Corey gets up and dress down to his shorts and a tank top. He felt confine to his guess quarters, he was glad that Khari offered him a place to stay until his fleet arrived and to wait for the engineers to see how long it will take to repair the ships. He knows that they told him to stay in the room but he needed to train. The door opens an one guard was standing outside.
“Sir, how may I help you?”
Corey smiles and looks down the hall
“Sorry, but I need to run. I want to stay in shape, so if you like you can run with me if you wish.”
On that note Corey took off and started to run down the hall as the security force took off trying to keep up with him, he hit the comlink informing his command that Kage Dooku was off on a run and he needed some to keep up with him.
As Corey was running he used the force to open himself up and was searching the station, keeping up his training in the force. As he ran two security in workout clothes took off behind him keeping up with him while he ran. One hour later back at his room he stops and looks behind him as the two guards make it to his quarters.
“Im sorry for such a long run, but tell your Command to meet me in the hanger bay so he can see Selena up close. I figure my ships should be here in the morning.”
The first guard returned, taken his place at the door as Corey entered to take a shower. He finished up and the security escorted him back to Selena as the Commander was waiting on him. They entered and Corey began to explain how she was made and how the two of them are connected. Selena was apart of him as much as he was to her. She was able to fly for herself if something happen to him. The commander sat down in the chair as Selena vines first touched his skin then pulled back. The commander jumped at first as Corey laughs some.
“Hey don’t worry, it happen to me the first time. She was seeing who you was and then she pulled back since she did not sense you.’
Commander looked at Corey with a question in mind
“Yes, see knows if you are Force Sensitive.”
Commander looks up wondering how he knows what he was thinking but Corey kept it to himself. After they finished Corey and the Commander exits the ship, the Commander thank him for showing him his ship. At the end of the ramp a figure was waiting for them.

"And you do it so well, careful though...too much idleness leads to lassitude and I'd hate for you to get too comfortable."
The slap of a gauntlet would have been equally as surprising in this little challenge they had set for each other. With one always trying to top the other. He had something in the works, the planning stages that would set the bar very high....and then some. Though all she had for an answer was his slight challenging smile playing on his lips.
"Although I am woefully without those stun cuffs today...hmm, a pity."
Oh, no not those again...never again. If she ever did that to him again, there would be lots of trouble for her. Though she would probably like it....that wasn't good. He should show her how those restraints should really be put to use. "Its a shame really...could have used them to pass the time."
"You might have something there...and yes, revealing who you truly are could have something of a negative impact on my status here, but if your attempts to garner RGE interest are successful...." the rest went without saying, if this was a success, then the rest would come in due course. It could only mean good things for Kuat.
The Empire and Kuat had a long history together, they each prospered in some way. He wanted that for the RGE, it was his job to lift them higher both economically and militarily, both would be served if he could do it. Thats not to mention his own interests would be served, too. It would give him more time with Khari..which was always good. All he had to do is ask, the Emperor. "I will send a coded message soon to see if we can work something out beneficial to both sides."
"Not just a pretty face, I like the way your mind works."
He gets closer and whispers, "Only my mind....?"

