Urai quickly took to task and when he asked Arri if she could procure a large waste disposal container she knew precisely where to acquire one. Getting a droid to deliver it was not much of a problem, so few flesh and blood beings delighted in that particular job that it was almost a certaintly.
"I'll get one sent here direct...but i'll give them the long route, we want all the staff to have vacated the area."
Arri had been about to get to work on that when Tress' question had caught her unawares again, while she wasn't exactly alright with being stuck in a room with two rather professional looking 'waste' disposal experts, and never mind the corpse being wrapped up in that ornate rug, she took to this like anyone of her station should do, without question, with confidence. Her initial shock was wearing off, and it had been clear from the outset that she had no love for the man that now lay dead on the floor...Khari had done everyone a favour.
"I will be fine, i'll get Urai and Siara what they require and then i'll see about ensuring that the Kuhlvults do not vy for that meeting they wanted, I can create quite a distraction when I wish to."
It was Khari who vented a slight chuckle at that one, though her reasons she kept to herself, instead reaffirming what Tress had said...after all, it wasn't Tress who held sway over Arri and what she did.
"Do not feel you have to stay." She assured her, "It's no trouble for me to call and request whatever these people need." Khari was a practical woman when she wished to be, whatever the outter facade might have made her seem like.
"I will be fine, really. I'll handle it." The other woman assured, and Khari raised her chin slightly in a half nod of an acknowledgement, then tugging on Tress' arm lightly, she really needed to get out of these stained clothes, she felt saturated by Taru's filth, as if she would remained marked by him if she didn't get rid of the clothes she wore sooner rather than later.
Slipping into the entrance hallway beyond her office, careful to do so without fully sliding back that door, she approached the secretary, still sitting behind her desk looking attentive and bright when the pair had come into view.
"Could you liase with Port support this afternoon, there is a Corey Dooku who will be arriving with half a fleet...they will know what to do, I wish to be appraised of every eventuality...every last one. You have my private frequency, I will be out for the remainder of the day."
Without further word, and pulling that robe tighter around herself in pained concern, she rejoined tress and gestured to a long and rather inocuous corridor, the lead up to her private quarters here was deliberately doudy, it drew the eye away from this area, leaving her relative privacy in the opulence beyond. There wouldn't be any interruptions, she hoped, because as it was, her nerves had taken too much of a shredding already, she needed to be somewhere she could drop the facade and just be herself for a moment, then deal with this mess.
"Through there, come, make yourself at home, you probably need the downtime as much as I."

Corey nods as he senses her thoughts not trying to pry. He lowered his head after she told him her name. He looks down into his hand, looking at the datapad with three ships that has minor damage but he would need them first up and running to secure the homeworld. He looks up an speaks
“I have three ships with minor repairs an the should be upgraded first and would to the least of your crew time. With your permission, I would like to land and let my ship rest before I head back home.”
Corey notice that she was leaving and he was running his mouth not paying attention to her condition. He stands
“Thank Lady Khari, I will have them here in a couple days. I will like to remain here until they arrive before I head out.”
Corey turns off the comlink, only leaving voice line open. There was no need show himself to someone lesser than Lady Khari. He moves the controls an head slowly towards KDY to land.

"Through there, come, make yourself at home, you probably need the downtime as much as I."
When she gestured at a long corridor, that he assumed lead up to private quarters he took the lead walking ahead of her. Every other step he looked over his shoulder at her just to see if he was going the right way. Coming to a doorway, he stops and turns waiting for her.
"You leading me to my death or this your personal slave quarters?" He asks with a slight smile, hoping to judge her mood. She did just kill someone, so she might break down or soldier on like he thought she would. He was really hoping that she would, but was ready for the worst.

"I'll get one sent here direct...but I'll give them the long route, we want all the staff to have vacated the area."
Ah, this one was quick and intuitive. He liked that, she would be an asset if they set up operations here. "Good thinking." He tells her as he starts to roll the dead body in the rug. The face was unrecognizable, so would be to all if things got out. He had a plan on how to dispose of the evidence, but for now they needed to get the body to his ship.
Turning to Siara, he asks. " Are you planning to help or act as a look out in a closed room, young one?" she better get accustom to how things worked in this group. They all aided one another, no matter what the problem was. It created a bond of trust, friendship, and brotherhood. First and foremost she must understand, Tress was in charge, then himself. It would always be that way.

