Zanear might not have realized it, or perhaps he did, but for her to hear that her opinion mattered to anyone aside from herself, was almost like opening the flood gates to everything she had ever kept repressed in her entire life. Arri had known all throughout her life that this was not the case on other worlds, that she had equal right there, but as fate had dictated, this was not the case here. For those oh so brief moments, his actions had faded into the background and given center stage to his words. Eyes glimmering as she regarded him carefully, gaze searching for any sign that he might actually be jesting, she paused before answering, finding none where she searched. "The life I lead now, is not that which I would have chosen for myself." She admonished softly, shaking her head as a few errant strands of her hair rearranged themselves about her shoulders. "My opinion matters little to those who make claim to me. In fact, it does not matter at all. But in answer to your question...I am intrigued that you would have to ask."A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth when she felt his touch, followed by a feather light kiss that left her wanting for more - it only served to further make up her mind, but not before she had luxuriated in that decadent moment, kissing him back lightly, not yet fully committing to the motion to keep him every bit as tempted as she was. "Just in case you were still curious, that would be with you." She added silkily a moment or two later, holding his gaze unwaveringly, despite the electric excitement coursing through her mind right now. How would they do this? He wanted to know what it would take for 'severance' from her agreement, so to speak, and she knew that that may not be something her master would agree to without a fight so to speak. In an out and out physical fight, he wouldn't have stood a chance, that wasn't his thing, but he was a man with a very long reach so to speak. That would be problematic and while a couple of million credits would get them far, it would run out a little too soon. They'd need to keep on the move, which seemed to be fine by him. "In regards to what you would be required to do to break my conscription..." She let out a barely audible sigh, breaking his gaze for mere seconds before looking back up "...you can't...but I can. If you are serious about this, I mean, we plan, we go and we don't look back. Funds are not a problem regardless of what you have now, leave that to me."She had to be crazy, her mind whirled with the prospect, and yet she had never felt more alive...this could work. He raised an eyebrow as she spoke, her enthusiasm for the idea growing as she put more and more thought into it. And when she told him that 'Funds are not a problem', he simply grinned at her. He silently congratulated himself, he'd truly found a kindred spirit in her. He began to imagine the fun, the Chaos they might enjoy, and he thought to himself, What a day!Well then, it seems you need little prodding from me... he leaned in and kissed her fully, passionately. Then just as fast he pulled back, and left the room. He was positively starving. Come dearest... he called as he went into the kitchen area. Let's regain our strength, then maybe have another go around?/color] he said teasingly. And after that, lets make those plans....

It was something she had taken upon herself to do from the beginning, actually taking the time away from her work to walk amongst those who undertook the bulk of the physical labour. Speak to the foreman in charge or operations, learn about the various tasks undertaken at all levels of the ship building process. If she wished to be in the know, then she would also know when someone was lying to her about something. It pleased the staff to know she didn't consider it beneath herself to learn or know about these things, as well as made her approachable on a number of matters. Good relations were key to keeping the lines of communication open and she had always considered the well being and general happiness of the workforce as being essential to attaining some sense of loyalty and mutual respect.
"Where else would I be but here? I needed to see this with my own eyes."
Her rather wry smile remained just that when she heard Tress cite that as if on cue, and she felt a small chuckle bubble up from her throat at the notion, turning to Klask with that same wry expression she cast a hand gesture out in Tress' direction aimiably.
"And with praise like that, who needs advertising?"
The joke there being that it pretty much was their advertising slogan of late, and in knowing that she also knew Tress was utilizing that as a subtle means of poking fun at her while she went about her business. Words would be had later, no doubt, but since it was all in good humour, she never once felt any real annoyance at what he'd said, she'd have taken the opportunity to do just as he had, had she been standing in his place.
But on the matter of the impending imperial visitation, the pair of them seemed more than willing.
That had been her initial line of thinking, but as she had considered it some more, turning the idea this way and that in her mind, she couldn't allow anything to be left to chance. If anything, the offer of the added security in addition to the regent's own guard, would perhaps be a welcomed sentiment.