Having been alerted to the fact she was to meet this Kage Dooku, and deal with the formalities of the repairs and upgrades he was here to have installed on his fleet, Arri waited patiently at the foot of the landing ramp to the living ship that the security chief for this hanger bay had directed her to. Not entirely living, the vessel had many technological parts, none of which were recognizable to her eyes, but then this wasn't your standard installation. She had to wonder how the engineers and technicians were going to take to such a task, if they would encounter new issues when upgrading it's systems.
But that is for them to worry about, she concluded, the sound of movement at the top of the ramp drawing her attention ascending.
In the open hatchway, she could see two figures, both of them male, standing in conversation with one another, until one - the more off world looking one of the two - turned his attention her way. Offering him an engraciating smile, she waited patiently, but offered them a greeting no less.
"Greetings, you must be Kage Dooku...I am Arri, Lady Vestra sends her apologies for not being able to be here in person at present, but any questions you have I can answer in her stead."
This was true enough, she had worked among the ruling households as a go between for some time now, she knew precisely how things worked around here, and she was trustworthy. A trait that seemed to be highly lacking in many of the ten's attributes, the cutthroat world of Kuati business and politics crossed lines on so many plains of dimension, it didn't bear thinking about.
"I must say, this ship is impressive, though you may have to explain some of this away to our engineers, this isn't something we are accustomed to."
"Its a shame really...could have used them to pass the time."
Khari shook her head slightly, then added to that, "Wrong, it's a shame because I couldn't use it to pass your time."
She enjoyed challenging him, it made things go far more interesting that way, not least of all because he found some pretty devious ways to get her back at unexpected times. Which was all fine with her, it kept everyone on their toes after all.
"I will send a coded message soon to see if we can work something out beneficial to both sides."
Nodding sagely, she supposed she would have to consider the empire more thoroughly, the relationship had been somewhat strained since the days of Palpatine, or rather, Kuat of Kuat's abject defiance of both Palpatine and the Rebel Alliance, and since the Yuuzhan Vong war, things had taken their toll on KDY. But this could be a new era, a new beginning in which she could claw back much of what they had lost. It took more than the Shesh's to ruin their reputation completely after all.
"Excelent, and I will do my part, put some feelers out and see if I can't work out a niche that our main competitiors have overlooked, it shouldn't be too hard to discover one, despite the collaboration fiasco during the last war, we still produced more for the war effort than most other worlds were able. We are still far more innovative than many."
And then he leaned closer, and she found herself drinking in his heady scent, her mind wandering yet again and that familiar flutter inside returning. Arri was down at the docks, taking care of matters, she had time...she needed the time. Especially after what she had just done.
"Only my mind....?"
A smirk spread her lips wide, that glimmer in her eyes was raw temptation - oh she had a response in mind, it was just a matter of weather she wished to utter it in full or keep him guessing. This was fun.
"Mmm...no, your mind amongst other things...maybe i'll tell you one day?" She purred rather aloof in her nature, smile stil fixed firmly in place. "Maybe you'll just have to wonder, or maybe..." She leaned in now, until their lips were almost touching, her breath falling in hot exhalations against his own, "...Maybe i'll show you what it is I like?"
Slowly she leaned back, watching the expectantly devious look on his face change then, taking a great deal of delight in it too. Such were the games they played. Elegantly, she reached forth to take the drink from him that he had made for her, swirling the amber liquid around in the glass in that relaxed manner she used to the detriment of others - she was far from relaxed, but it served as a good ruse. - then took a sip and savoured it with visible pleasure.
"Or, I could do what you assume we Kuati seem to do a lot, and work, work, work. No rest for the wicked after all."

He made a rude noise sounding like something out of a back end of a ronto, at her challenge. Though he did keep the laughter in his eyes, letting her know he looked forward to getting her back later. When she leaned forward her lips so close he felt her breath against his lips, he smiled wanting to kiss her. Though this was the game between them, tempt, tease and then take...the results were more explosive in the end.
"Or, I could do what you assume we Kuati seem to do a lot, and work, work, work. No rest for the wicked after all."
When she moved back and toyed with her drink, he knew he would have to get her back for that latter. Just to give her what she wanted, what he wanted for that matter. He even had something in mind, though this wasn't the time for it.
On her subject about relations between the RGE and KDY, he nodded. He would have to get together with her at some point and see what she was willing to offer. It wouldn't do to start speaking for her on this matter. He did want both sides to gain something, it wasn't just a one sided deal, though he would try to get her the best outcome. "We should talk about what you want out of the deal. This diplomatic or economic agreement between our governments. Something fair to both sides...." He wanted her side first to help her gain alittle advantage on things.

