pushed the chair in for her, her gaze had been down cast until the tell tale prickle of a claw tipped finger ran along the length of her jawline ever so lightly, causing her to gaze up into his hypnotic violet eyes, the kiss that they shared all too brief but nonetheless sent her pulse racing, hot streaks of reminiscent need curling up her spine. She studied him with an educated eye, if it was one thing people of her 'profession' were, it was educated. He was a curious specimen to say the least, carefree and yet well poised the entire time, the only time she had evidently clearly felt him lose control had been earlier...and that had been highly delightful putting it mildly. Picking up her own utensils, she began to eat when he had settled, ravenous herself after the long hours spent in passionate tryst, the food would allow them both chance to recuperate, recover their strength and sharpness of wit with which to plot this little getaway of theirs as it were. With equal measures acute manners and poise of her own, she listened to his explanation, of how he had found himself where he was now, where he had been intending to go. "I have been to Coruscant, twice, maybe three occasions, but as you say, once you get past the veneer, there is little more to do there than say on any of the core worlds. I suppose I found it a little boring myself, but then my being there was less of my own choosing, more of a duty bound thing."Again he nodded as she spoke. She'd hit it on the mark. Most of the Core worlds shared the same excitements, although each had their own flavor to it. "A here and now man? That is one fact I couldn't fail to notice." She purred quite contentedly, "I like that, impromptu action calls for a sharp mind and you have that in abundance. It also calls for suggestive subterfuge, which you pull off flawlessly."
There was much to admire, so why should she not do so openly, he had done so with her and it was only fair that she speak her mind just as freely. It could do little harm. He finished his food first, he'd done little talking, letting her work things out for herself. And now she had begun to open up a little, complementing him as he did her, which was perfectly fine, after all, they only shared the truth when it came to those matters. Holding his gaze for a moment longer, she glanced back down at the contents of her plate, pensive in her motions. "I ponder just how we intend to leave this place unnoticed. I am certain there is a way around everything but any identification I carry with me would be legitimate." This would be a problem, one she didn't want to have to worry about...not with other activities on the cards anyway, but her master was highly unlikely to just let her go, not when he had paid such a high price for her in the first place. And certainly not when she carried with her the wealth of classified knowledge she did. He need not have worried about that, Arri thought, what she knew she would remain with her and no other. Not if she could help it. It wouldn't have been of interest to Zanear anyway...Kuati business was often only useful to they and their competitors, of which Zanear most clearly was not. Taking another bite to eat, she waited until she was done to utter anything else, waving off her earlier comment with a simple hand gesture as if it were nothing...everything would work out, she was not quite sure how just yet, but he wasn't the only one who could work improvisation. He placed his hands together, and set his chin upon it. Her question was legitimate. He of course, could always just up and leave, any questions usually solved with a simple Force nudge. But with Arri...it might get complicated. Not that it was a problem, he'd dealt with complications before... But there was something else she had been curious about. "Tell me," she asked, steepling her fingers to cradle her chin as she leaned in, elbows before the half empty dish, "Just where do you see this going,?" She was all for doing things on a whim, it was a whim that had seen here here to begin with but she didn't want to be left high and dry on some strange world. While she considered the probability unlikely, this was a huge risk she was taking...one she wanted to take. He somewhat frowned at that question. Sliding out of his chair, he walked over to where she sat, and knelt upon the floor. He placed his hands on either side of her legs, at the ankles, and began to slowly move them up, his eyes on his own hands the whole time. Slowly they moved the length of her, until they reached mid chest, where they moved in slightly to cup her. At this point he looked into her eyes fiercely. Do you think that I'd drop you right away, as if your some object that I grew bored with? No...my life has been changed by you. While I've had business partners and friends before, you are on a whole other level. He moved in, his lips, his tongue caressing the places his hands held, drawing to life the desire within. No... he whispered, your with me all the way now, no matter what... and with that he wrapped his arms around her and lifted her as he stood, carrying her over to the overly ornate and plush rug that lay upon the floor. He laid her down there, and he lay with her, once again giving in to the hedonistic pleasures they both seemed to need to share with each other. Simply put, she was his drug, and he could never get enough.