"No doubt he will have everything covered, but for peace of mind alone I would at least extend the offer. While the one who caused this fiasco may well be safely contained, there are still those out there who could come looking for their missing comrade. I would rather not take that chance."
A follow up attack was unlikely, especially with the presence of the imperial ships that would be in orbit, but Dooku's attack had hardly been calculated or methodical in any sense of the word...what was she to expect from the rest of his order? No, on this she was quite happy to constitute the extra measures, if there was any backlash she could just as easily take the brunt of that quarrel.
Tress' timely reminder did draw out an immense ammount of inward amusement, though that sentence had very much been a double edged sword, so the look that she afforded him said it all - is that so?
But as he'd so astutely put it, the time for talk here was at an end, they needed to prepare for this visit and that was what they would do.
"If you'll excuse us Colonel, we have much to attend to, as I am sure you do also. I'll see to it that the matters we discussed are dealt with as fairly as possible." No, she hadn't forgotten the small matter of him contacting the imperials when he had, but how the next few days went would decide just how this matter was dealt with - his intentions had been good, from what she could see, they certainly made sense, but it couldn't go unchecked.
Turning back towards Tress, she lead the way back out of the main hangarbay, keeping up that pretense of official business between the two of them, which wasn't too far removed from the truth, well until they were out of sight and earshot of anyone who tied too closely to the immediate situation. They would never be entirely safe of prying eyes and ears, she knew, would have been a fool to think otherwise, but that didn't mean she could try and avoid such things.
"What did your 'associate' surmise? How many will it take to best sever the link between that ship and it's master?" Keeping her voice hushed still as they made their way through the various system of almost deserted pedwalks and platforms. The areas wouldn't be open to the public and some crew until the clean up was complete. "Has he been in touch with Arri at all?"
She was getting to that, or would do, and when she did, she would have some very pointed questions indeed.

"And with praise like that, who needs advertising?" Who indeed? It was approved with a kuati thumb no less, must be excellent. All kidding aside, KDY was very keen on keeping their product quality control up there. They were a strong and diverse company and had every right to be proud of their achievements. Even he was impressed and that said something. "No doubt he will have everything covered, but for peace of mind alone I would at least extend the offer. While the one who caused this fiasco may well be safely contained, there are still those out there who could come looking for their missing comrade. I would rather not take that chance."
.To that he would have said something if there wasn't others present. Even advising would have been bad in his eyes. If he remembered later he would offer his suggestions on how to keep things running smoothly. It was still up to her and her other advisor's ultimately.
"If you'll excuse us Colonel, we have much to attend to, as I am sure you do also. I'll see to it that the matters we discussed are dealt with as fairly as possible." Guess they were done here, with a nod at the Colonel he follows Khari as she walks off. Always keeping to the back of her as a telbun would and silent. It would put her off or send her asking what was wrong with him. Either way it would work in his favor, besides he had something he wanted to do. Reaching in his pocket he activates something and leaves it on for a few seconds on high then shuts it off. There had been a ringing in his ear and rubs it as he walked on.
Once far enough away and moderately alone he answers. "He said he knew of them and that they would be more effective in a group to cover the length of the ship. Although he didn't know how the connection worked but if it was force based it would do the job." The other question he had no idea he didn't ask. "I didn't ask. He and Siara are close by though...has Arri gone missing?"

Corey does not look over at the Grand Admiral, but his mind wondered if he could trust him or not. He thought and a voice started to answer him, he looks around an only the Grand Admiral was there. Still thinking to himself.
(What if the RGE is in on it? (He is part of this lie) If I tell him, will he try to help me or keep me locked up to get Selena to himself? (They all out to get you and your ship, to keep you both apart. Can you feel her now?)
Corey answers outloud
"No, they are blocking our connection."
Voice "I told you, they are trying to keep you both apart."
Corey eyes closed as he tried harder through the force to connect with Selena, but nothing. The voice made it harder to focus on his ship. He had to tell him to a point on what happened.