She considered that for a moment, but the answer was always never far from her mind. She had known from the outset that if something like this were to occur, she would need to have the edge on everything before it all came to be, that way she could keep a clear head. Which was something that was becoming incresinly difficult if he kept looking at her like that.
"Key to everything is non exclusivity, the other rulling families will never agree to any move if it means that KDY will be forced into catering exclusively for the empire. It caused a former CEO to try and blow up the premises we now sit in, rather than let it fall to others to govern it's rights. Independency has always been closest to Kuati hearts and minds." She explained, keeping a strict control in the way she had uttered this, firmly but fairly.
"While ultimately an alliance would mean that the empire governed many aspects of the political side of things here on Kuat, I would wish to know just how far their powers would extend when it came to how things at KDY are run. Though it may not seem like it, the two aspects of Kuati life go hand in hand...and I am certain the pros outweigh the cons where the empire is concerned. At least in their eyes, they have always wanted a hand in things here, I would like it to be known that they couldn't just get their own way."
That was the thing about Kuati, control. Every aspect of their lives was based on just how much they could control, be it person, lifestyle or other, everything retained it's usefulness when it came down to this underpinning factor. Knowledge was power and through power came control. Khari was no different.
"Of course the empire would get presidence when it came to their needs regarding KDY...times of war and so forth, the shipbuilding contracts would go all in their favour. We would, obviously, shun enemy interest if that were the case."
Her gaze watched his for a moment, silently trying to read him, everything about his body language was relaxed, and why shouldn't it have been? But there was something beneath the surface, and she wasn't certain it had to do with this conversation. He had looked that way ever since she had drawn away to sip gentilely at her drink, which she now took one last sip from before placing the glass down on the transparent table with a slight clatter.
"Alright..." She added softly, leaning back against the couch again, "...what are you devising? And don't try telling me you're not."

So basically they wanted freedom, the exclusivity they wanted to be able to set up contracts with others for their own profit. That wasn't hard to understand, but it was another matter to RGE. He didn't know how they would react to that sort of thing. He was ask and fight for Kuats exclusivity, even blackmail those he had to seeing that it got done that way.
One thing he didn't want was Kuat become a member of the RGE, that would require Imperial laws and regulations to be followed. Possibly a Governor being set up here with a garrison on planet or the dock. Slowly they could take over or make matters worse somehow.
"It had to be a economic treaty if anything, just the promise of military assistance and building contracts if ever needed." He tells her honestly still looking up at the ceiling and thinking out loud. " I have reasons for this....first, anything else other than economic...they will set up shop here. Governors, garrisons, whatever you can think of.." He was silent for a while, thinking of other problems."Economic is the way to go, you get what you want...a profit. They get the best craftsmanship in their ships.....anything else is not worth it. I think."
"Alright..." She added softly, leaning back against the couch again, "...what are you devising? And don't try telling me you're not."
He turns to her looking innocent and gives her a sly grin. "I love you..."

He was right of course, the empire wouldn't miss an opportunity to set themselves up here in some form or another, and bit by bit everything would be swallowed up, consumed by their forces. They always did have a subtle way of getting things they wished, economic was the only way to go really.
"Undoubtedly, it couldn't be presented any other way, no one within their right mind could allow the empire to sink their claws in too deeply, that includes me. I know the ten consider me something of a revolutionary...I didn't come to this position through the herritance exemption, but that was by fluke or bad luck alone....at least from their point of view. The heir of the Kuat bloodline is far too young to take up this rank. Until my death, it's something I shoulder. And I see no reason why not to rattle a few cages."
It was what he said next that threw her ever so slightly, though she tried not to let it show. The way he had looked momentarily lost before answering, the expression he wore now combined with that and his eventual words of...
"I love you..."
..made Khari frown somewhat skeptically, brow furrowed for a second before evening out smoothly.
"And I you...but that wasn't what I was talking about, it wasn't what you were thinking either. You know, you're going to have to come up with better cover ups than flattery."
That was her all over, prod at the subject in whatever way she could, slowly getting him wound up by getting one over on him. "Someone might figure out your true intentions that way...didn't your grandfather ever teach you the art of subterfuge?"
He would know she was joking with that one, but a poke at his herritage was worth every poke he ever took at hers, and he had taken some, it was that haughty demeanour that didn't really help her cause any. But she couldn't really help that, she was what she was and there would be little changing it. Rather like him, but she loved that.