That frown signified the start of a curious uncertainty within Arri. Was he upset that she had asked? Had she merely hit the right key, or was that concern she had seen in him then? His emotions were easy enough to read, not unlike human ones in almost every aspect, but he as a personality was a cool and collected one who seemed to thrive amid the chaos. She had to admit, that was a good portion of the allure, that and his sharp witt.
Looking on as he knelt before her, eyes holding her gaze every bit as carefully precise as his hands held her body, gliding over her contours effortlessly smooth in their path to pause when he reached the swell of her chest, his hands rising and falling with her every measured breath. She was blushing ad his reassurance, she realized just a second too soon to conceal her ardor, so resisted the urge to look away shyly.
"Forgive me if it seemed like I was rudely questioning your intentions, but there is much that we still have to learn from eachother, about eachother." Her voice intoned softly, glancing down to where his hands were now resting, as yet unmoving. Reaching out to him, she brushed the back of her hand gently over one of his prominent cheek bones, lustful avarice glimmering in her eyes. "I have only good reports thus far...though even I have to admit, that would depend on your definition of 'good'."
The smile she eminated when she had spoken the latter half of that statement was infectious, she couldn't help herself sometimes, rarely the outspoken one for class reasons, it was quite the opposite when among those who saw you as you were, a person and not property to be picked up and put down whenever it suited them. This was something she could get used to, but first...
"Plans..." she murmured quietly, not really believing herself "...we should make some at least."
His lips trailed fire through her synapses, her skin burning with the sweetest desire, and while his words registered with her, comfort's place had long been taken by something far more profound. Fervour, longing, want, all those things alluded to it.
"mmm...you make an interestingly good argument, plans can wait a while longer."
She didn't protest at him carrying her away from the table and towards the rug sprawled out upon the floor, their minds were the same when it came to that thought, a silent accord. When he lay with her, all doubt vanished completely, devoured as they would be, by their lustful endeavours, showering him with hungry kisses, her hands pulling him closer for the next heated encounter.
little did Arri realize the unexpected development that was approaching the door to that appartment, could well turn their little adventure here into a whole world of problems for them both.
The high-pitched and melodical ringing of the door chime almost physically bounced Arri up from where she was resting. Eyes wide with surprise she slowly glanced towards the door - almost as if she expected whoever was out there to be able to see them through the wall - what did they do now? Well whoever it was clearly didn't have access, because another moment passed and the chime sounded again. Perhaps they had disturbed others with all the noise...which was mildly amusing, but doubtful. This apartment was set far appart from the others in the near vicinity.
"I don't know about you, but I wasn't expecting anyone." Arri whispered as quietly as she was able within reason of Zanear hearing.

Nor do I even care at this moment... and with that, he had nothing more to say, his preoccupation once again consumed his thoughts and actions, reveling in her, taking her again and again, until he was spent. It was only afterward did he seem to give heed to her startle, and out of the blue he began to laugh. Dearest Arri, do we make a run for it now, or should we retire to some other location?

Any concerns she might have had for the fact someone was trying to get their attention, dissolved the instant Zanear decided that it would be a waste of their time trying to find out. Besides, they had far more interesting things to be doing and she wasn't about to disagree with something she felt so 'passionately' about anyway. So to all nine corellian hells with whoever was outside that door, let them listen if that was what they wanted to do, Arri really did not care.
"Well I am glad we are in agreement on that little matter." She purred in avid response, quite happily pulling him down against her for a searingly playful kiss.
What she did care about, however, was making certain they both got the utmost enjoyment out of their trysting, that much she could see to tenfold, as well could he. By the time that they had both pushed the boundaries of physical excertion, laying totally and utterly spent once again on the plushness of that ridiculously ornate rug, Arri couldn't help but dig deep into her reserves to muster a smile at how the falleen had only chosen now to deal with their little problem.
Nothing like getting your priorities straight, the Kuati thought with great amusement, and he did it so well.
"Make a run for it?" She laughed lightly, the subtle light of the room dancing in her eyes with sated merriment, "I don't think I can walk straight after all that...let alone run, at least not without looking extremely undignified."
The images that conjured to mind made her skin flush almost the same colour his had gone for a moment there during their lovemaking....undignified indeed, and if anyone could make a getaway look dignified, chances were, they were Kuati.