"Grand Admiral, I contacted Lady Khari about having half of my fleet to come here to make repairs. She allowed me to land to talk business, she placed someone to tend tome while she had other things to worry about. But the one she placed in charge of me, well lets just say she had placed a hitman to follow me around."
He takes a breath
"Well i sent for my Genin, I mean my student and once he got to KDY. He was attacked, I rush to aid him to stop the fight. To my knowledge they were force users, and one decided to attack me. Well it did get a little out of hand, but I was not even using full force. The arrested me and my Genin, which I gave up without a fight. I could have with ease destroy them with a thought, but I wanted to know why others attacked my Genin."
Open his eyes and looks over at the Grand Admiral
"I had someone get me the recording of the event, but I only had one left. The other was destroyed by KDF when they came and once again attacked me. So, as you see I am getting a little tired of average people thinking they can attack me and get away with it. The last recording is still hooked to my belt, but I only hope its still good from the carbonite."
Corey wished he could destroy this machine, and everyone back on KDY. The voices came back as Corey was thinking he made a mistake in telling the Grand Admiral his side of the story.
----------------------------------------------------
Mean while Vice Admiral Thorne being patched through several channels his message finally hits the bridge of Astrocity. Vice Admiral Thorne was not told where or what ship the Grand Admiral was on, just his message was patched through.
A image appears on the bridge and Vice Admiral Thorne standing at attention. He salutes as if he thought it was the Grand Admiral Tuulk. He does not move or look around he lowered his hand and began to speak.
"This is Vice Admiral Thorne on SSD God's Hand, the flagship of the Grey Jedi Order. I am calling hoping to find out if Kage Dooku made it to there to see if the RGE was going to still be allies. The reason I called was that Kage Dooku and his living ship are missing. I was hoping that you might have seen him."
Thorne waits for the reply since it took so long for his to get to the Gran Admiral.

The Colonel nods agreement with her assessment. "I thank you for the honor and opportunity... Senator, I do hope this has not put a damper on your views of Kuati hospitality. Enjoy your stay here, and I hope to have a chance to visit with you before you leave, if your schedule permits."
The Colonel nods a respectful bow to Lady Vestra and the Senator as they depart.
After the two of them wander off on the rest of their tour of the devastation, the Colonel signals to his men to re-board the transport and they head to the next destination... to take a first hand look at this ship.
After a moment of consideration, he briskly walks over to Khari and Tress.
"I pardon the interruption, I was just about to head over to take a look at one of the remaining questions... the ship. Would you care to accompany me?"

Stretching lithely, she had rather got used to being settled where she was for the time being, not seeing a rush to get things dealt with immediately, it wasn't as if they were expecting anyone, and that fortune she could tap into at any given moment wasn't going anywhere. Of course, that was if she could seriously go through with this...she had seen what had happened to Lady Vestra's telbun as a direct result of his attempting to manipulate her. This was slightly different, but few people took on those as influential and wealthy as a member of the ten and came out the other side intact. The Kuati justice system was as harsh and cutthroat as it it's political state of affairs, things of this nature would be taken with the utmost swift decisiveness.
But as his lips claimed her's possessively, passionately, she couldn't have cared less about the potential risk to her life, if she was going to start living, she might as well live each day to the full, and that meant doing one thing every day that was risky - or exciting, she thought, depending on which way one looked at it. Happy to linger in the miasma of passionate power rising, she gave in to this indulgent moment of pleasure and returned with as much intensity.
When Zanear stepped away, however, vanishing into the room beyond, she was all curiosity....and there, soon after, was her answer. Following his path with an appreciative eye, she pulled herself from her resting place, rearranging her hair into a less tangled and disheavaled mess while she contemplated. Yes, she was hungry too, she had scarcely eaten that day, what with all the chaos and then...well, something much more pleasant.
"Now that sounds like a plan I could truly throw myself into."