"And I you...but that wasn't what I was talking about, it wasn't what you were thinking either. You know, you're going to have to come up with better cover ups than flattery."
That had him chuckling for the sheer joy of it. She was right, but he liked telling her he loved her. It made it real to him somehow.
That was her all over, prod at the subject in whatever way she could, slowly getting him wound up by getting one over on him. "Someone might figure out your true intentions that way...didn't your grandfather ever teach you the art of subterfuge?"
He taught him many things, but mostly he tried things his own way even to his grandfathers ultimate frustrations got the better of him. Then it was learning the hard way...endless spars with Urai, never again. "That he did, but like him i am a rebel....i break away from the preconceived notions of others have of me. Keeps them off balance. This was a mild form of flattery...." He says to her before taking another drink. "...thought its the truth if i say one look into your eyes and i am lost. That s simple look from you or a touch can take my breath away....might be viewed as flattery, but its no word of a lie when i say it about you."

Laughing some, she nodded in agreement with him, he had her there, almost.
"Ah, but I never said you were lying, only that flattery wouldn't distract me from the real trail of thought."
She glanced at her glass again but never reached for it, her nerves were in check enough as it was and she wanted to remain sharp of wit. Arri would be with that new customer of theirs by now, the lack of communique meant that things were either going well, or he had changed his mind, she rather preferred it was the former. Those living ships would prove interesting. But her mind only flashed briefly to the real reason they had come here, she wanted to shove that firmly out of her ear and into the waste disposal with the cause of it all...she really hoped that Urai and his friend had been successful with that.
"Breaking away from preconceptions is something everyone should excel at in my opinion. I suppose you had several of me, perhaps I even met some of them spot on...but i'm interested nevertheless, what are your defining differences from these preconceptions, and did I break any of those about me, the ones you might of had?"
Khari wasn't even sure she wanted to know that, but at least it would be fuel for the fire, she had plenty about him and she hadn't ever been afraid to voice them - with a wince she realized then, she had actually voiced most of them, taking a stab at his criminal connections whenever the opportunity had arose.
"Anyway...getting back on topic before I get lost in that rogueish look you are giving me, You are a senator for the RGE, yes? You know best their intentions...how would they take such an offer, were Kuat to become involved with them, even at an extended level?"

Corey stares as Arri as he comes down the ramp, he offers a smile to her as he bows to her as he gets off the ramp. He looks back at Selena as he gives off just a little laugh after hearing about trying to explain how Selena works. He stands to her left as he crossed his arms as he looks down at her.
“Sorry, for keeping you waiting but I did promise the Captain that I would show him my ship. Selena is in no need of any upgrades. Please call me Corey, I hate being formal. I thought I had to give my title in order to see someone of great importance. I do understand that Lady Khari is a very busy woman and other things to attend too. Well, my ships that are in need are a few Star Destroyers. “
Corey tries not to stare but she was pleasing to the eye. If Khari look anything like Arri he would have to cover his mouth. He gather his thoughts as he continue to speak trying to explain what he needed. Turned to Arri
“I have to go back inside my ship to get the data of what I am in need of, if you wish you may have a look around inside Selena. She might even like you, its been sometime since a woman was inside, she might like the company.”
Corey smile was gentle as he offered a hand onto the ramp