Reaching up to him, she ran one index finger lightly down his tapered jawline where her thumb joined it at capturing his chin for a brief moment whilst she leaned up to kiss him softly, lingering for a heartbeat to savour the sensation - the heady mix of his pheromones and the dull ache in her body merely adding to the sheer pleasure it was to be in his presence.
"A change of location is definitely in order, however. I somehow think that when the owner of this property arrives back, we aren't going to be on their guest list. But we could acquire those credits, if you're game?" A quirk of one slender blonde eyebrow was all she gave in question along with her words while he deliberated, he was impulsive, that had been an impulsive thought...she had intended to gather those funds herself somewhere between now and when they chose to leave this place, but there was no time like the present, she supposed.
"And if we happen to...oh, I don't know, fall into an empty private office or two along the way, then all the better." Expression perfectly innocent, she held her composure for the duration it would take for him to acknowledge what she had said and either act on that or offer an alternative.
The day couldn't get any better thus far, but she wouldn't underestimate him to break that record.

He out and out laughed aloud at that statement, a grin filling his entire face. Shaking his own head in amusement, he responded in kind. Your point is well taken! Although I think we might want to practice...I plan on making everyday I'm with you as intimate as possible. He spoke the last slyly, playfully. A man whose sexual appetite was already high, she found ways to bring him to a higher level. He now doubted he would ever make love to any other woman as good, nay, as amazing as she was. He wondered for just a moment if he even wanted to. Looking into her eyes, he begun to realize that answer was simple. Indeed, the answer he long awaited simply lay before him, in all her glory. The images that conjured to mind made her skin flush almost the same colour his had gone for a moment there during their lovemaking....undignified indeed, and if anyone could make a getaway look dignified, chances were, they were Kuati. He nodded once as she spoke, then laid his head on his hand, the elbow supporting it. Truly, I wish I could see the reaction on her face...priceless I'm sure. He sighed aloud, running his hand along her neckline to her bellybutton. Yes, credits. The best thing about them? They have a tendancy to change lives! And with that said he stood, his face one of pure joy. Moving about the rooms, he gathered a fresh towel, and headed back into the sani-steam. I'd invite you back in with me... he called aloud over his shoulder, but I fear we'd never leave this place!"And if we happen to...oh, I don't know, fall into an empty private office or two along the way, then all the better." The day couldn't get any better thus far, but she wouldn't underestimate him to break that record. She was a naughty one, he thought to himself joyfully. She only needed to see freedom look her in the face to truly embrace it! She was smart, had a sharp wit and an unquencable lust...much the same as he did. He could teach her the other things, how to live by your wits alone, how to breed Chaos where ever you went, how to thrive in it, to let it's maelstrom envelop you yet never control you. They would have a lifetime together to do it...Arri and Zanear, Chaos from A to Z. He rather liked the sound of that. And then he heard her suggestion. Leaning his head out of the sani-steam, he shook his head and grinned. I say lets pick ones at random..occupied or not! He laughed aloud, heartily. We can tie them up, and let them watch...show them what it's like to really make love...

As the transport makes its way to the the hangar where the ship is stowed, The Colonel sits quietly listening to Khari and Tress. As the transport slows then makes a turn, "We should be there momentarily."

His laughter was infectious, or perhaps it was hers? She had been chuckling away at that thought for some moments prior, it was only fair to share the source of her amusement, they had shared almost everything else thus far.
"Practice makes perfect as they say, you'll find no objections from me." She assured him with an appraising gaze.
Propping herself up on her elbows, Arri took that moment to cast a glance around the room and nearly collapsed into another fit of laughter. Some might have said the place had seen better days, but to her she couldn't think of a time it had seen better use, at least not during her generation anyway. With the soft furnishings of the couch strewn all over the place, a trail of clothes leading a path of disarray to the other room it certainly looked a mess, but that wasn't her responsibility anymore, not now.
Now that, the golden haired woman thought with much delight, that felt good. He brought out the carefree side in her, which had in turn evoked the passion they had shared since their arrival, what wasn't to like?