She followed him into the kitchen area, paying little mind to the pile of discarded clothing she skipped over light on her feet. There was doubtless food in the place, Khari had been spending a lot of time here of late and would have supplies in for almost every eventuality, being her meant if there was something you wanted you just had to say the word and someone could get it for you...or in this case, for them.
Standing back to admire his form for a moment or two, there was something rather elegantly appealing about the way he moved, every little action, however idle it could have been, was almost hypnotic. Walking up behind him, she slid her arms loosely about his waist and tried to peer over his shoulder at the contents of the kitchen storage, nothing immediately catching her fancy...aside from the obvious.
"If there isn't anything to your taste we can order out, you'd be surprised how fast things arrive when you mention an address from this sector."
Giving him room to manouver, she went searching on her own volition, finding a few possibilities, she wasn't certain if a person of Zanear's species had any particular dietry requirements - though she did trust him to say if she picked out anything deadly. The truth was, her mind was on a few other things, namely how they would pull this off, she was fairly trusted as it was, had never divulged any information that should not be spoken outside the correct walls, had given few reason to mistrust her in general. But this was going to be difficult.
"You know..." Arri began as she picked up another few items to give them a brief once over, "...you never did say where you had originally intended to go. If not Kuat, where were you bound for?" Would that be their first port of call...she could think of a million places she wanted to see, the prospect of actually doing it left her with stars in her eyes.
As long as they did this right, it could only mean good things.

They had walked a short distance when Khari noticed Tress slow his pace until he was out of stride with her, dropping back until he was that rather familar distance behind. Familiar because that was exactly what another had done one upon a time, and perculiar because this was Tress and Tress didn't do things like that when the ruse they were upholding was no longer that much of a ruse...for the most part anyway.
Slowing her own walking pace, she eventually paused with the intention of Tress never anticipating it and returning to just where he had been beside her in a couple of measured steps. Having been about to ask what he was up to back there, she got her answer all of a split second later. The initial surprise was seen in her expression for a fraction of a heartbeat, the instant she locked gazes with Tress in warning, but that wouldn't do any good. Posture stiffened she exhaled sharply with an almost silent effort, remaining relatively still as the seconds passed, him looking on as if this was the most normal thing in the galaxy.
All the while he stood there as if silently questioning what was the matter with her, before she decided she couldn't take that anymore and spun to face him, only for him to relent and divert her attention. Typical...she wouldn't forget that either.
Khari gathered as much of her composure as she could muster, relaxing a little in the wake of that little exchange between them "Well the more of them the better, correct? I'm sure it wouldn't be too costly to keep some of the creatures there, just long enough so that a team of researchers were able to glean what they could in order to continue their work...which presumably you would have the facilities for?"
On the latter count her mood soured inevitably - no, Arri was not missing, though she hadn't had an update or memo from the girl in almost a day. Where she was, was anyones guess, but she never seemed to stray too far from her betters. Now, in light of her being charged with the care of this Falleen...whoever he was, just added a most perplexing twist to everything. Khari couldn't make head nor tail of it, but she was going to find out eventually.
"Missing, no. In over her head? Quite possibly. Tell me, did your 'senatorial aides' bring with them another security operative, namely a falleen?" There was little point in asking, Khari already knew the answer and she would have trusted Tress to inform her of anyone else in this mess before she had dared broach the subject with anyone else.
"The plot thickens, it seems."
It was the sound of brisk footfalls at her back that captured her attention, peering past Tress' right shoulder to see Colonel Klask hurrying over to catch up with them. Had she forgotten something?
Ah yes...she had wondered when that particular asset would become secure enough to view. They would be able to fit it in, if only just and it was a point of great interest.
With a rather wry slide of a glance at Tress, she focussed her attention upon the older man, the slight rise and then drop of her head in the singular perhaps the first positive acknowledgement he'd receievd from her yet.
"It has been made secure then?" She asked, canting her head slightly to the side, then straightening, somehow, she hadn't thought it would have been deemed 'safe' so soon. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to take a look now. I have time."