I suppose you had several of me, perhaps I even met some of them spot on...but I'm interested nevertheless, what are your defining differences from these preconceptions, and did I break any of those about me, the ones you might of had?"
That made him laugh out loud, not all of it, but one small word. He remembered earlier as he walked to his ship seeing an advertisement of KDY products and them 'excelling' at things. He was in a good mood, so hearing her say that small word made him laugh. Hopefully she wouldn't take it the wrong way.
"No, i had one of you...one single preconceived notion of you. You set me start right off the start." He tells her with a grin again. "and before you ask....it was about keeping telbunnies. Which i am not playing as anymore...."
"Anyway...getting back on topic before I get lost in that roguish look you are giving me, You are a senator for the RGE, yes? You know best their intentions...how would they take such an offer, were Kuat to become involved with them, even at an extended level?"
He thought still, in the back of his mind that same question and about others. He still didn't know the answer to her question. "I don't know, all i can do is come out as ask them if they are open to the possibilities. Hope they don't take it as a foot in the doorway, seeking to take over operations here." He sighed and looked into her eyes. "You have to stick to your guns on this, give the barest of concessions, while gaining a huge profit from them in return. There will be no troops here, no fleet, no political maneuvering by them here on Kuat. There cant be...." They had to make things very clear, that this was an economic alliance almost. KDY supplies ship, but not exclusive to the RGE and in return they are to render military aid only when expressly asked by Khari.
They would either take it or leave it....if they saw things as KDY being weak and tried to take by force. Tress would put his support along side khari and kuat.....

The concept of a ship actually being able to think or feel what as she did, as they did, was perplexing to Arri - ships were posessions, not beings, how did one begin to go about connecting with one. But the concept was more than intriguing and she listened to Corey speak of this...Selena, with an avid interest.
"I would be interested to come aboard," She responded quite keenly, "Although she might have me at something for a loss when it comes to introductions, I don't really know how you would begin...interfacing with such a thing?"
Was thing the right word to have used? Did the ship also have feelings? She couldn't ever have known unless she was told, she'd seen holos of such craft, even observed some in passing when she had travelled, but never this close and never so real.
Arri followed Corey up the landing ramp, gesturing at her back for the security personnel that she would be fine, that this endeavour seemed legitimate and they retreated to a further distance, before going about their daily duties.
"Star destroyers we know well how to deal with, the latest are manufactured here after all...your fleet will be in excellent hands."
The interior of the ship was nothing short of astounding, relatively silent, aside from the occasional creak of metal where it did appear, and even the air felt different in here when compared to the recycled and purified air from outside in the hanger. It was very much a self contained little environment in it's self.
"I've never seen anything like this..." Arri mused alloud, forgoing the latter half of the sentence which she kept to herself - that there was no wonder Khari wished these to dock here, the ideas one could get in just a glance. Very prudent, very good for those who knew what they were looking at.
"Can she hear us...Selena? Now I mean?"
"and before you ask....it was about keeping telbunnies. Which i am not playing as anymore...."
With a measure of dry amusement Khari smiled at that statement and spoke matter of factly in reply, sweeping her long black hair over behind one shoulder and out of her way.
"For the time being at least. And not if this matter of commerce with the RGE goes ahead, no. But speaking plainly about who you are to the Kuati public does not mean they will inevitably know about you and I. No one suspects the telbun...and now you have first hand experience as to why that is."
He would undoubtedly just see that as her choosing to exercise her control over the situation, but it was far from the truth. While much of that could have been baiting, Khari knew from her own experiences as a wayward rebellious type in her youth, dressing as someone nobody paid more than a casual glance at - if that - got you places you never dreamed you would be able to go. And with next to no problems too. No one would think anything of her spending time with a telbun, many of whom wore veils that obscured everything but their eyes...who was to know who was truly behind that guise?
"But if that was your only misconception, then I am impressed...you see more than most care to and I am very grateful for your foresight, another in the long list of things I have come to love about you."
She leaned in conspiratorially, eyes narrowing slightly but she never lost that knowing smile, not for a second.
"Oh don't you fear, I will be sticking to my guns on this, the empire has never gotten ahold of Kuat nor Kuat Drive Yards for a reason, never totally. And I intend to honour that tradition to the letter. You'll see. Just arrange this meeting if you are able, and in the interrim we can iron out the small details, you and I. "
That smile of hers turned dark, and she slid a hand across his arm, down it to his own hand where she paused, knowing she had his attention.
"You never know, it could be enjoyable."