Evidently he had been thinking in sync with herself, casting a critical eye about the decadant chamber space, and she was forced to stifle a little giggle when Zanear had mentioned seeing the look on Khari's face. She wasn't sure she shared that view, unless of course, she had been well out of range of the repercussions. What Zanear was unaware of, however, was the simple reason she had been entrusted with the combination to open the door to this apartment was purely a matter of trust. Khari hadn't simply allowed her access so that Arri could bother her when she was trying to relax, it had been because they had formed something of a friendship early on in Arri's expanded job role. Rather than deal with the Kuhlvults direct, Khari would speak with her, and she would convey that message on, it had worked to heal a large rift more than once, grease the wheels of progress so it seemed. This was a total abuse of that trust - but this was her freedom at stake here, a freedom she would choose to spend with Zanear...surely Khari would understand that much?
But the more she considered it, she realized, Khari really wouldn't, because she was who she was.
"Priceless is the word, particularly that ornamental vase that was clipped as we negotiated with the table." She purred, naturally gravitating towards his touch "I can't imagine what she'll think happened here...and then again I know for a fact that she will work it out quicker than most."
Before he had chance to ask her just what she had meant by that one, she shook her head chastely, offering an elaborate flourish with one hand, "I am sworn to secrecy."
Kissing him softly, playfully on the tip of his nose, she let him rise and make for the sanisteam, hanging back as requested to recover items of her clothing. If someone did come back to the door and find their way in, at least she wouldn't be caught with her...well, her everything down. When Zanear was done, she could then take a quick sanisteam herself, appropriate some of Khari's clothing and then they would be away.
Picking her way into the other room, she could hear Zanear on his merry way, as carefree and cool as ever, it made him a joy to be around she considered - that definitely wasn't the pheromones. The sooner their next little adventure began the better, she could scarcely contain herself around him and it oddly didn't concern her one little bit. Spend a life being reserved and opressed and she supposed that this was the result, but it wouldn't do to totally forget herself, that often came with some nasty repercussions.
That one had her laughing along with him, the very idea would have had her agreeing too, if what she had previously been witness to had not happened a few weeks ago. What a time to walk in on something - but then the ultimate irony would have been if she and Zanear had been caught here. Peering around the corner to the sanisteam, her smirk widened broadly at what sight met her eyes, glance by glorious glance, just watching the vision of exotic perfection for a few moments, therin deciding he was quite the exhibitionist, negating the task of activating the modesty screen and Arri was not complaining by any stretch of the word.
She had almost forgotten what she was going to say.
"You have yourself a deal, i'll retrieve the binders shall I?"
Raising a brow as her expression shifted to a playful humour, he really shouldn't encourage her, and then again perhaps he should? Keeping that little revelation to herself, she propped herself up, lithely, against the open door's threshold and lost herself to the reverie for a moment. Adopting a relaxed pensive posture, she was trying to work out just who would have tried calling earlier when it was common knowledge that Lady Vestra was away on business, and indeed for her own safety. It didn't make much sense, and it was unlikely any commerical representatives would have been allowed this far into the headquarters complex without being hampered in some way.
It shouldn't have bothered her, that was the view that Zanear had taken, and yet it still did - no, she was going to forget about it, there was no sense in worrying herself silly over something that trivial.
Turning her attention back to something far more pleasant, the blonde haired woman canted her head slightly to one side as she appraised him with her glance.
"Are you sure I cannot join you?" She asked mock innocently, though her features looked anything but, "Perhaps a little discussion about how I intend to acquire those credits, whilst we work out how, exactly, we intend to smuggle me out of here?" Oh she knew which option she prefered, but he had said time was of the essence...
Less than comfortable where she was sitting, all Khari could do in that moment was mutter a tight-lipped "Mhmm." in reply to his nonchalance.
Whilst she did not add further word to that poigniant question, the Kuati female continued to glare warning at Tress the entire time, as if her stare alone would have hit him like a force wave exuded by a Jedi. It, of course, did not, but he seemed to get the hint nevertheless.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Khari swept back an errant lock of her unruly raven hair, neatly depositing it behind her ear and turning her head back to look at him, calm and official facade firmly back in place.
"Then we shall take extra care in seeing that we speak very clearly for your benefit." She replied, in an almost sarcastically clear and precisely imperious tone. One he wouldn't fail to miss, since she was adding to it with a steely glance.