She had rather hoped for a small ammount of downtime to prepare for the imperial visit, refresh herself a little if nothing else. But this was one thing she couldn't refuse, she was as curious as her research team, this...would not wait.
"What say you, Senator? Will you join us?"

"Could be i have a secret facility placed here or there." He tells her with a grin. Just which one he had an ideal location for the researchers. "Get your team together and I'll give them the location. After we locate some of those things we need." Urai was on that one, he was looking around for them and would call back when they were on there way. "Missing, no. In over her head? Quite possibly. Tell me, did your 'senatorial aides' bring with them another security operative, namely a falleen?"
A falleen? Here? That spelled trouble, it was rare to find one off of their homeworld. Wonder what that was about. "No, i would have told you...." "The plot thickens, it seems." That it did, would ask Urai the next time he calls about noticing any Falleen in the area. He would know more about one if they had a tendency to cause problems. For the mean time it was something he could only speculate about. He stays quiet as he hears the news of the ship from the Colonel. What ship was he talking about? Then it came to him, it was the living ship. Damn how would they get it now, he waited for khari to lead the way. He had to appear as being there for the the RGE negotiations and not there for khari herself. "What say you, Senator? Will you join us?"
Not knowing if he should act like he didn't know what they were talking about or not, he had to make sure. The Colonel would either take it as asking for specifics or him hiding the fact he already knew of the living ship. Unless he had viewed the holorecording from earlier he wouldn't know he had been there to see it before. Either way it was better to act like he didn't know what ship they were talking about. "Join you where, Lady Vestra?"
He looks from one to the other playing his part.

"If there isn't anything to your taste we can order out, you'd be surprised how fast things arrive when you mention an address from this sector." He shook his head in the negative. Nothing any different then you my dear, however I do prefer the finer tastes.... he began to pick through the food with an experienced eye, pulling out only the most exotic and expensive of items. Deftly he built his plate, placing the items properly and without so much as a spill. His plate looked as if more a work of art then dinner, and when he placed it upon the table, he gathered all the utensils necessary for a State dinner, placing a setting for him and her quick as the eye could see. "You know..." Arri began as she picked up another few items to give them a brief once over, "...you never did say where you had originally intended to go. If not Kuat, where were you bound for?" Running a clawed finger along her jawline, he kissed her again, briefly, then sat himself. Well, I had left Coruscant because it had become so boring, he spoke to her matter of fact. Truth be told, I just like to wander, to see what's out there. I think the ships destination was for Corelliea or some such, a Core world, but it just so happened to be thrown off course. He shrugged at the story, he didn't find it all that interesting. I'm more of a here and now kind of man...look where it lead me. He smiled at her, his perfect teeth gleaming in the amber light. Perfectly, he began to eat his meal, not spilling a drop of his drink, nor losing a morsel of his food. He used all the right utensils, a perfect speciman of nobility. He watched Arri the whole time, curious to hear her next words.