He watched her with his own smile. "I am looking forward to this discussion. Just tell me when and where?" She had said enjoyable, that it would be with her around. Though that was part of a bigger problem. Being around her by themselves and no one around often led to other things, other more enjoyable things....so he was looking forward to it.
He did frown recalling something she had said earlier."So, your saying you want me to keep playing the telbun...?" He asked his head tilting slightly to the side while he looks at her. He supposed he could use it to go around places without drawing to much attention. Though the thought of those robes again had him resistant to the idea, the rest or rather one particular job requirement he would gladly assume, he thought with a smile. The rest he would fit her on.

"I am looking forward to this discussion. Just tell me when and where?"
Debating this with a slight tilt of her head, mirroring his but in the opposite direction, she didn't take much time to come up with a suitable answer.
"No time like the present, that is if you have had enough downtime?" Her voice responded silkily, "Of course I see no reason why we can't relax and plot all at once...well, perhaps not 'plot' exactly, it's a very ugly word, don't you think? More...prepare."
This time she did reach for her drink again, downing the remaining contents of the glass in one fell swoop. Whatever he had picked out had been as requested, exceedingly strong, but her nerves had been all but shot - which caused her to wonder.
"And..." Khari didn't quite know where to look, but this was something that should be addressed nevertheless, "...I suppose I have been wondering if you are alright...after witnessing all that? I know you have probably seen your fare share of...similar circumstances, but the look you gave me in there. I don't want you to think that is how I dispatch anyone who becomes a nuisance."
Still not sure where she should be looking, for she would not find the answers at the bottom of an empty glass, Khari was thankful when he brought a more lighter hearted subject up. Awkwardness wasn't something that should come easy to either of them, not after everything they had done together in the space of a week.
"So, your saying you want me to keep playing the telbun...?"
The Kuati woman couldn't surpress that giggle that had been brewing inside, it sounded positively nervous, but filled with such mischevious connotations it bespoke a thousand thoughts for her. This time she did meet his gaze, and this time, she definitely knew what to say...it would lighten her mood at least.
"Playing, no...I was thinking you could take that up full time...assume the position, so to speak." There was a plainess to her expression that, for all intents and purposes, appeared as if she was deadly serious, of course, inside she was in hysterics. This really was too funny.
"Are you telling me you wouldn't benefit from that? Any of that? And I rather like having you at my beck and call..." Seeing her opportunity to go that little bit further, Khari snatched at it with both hands, keeping up the air of superior enthrallment throughout, as if she really was imagining what it would be like. "...Imagine what your family would think, oh how ironic. I suppose it's only fair, your family get to keep Eclipse, I get to keep you."

He thought of that and smirked. "Its more plotting than preparing.....i am more that type of person. My family is known for its plots." It was true....he he was plotting to help Kuat and therefore khari gain a better deal. It wasnt about helping the Empire, it was about her and ultimately him having a legit reason to be around her. It was that or he called to the Senate or else. " I saw the sooner the better when planning ahead of time..."
When she changed the subject on him, he knew something was up with her. That last question she had asked him, she was fearful of his response or something. "Playing, no...I was thinking you could take that up full time...assume the position, so to speak."

"I guess thats true...." He says resting his head back on the couches back as he looked up at the ceiling again. "My family owes yours recompensations ...so i will settle them. I agree to be your telbun....." He closed his eyes and let out a breathe of acceptance.