Facing front and center, she could clearly see ahead of them, the construction docks visible beyond the tinted viewports whizzing by as their transport sped towards it's destination. Along the way they passed through areas of the array still badly damaged from the incidents that had brought this ship to them in the first place, the sheer scale of the damage that one or two force users could create only serving to reaffirm Khari's belief that the galaxy really would be a better place without them. Well, it might well be safter at least, if ever there was a problem within this galaxy, rest assured that at the center of it, was a force sensitive being. Sith, Jedi, grey... in essence they were all the same, dangerous if you were on the opposing side or in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Continuing on in silence, the transport slowed when the huge reinforced doors of the containment hangar loomed into view from across the way. Too accustomed to such things, Khari found it difficult to be in awe of the functionality and design of the place, how well one was juxtaposed beatufiully with the other, but what lay beyond those doors was what held all their interests.
When the transport finally came to a halt, she careully slid Tress a hopeful glance, this was the big one, this was what could potentially unlock the secrets to creating and mass producing these craft for themselves. That, she thought prudently, was never anything to be taken lightly.
"Let us see what we have here then, shall we?"

Aboard the Atrocity... Tuulk looks his new tasking orders over in his chair and calls down to Ricky in the command pit. "Get me the Regent, I wish to speak to him before we leave." "Actually Sir, I have the Regent on the comline right now wanting to speak with you." "Well, isn't that good timing?" Tuulk asks rhetorically. "Put him through." With a flip of a switch on the panel in front of him, Ricky patches the holo of Kommisar through to the Grand Admiral. Kommisar's image appears to the Regent dressed in his normal black and ornamented garb; he bows to the Admiral and gives him a smile as he begins to speak. "Grand Admiral Tuulk, I wasn't expecting you to see you here." "Too bad I can't say likewise, I received a report telling my of your arrival." Tuulk replies, after the last meeting of the High Command, his opinion of the Regent is low and buried deep to not show on the surface. "I take it you are here to conduct the business of negotiating with KDY over your new pet project?" "You would be right, we need to get the ball rolling quickly on this. Were you successful here?" Kommisar asks about the recent problem in orbit. "Yes, the targets are secured and we're heading to Kamino to aid in the capture of Starkiller." Tuulk tells the Regent, and looking at the combat clock, he needs to get their quick. "If you don't mind Regent, please inform the commander of the Cixelsyd that he has operational control from here on out." "I will do that Admiral, good luck to you." Kommisar replies and bows as his image fades. As soon as its gone, Tuulk orders an immediate hyperspace jump to Kamino orbit. The massive Eclipse-class ship maneuvers its way into a safe position before jumping away. *********************************************************** Aboard the Cixelsyd... Capt. Loratab is looking at the Atrocity as it departs Kuati space, he turns to see the image of Grand Admiral Tuulk fades from speaking with Regent Kommisar and the Captain knows what is coming next. Kommisar approaches Lortab with a very tall humanoid woman behind him, who looks like she wishes to be elsewhere, and stops to hand the Captain a datapad. "Captain, you are in operational control of the rescue and aid efforts, do the Empire proud." "I intend to do nothing less, Regent Kommisar." Lortab says with a salute. "Is my shuttle ready for depature?" Kommisar asks. "It was ready before we entered Kuati space," Lortab informs."port hangar bay milord; good luck with the KDY meeting." "Thank you Captain, please send a message to KDY that I am seeking to meet with Chairbeing Khari Vestra at the earliest possible convenience." "Will do, milord." Lortab says with a bow before Kommisar and his tall female friend leave the bridge. Within minutes of them leaving, Lortab spots the Regent's shuttle passing over the bow of the ship and approach the KDY shipyards. Little does Lortab or anyone else know, why in particular, the Regent is here, the Captain begins to pass out deployment orders for the ships of Shadow Fleet. The Imperial Dreadnaught Firestarter[/] begins to run sensor sweeps and send the information back to the fleet, the four Guardian-class star destroyers take up the Atrocity's old position over the damaged section of the ship yards in mid-range formation while the Chiss destroyers engage their cloaking devices to lay in wait for anyone who might be stupid enough to attack.