Tuulk listens to the Kage carefully, what he says sounds to be honest but the Grand Admiral doesn't know if he can trust the Kage, he speaks of proof of innocence and that's when Tuulk order the droid in the cell to retrieve the proof from the Kage and seeks to review it personally. "I can assure you Kage, if thing are as you say they are then I will do anything I can to see you released. As of now I feel I can release you from your restraints but if that feeling proves to be wrong I will have you contained again. I will require you to stay here in the cell for the time being but I assure you I will work fast to see if the information you have given is true." At that moment, Tuulk gets word from Ensign Ricky that not only is there a Grey flagship in orbit wishing to speak to him but that the rest of Shadow Fleet has just arrived and that there is a priority message from the Captain of the Cixelsyd. Tuulk orders the Kage released from his restraints before bowing his head slightly to the Kage. "Forgive me Kage but my presence is needed back on the bridge; I'll see to it that you and your Genin are treated well in the mean time. Feel free to place a foodstuffs order from the droid." ****************************************** Chiss Star Destroyer - 3 - Cixelsyd - Demon - Ravager Armament: Light turbolasers Heavy turbolasers Light megamasers Heavy megamasers Tractor beam projectors Other Systems: Advanced Cloaking Device Complement: 1 squadron Nssis-class Clawcraft -auto compliment 1 squadron AirStraekers -auto compliment Gladiator-class Star Destroyers - 4 - Defiant - Judicator - Dark Star II - Warhammer Armament: Light turbolaser batteries Point-defense laser cannon batteries Torpedo or medium concussion missile launchers Medium concussion missiles Tractor beam batteries Complement: 2 squadron TIE/Intercepters (auto-compliment) Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser- Firestarter Armament: Light quad turbolaser cannons Turbolaser batteries Siezmic Charge Warhead launcher Other Systems: Advanced sensor equipment Complement: 1 Squadron TIE/Bombers - auto compliment The space over Kuat becomes a little more crowded as Shadow Fleet comes out of hyperspace into orbit over the planet. Hooking up with its flagship via Imperial relays, Shadow Fleet begins to take on the data from the Atrocity and learning what is going on in system. Within minutes of leaving the Kage's cell, the Grand Admiral is back on the bridge and looking out on the black hulls of Shadow Fleet as he walks closer to the viewport and smiles as their lights twinkle like stars in the ever expanding darkness of space. Tuulk stops at his chair and takes a seat. There he see's a message from the Grey flagship's Admiral Thorne and from Capt. Saz'kaci of the Cixelsyd. Listening to the playback of the holo Thorne sent Tuulk and sends one of his own. "I'm sorry to be the barer of bad news Admiral but I cannot speak on the matters of formally becoming allies." Tuulk says with all seriousness in his voice. "I can take your request to the High Command but the decision to create an alliance is ultimately up to the Emperor. I hope you understand." As he talks to Thorne, Tuulk reads the message from Saz'kaci and learns that he is to go to Kamino at the request of Lord Ire and that Shadow Fleet be tasked to take over protecting the damaged shipyards until their presence is no longer needed. Tuulk then realizes that this is an awkward situation; how is Thorne going to take it when the Atrocity leaves with the Kage in their custody. Looking back to the holo of Admiral Thorne, Tuulk continues to address him. "I also hate to tell you that the Atrocity has been called away to assist elsewhere. As I am heading this investigation, I must insist that the Kage comes with us. Let me assure you we are looking into his claims with all seriousness and if he is found to be an innocent bystander forced into a situation beyond his control I will see to it he is released personally." Muting the comline long enough to give the Navigation officer the order to begin plotting a course for Kamino, Tuulk sits and waits for Thorne to respond.

The Colonel watches the exchange between the two of them, his face its usual stoic mask, not betraying his own thoughts to this. Khari's facial reactions seem slightly off, the Colonel wonders if she has in the few moments he was away from them if she had contacted her wayward assistant. He nods as she asks about the security.
I won't weigh you down with the details, but if that ship so much as twitches it will be subject to enough ion energy to take out a frigate. It is a trick I developed years ago in imperial service... Brutally effective in asset denial. As for the security of the area, The tech teams I assigned are from our secure KSF personnel, and two heavy units are keeping them and the area under lock-down. It is secure as I can make it.
The Senator's slight pause in reaction and then his "innocent" questioning of Khari earns Tress a single raised eyebrow. It is a blatant tip of his hand to what he knows, but it has been clear that both of them have a serious interest in this ship since he viewed the security tapes what now seems like ages ago...
The Colonel says nothing to the Senator, nor makes any other facial tell. Leaving it at the momentarily questioning look of the raised eyebrow. If Tress is concerned about other eyes and ears he will not ruin his game with anything more direct.
"My transport is ready, and there is plenty of room." He gestures politely to said conveyance.

Thorne gets his message back from Grand Admiral Tuulk, he lower his head looking at Tuulk’s image. He places on hand on his head as he thinks about mess that Kage Dooku got into. He also thinks that it would be bad business to start anything with half a fleet and the others either destroyed or unknown. He sits back in his chair.