Post by Zanear the Edge on Jan 1, 2011 3:39:31 GMT -5
His laughter was infectious, or perhaps it was hers? She had been chuckling away at that thought for some moments prior, it was only fair to share the source of her amusement, they had shared almost everything else thus far. "Practice makes perfect as they say, you'll find no objections from me." She assured him with an appraising gaze. "Priceless is the word, particularly that ornamental vase that was clipped as we negotiated with the table." She purred, naturally gravitating towards his touch "I can't imagine what she'll think happened here...and then again I know for a fact that she will work it out quicker than most."Before he had chance to ask her just what she had meant by that one, she shook her head chastely, offering an elaborate flourish with one hand, "I am sworn to secrecy."Kissing him softly, playfully on the tip of his nose, she let him rise and make for the sanisteam, hanging back as requested to recover items of her clothing. If someone did come back to the door and find their way in, at least she wouldn't be caught with her...well, her everything down. When Zanear was done, she could then take a quick sanisteam herself, appropriate some of Khari's clothing and then they would be away. That one had her laughing along with him, the very idea would have had her agreeing too, if what she had previously been witness to had not happened a few weeks ago. What a time to walk in on something - but then the ultimate irony would have been if she and Zanear had been caught here. Peering around the corner to the sanisteam, her smirk widened broadly at what sight met her eyes, glance by glorious glance, just watching the vision of exotic perfection for a few moments, therein deciding he was quite the exhibitionist, negating the task of activating the modesty screen and Arri was not complaining by any stretch of the word. She had almost forgotten what she was going to say. "You have yourself a deal, i'll retrieve the binders shall I?" Please do! came his exclamation from within. He had watched her watch him, and yet he pretended he didn't notice. He was rather pleased with himself, and knew that she had been pleased by him...in fact quite often! Raising a brow as her expression shifted to a playful humour, he really shouldn't encourage her, and then again perhaps he should? Keeping that little revelation to herself, she propped herself up, lithely, against the open door's threshold and lost herself to the reverie for a moment. Turning her attention back to something far more pleasant, the blonde haired woman canted her head slightly to one side as she appraised him with her glance. "Are you sure I cannot join you?" She asked mock innocently, though her features looked anything but, "Perhaps a little discussion about how I intend to acquire those credits, whilst we work out how, exactly, we intend to smuggle me out of here?" Oh she knew which option she preferred, but he had said time was of the essence... Oh how she could read his mind! He knew the difference between being careless and carefree, but she had a way about her that made him almost lose his mind! So even though he knew he shouldn't, and that if he did it would lead to another bout of intense physical interaction, he stuck his arm out in response and beckoned her with one finger. Once she had gotten close enough, he snaked an arm out and around her waist, pulling her in with him, her body pressed tight against his. Tell me your plan love, and I'll wash... and without waiting he began to bathe her, taking extra care to thoroughly clean every ounce of her. He waited until she finished, and then broached the subject of her cessation of services. I see three options. One, I could just kill him. That's the easiest method! His grin almost lead her to believe he was joking, but there was a steely gaze in his eyes. If she looked, she'd understand that not only could he do such a thing, he would. Option two is purchase your release...imagine if we used his own credits? he added the last with good humor. The third being we steal a ship and just go. I can get us past any security without a problem. And that was the truth, he could. It just depended on whether or not people were actually looking for them. That, of course, was the tricky part.

The Colonel opens the door of the transport and steps out offering a hand to Khari in case she has one of her inopportune episodes she seems to have been recently plagued with.
He nods to the guards as the three of them walk over to a small inset personnel door and he hands over his code cylinder to one of the men to unlock it.
"At least you will not have a psychopath babbling at you when you view it thi...
The Colonel's com beeps for attention and he retrieves it from his belt. With a agitated glance at it he speaks with a slightly apologetic tone to Khari.
"Excuse me for a moment...
With an abrupt tone he answers.
"Klask... go"
One of the Colonel's junior officers relays a message.
"Colonel, the Cixelsyd has arrived and the Regent is en route by shuttle. They should be docking in 10 minutes. The security details are ready and deployed, the prep team will be completing their detection sweep just before he arrives. We got word only seconds ago, Control did not let us know the ship entered orbit. Oh, and a relay message has arrived as well, another group asking for a meeting with the executives. I have no information regarding the Saar who are asking."