“Hmm, well Grand Admiral Tuulk. I understand your position, but please understand mine. What happens if he is found guilty? Will we be allowed to have someone that is neutral to assist him if he does have a trial?”
Thorne sits back and thinks of just the person that could stand by the Kage, but he has to see she would or will do it. He leans forward one last time.
“Grand Admiral, please let us know what you completed with your investigation. I will wait for your reply on the matter, I will not hold you from your duties. I will go see about having someone ready if need be to represent him if it goes to a trail. So until then.”
He stands and salutes as his image fades. He turns and order the ship to head Yavin 4.

Doing likewise, filling the plate she had set out with anything that took her fancy at that point in time, she was delighted to see he'd already set a place for them both, and in record time for everything to be quite that neat - Which was somewhat ironic when you saw the state of the adjoining room.
"Then that is another thing we share, I do have a taste for the uhh, exotic shall we say?"
Making her way over to the table, she set her plate down and allowed Zanear to be the gentleman by pulling out her seat for her, placing the ridiculously ornate linen in her lap thereafter. It would have been quite the sight, she surmised, had anyone walked in on this little display here. Arri almost loosed a giggle at that thought, it seemed every bit as naughtily amusing as she considering it. Scooting in as he pushed the chair in for her, her gaze had been down cast until the tell tale prickle of a claw tipped finger ran along the length of her jawline ever so lightly, causing her to gaze up into his hypnotic violet eyes, the kiss that they shared all too brief but nonetheless sent her pulse racing, hot streaks of reminiscent need curling up her spine.
She studied him with an educated eye, if it was one thing people of her 'profession' were, it was educated. He was a curious specimen to say the least, carefree and yet well poised the entire time, the only time she had evidently clearly felt him lose control had been earlier...and that had been highly delightful putting it mildly.
Picking up her own utensils, she began to eat when he had settled, ravenous herself after the long hours spent in passionate tryst, the food would allow them both chance to recouperate, recover their strength and sharpness of witt with which to plot this little getaway of theirs as it were. With equal measures acute manners and poise of her own, she listened to his explaination, of how he had found himself where he was now, where he had been intending to go.
"I have been to Coruscant, twice, maybe three occasions, but as you say, once you get past the vaneer, there is little more to do there than say on any of the core worlds. I suppose I found it a little boring myself, but then my being there was less of my own choosing, more of a duty bound thing."
There wasn't much to tell that he would have found interesting, when she said duty-bound, it was quite literally that. She trailed behind her master at a respectful distance, did as he asked, carried, fetched things, paid for others...all in relative silence. Life were about to get interesting though, inevitably.
"A here and now man? That is one fact I couldn't fail to notice." She purred quite contentedly, "I like that, impromptu action calls for a sharp mind and you have that in abundance. It also calls for suggestive subterfuge, which you pull off flawlessly." There was much to admire, so why should she not do so openly, he had done so with her and it was only fair that she speak her mind just as freely. It could do little harm.
Holding his gaze for a moment longer, she glanced back down at the contents of her plate, pensive in her motions.
"I ponder just how we intend to leave this place unnoticed. I am certain there is a way around everything but any identification I carry with me would be legitimate." This would be a problem, one she didn't want to have to worry about...not with other activities on the cards anyway, but her master was highly unlikely to just let her go, not when he had paid such a high price for her in the first place. And certainly not when she carried with her the wealth of classified knowledge she did. He need not have worried about that, Arri thought, what she knew she would remain with her and no other. Not if she could help it. It wouldn't have been of interest to Zanear anyway...Kuati business was often only useful to they and their competitors, of which Zanear most clearly was not.
Taking another bite to eat, she waited until she was done to utter anything else, waving off her earlier comment with a simple hand gesture as if it were nothing...everything would work out, she was not quite sure how just yet, but he wasn't the only one who could work improvisation.
But there was something else she had been curious about.
"Tell me," she asked, steepling her fingers to cradle her chin as she leaned in, elbows before the half empty dish, "Just where do you see this going,?" She was all for doing things on a whim, it was a whim that had seen here here to begin with but she didn't want to be left high and dry on some strange world. While she considered the probability unlikely, this was a huge risk she was taking...one she wanted to take.

That was going to look a tad suspicious, but it was her own fault, she should have thought of this before coming here, in the ploava it had taken to actually get to this point it stood to reason she'd leave something to chance. But what were the chances? Still, she could always put it down to his 'bad memory'. Deciding against that highly suspicion-creating tactic, she merely frowned at him as if confused by his answer, eyes shifting their line of sight to the waiting Colonel and then back to Tress.
"Forgive me, I should have informed you earlier, the ship we took that stroll to see before our joruney? It has been recovered and impounded."
Even Khari could appreciate the effectiveness of imperial technique, with or without the notion of double entendre - her thoughts veered more towards weather or not the ion bursts would be enough to be effective, it was not your average ship.
"Would such a measure 'subdue' the ship in question, as the Kage himself seemed all too ready to point out, it is a living entitiy all of it's own. He went so far as to say that we should not lay a hand on it's hull for fear of 'upsetting her.'" The dainty chuckle she issued thereafter was out of how proposterous the idea seemed to her, that a ship, living components or not, would actually be capable of emotions.
"I would not dream of suggesting I know better than you on matters of security, but this is no ordinary ship we have in our custody. I took the liberty of looking into the means required to design and engineer such ships some years ago now, and at that time I was given to believe that such things were only available to those who possessed a connection to the force in some advanced capacity. I was informed by an independent researcher, that this was essential to the process of 'bonding' with the craft, so that pilot and vessel could communicate with one another."
There was little that was imperious about her tone, she truly did not know how much the Colonel did or did not know about what they had here, assuming that he would be used to the usual cadre of mechanized wonders that passed through the Kuat system in general, they had never, in all their years had the opportunity to see one of these ships close up and fully operational. Understandably, Selena's presence here would be kept from both public and investors eyes - the repercussions of the Yuuzhan Vong war had been severe and therefore it wouldn't bode well if they were to openly admit to keeping ahold something, which of all intents and purposes, appeared to be a Vong craft. Doing so would be madness and could well spark uproar among the uneducated masses.
There was still that small matter of dealing with Arri, but security was tight enough now with the effective lockdown, that the aide wouldn't be able to go far unchecked, she'd put out a call to her at some point along the way, see if she couldn't make some sense out of all of this in the meantime.
With a small nod to Tress, she followed on from Klask towards the waiting transport, a head full of curiosity, it would be good to get a closer look at their latest acquisition.
"Of course, no time like the present."

"Forgive me, I should have informed you earlier, the ship we took that stroll to see before our journey? It has been recovered and impounded." "Oh, i thought it had left and was in one of those Star Destroyers that had been causing trouble." It was a reasonable guess he supposed. Could have been anything in that hanger and confiscated. There would be no reason for anyone to think he knew what they were talking about. He put it out of his thoughts, for nothing could be proved really. All evidence was or had been taken care of and any holorecording would just show him patting the hull of the living ship. He had seen hundreds of pilots do the same to their own ships for one reason or another. He directed his thoughts to what the Colonel was saying, ION energy? He didn't know if it would work on a living ship, but as though they were a blend of mechanical and biological components it might stall him or shut down half its systems he guessed. Then hearing what she had said he found himself nodding along with what she was saying. Stood to reason she would know more of them as she did just say and had told him much earlier that she had been looking into such vessels for awhile now. It would be fun to read the reports of the tests they would be able to run. With a small nod to Tress, she followed on from Klask towards the waiting transport, a head full of curiosity, it would be good to get a closer look at their latest acquisition. "Of course, no time like the present." "Yes, another close look with out the Kage around to warn us off would be educational.....lead the way." He says as he follows her. Rubbing his ear again he reaches in his pocket to adjust the remote.