The Colonel is slightly taken aback, why would Control not pass on such important information... Clearly the Admiral has his own agenda in this, ah the Kuati officer corps.
Turning to Khari as he disconnects and replaces the com on his belt.
"Lady Vestra, I have just been informed that the Regent is in system, and will be landing in moments. And it seems someone else is wanting ships as well."
The Colonel waits for her or the Senator to reply, having such short notice that the Regent is imminently arriving will more than likely change plans rapidly.
Thinking to himself, the Colonel ponders the "Saar" it sounds familiar, but he cannot place it.

Post by kaalyanii Hul on Jan 1, 2011 12:12:22 GMT -5
Everything about this journey had been unnerving, from the reports that the system had been in a state of lockdown, to the very fact she had to walk among those who not too long ago would have attempted to kill her simply because of her species. And she, them. It was an unsettling start to say the least, not all the members of high command had been pleased with this idea, but Kommisar had assured her they would come around when they realized what a success this project would be. Kaalyanii had it on good authority that the shapers selected for the biological aspects of this project were some of the best loyalist shapers that could have been selected. Each one had undergone a barrage of tests and trials to determine who's techniques worked the best, utilizing only the finest shaping protocols direct from the gods themselves. Now it depended on the beings here at KDY to follow up that lead with masterful technological protocols...if protocols was the correct term for their own brand of shaping?
Yet another nuance she was going to have to discover, get used to, that was progress.
Standing tall and proud, Kaalyanii - formerly of domain Hul - was adorned with the multi-porous attaching ooglith masquer, appropriating the creature not simply because it seemed to set the grew of the Cixelsyd at ease, but because there was simply no chance in the galaxy that the Kuati security forces were going to let a Yuuzhan Vong through their transfer zone. This was non negotiable, high level security alert or not, the Kuati government had made their stance on that abundantly clear at the end of the war, the Yuuzhan Vong and former peace brigade were not welcome through their gateway to the core. She would have preferred not to have worn the masquer, of course, but the need for deception was such that she could understand the motivations behind the 'friendly suggestion.' It was a small price to pay for a peaceful transaction.
Appearing as near human as was necessary, her size wasn't something so easily hidden, and so she had become Kommisar's unofficial shadow for the duration of the journey to come, she would leave everything up to him unless consulted, as was her place in things for the time being, advise where she could and...gods willing, eventually she could be truthful about her true identity with the chairperson of KDY without causing too much of a scene.
Kommisar had seemed quietly confident about this, but knowing precisely what the Yuuzhan Vong had done to Kuat, Kaalyanii didn't share his optimism. Add to this the unsettlingly sharp angled interior of the shuttle that had been prepared to convey them to the transfer zone, and she was about as agitated as they came. Even after all this time she had spent getting used to her made-thing surroundings, every sharp angle, perfectly curved edge made her shudder slightly inwardly. But for the Yuuzhan Vong to truly intergrate, they would need to adapt...it wasn't something that came naturally.
"I have refreshed my masquer, I am confident that it will be in good condition for the duration of our meeting." She informed Kommisar dutifully, the creature hadn't travelled well at all, finding the vessel's artificial air scrubbers harsh on the masquer's outer skin, leaving it cracked and irritated to no end. Having only been allowed to bring the minimal on board with her, Kaalyanii had been forced to soak the creature in a basin of abominably purified water and add some of the natural sap, brought with her, that the creature loved to ingest so much. Only then had it seemed to recover, from the harshness of the recycled air, well enough that she could apply it with the usual ammount of agonizing pain it took to do so.
Now sheathed by it's second skin, she was reminded of the days long since lost to her, spent as a warrior of domain Hul. And for the first time she realized that she missed them, in some strange sense of the term, Yuuzhan Vong did not miss things, they did not long for anything aside from the glory of battle and therefore the gods. They did not feel sadness through loss, but times were changing and so was she. Now she was more than a warrior, more than the pitiful shamed being she had been falsely forced to believe she was via extension, she was Extolled.
Now all that was left, was to depart, she could scarcely wait.