"You leading me to my death or this your personal slave quarters?"
With grim humour she vented a chuckle at that comment, stepping infront of him to get to the touch pannel at the side of the doorway. The pad it's self seemed to have no markings upon it's surface, merely a blank screen, but as Khari's fingertips flew over the surface in a sequence of taps, symbols appeared and the door slid back to reveal the grandiose room beyond.
Tossing a glance over her shoulder she smiled wryly before stepping over the threshold.
"Death? No. Slaves? I don't think you could fangle those telbun robes around forever." It was a subtle dig at his comment about telbun being little more than slaves, which in her opinion was very untrue, but he would always have his views.
Beckonning him into the room the door sliding shut behind them both, she could drop the over robe immediately. It was too warm in that anyway, she had been meaning to speak to climate control again. As it was, these clothes would be destined for the incinerator regardless, there could be no evidence of what had transpired in her office today.
Motioning to a selection of plush chairs and a couch at the center of the ornately adorned room, Khari gestured for Tress to sit while she went about getting out of the mess she was in. The private quarters were certainly lavish enough, rather like a small home from home, but it would have been hard to believe the reality of this being a poor shadow of what she had on world. But there it was, lavish as it came and shameless with it. If you had the means, you certainly flaunted it.
"Make yourself at home, and by that I mean sit down and help yourself to a drink. Unless you were considering joining me?"
She left that sentence unfinished, slipping into an adjoining room, her sleeping quarters, dominated by a bed so large it could have slept four. This place had the added benefit of being up to date with various latest pieces of technology and gadgetery, all carefully concealed or blended in to the room's style and scheme.
Shucking out of the gown she had been wearing wasn't a problem, in his haste to remove it from her initially, Tress had torn some of the fine fabric anyway, not that she minded, what had come immediately after had been more than mind blowing. It would have been a time to remember if Taru hadn't gone off the rails when he had. Standing there, the crumpled fabric between her fingers, the cloying air causing her a skin chill in her naked state, she paused for thought. She had just killed someone...and not just anyone, a person she had personally selected for some higher purpose, who she had trusted above all others at one point in time. And he had turned on her.
Power made everyone mad under the wrong conditions, that was why she had reluctantly accepted this position. Khari vowed that it should not affect her, whatever happened, however enamoured with the title she became. Balling up the gown into a bundle, she grabbed the over robe too, enfolding the bloodied fabric inside it, there was a garbage disposal in the kitchen area of the rooms, the incinerated waste was always collected by droids, fire would purge the last traces of what she had done from this place forever. So long as Urai kept up his end of the bargain.
So what now for her and Tress? Things had been left somewhat hanging, it was as good a time as any to broach the subject.
“Forgive me if I am foolish for asking, but how are we....now I mean?”
**** " Are you planning to help or act as a look out in a closed room, young one?"
The Nightsister stared back dispassionately at the man who had just addressed her such, then glanced at the enshrouded corpse, bound up inside the ridiculously ornate rug that was surprisingly holding a considerable ammount of the mess adeptly enough that it hadn’t seeped through the weave. Urai’s question was a facecious one, but prudent nevertheless, she couldn’t slight him for that...too much.
With the same ominously dispassionate air about her, as if all around her was of no consequence, Siara focussed her attention intently thought the force, weaving what was akin to a blanket of perception around the rug-bound body, a small mind rub would be all it would take to relieve any onlookers of their thoughts regarding what they were carrying or doing with that garbage container.
“You presume too much, our passage to our destination will be undisturbed. I will see to it.” She intoned at last, in that rather arrogant and dismissive way she seemed to utilize. A manner that chilled Arri to her bones.
“Do you need me for anything else? If not, I was going to see to it that Tress’ ship was unimpounded.” The blonde Kuati queried, the less time she spent near Siara the better, the woman reeked of forboding nature.

"Death? No. Slaves? I don't think you could fangle those telbun robes around forever." He smiled at that, not cause of telbun remark, but he had never thought he would want to 'belong' to someone as much as he did to her. Not particularly as a telbun to her, but just hers in whatever role he could get. She was feisty, brave, passionate....and she took his breathe away at odd moments over the littlest things. She beckoned him inside the room, which he did without thought. His eyes looking around at the lavish trappings of the room. "Ah,....uh, its obscene showing wealth like this. Give me a bare room and a simple life...." He says mostly to himself, he was wealthy himself, no where near compared to Kharis fortune. Though he was up there among the wealth in the galaxy. He was more at home and happiest with the simple life....give him a farm and an open campfire. He sat at the couch still looking around, until his eyes landed on her. They continued to follow her as she went about doing what she had to. "Make yourself at home, and by that I mean sit down and help yourself to a drink. Unless you were considering joining me?"Smiling he got up and followed her, he was human after all....the company of a beautiful woman, who could resist that. Grabbing a drink of something strong by the smell of it, he followed her and leaned against the door looking at her. “Forgive me if I am foolish for asking, but how are we....now I mean?”That was a hard question to answer, how were they indeed? He felt responsible for all that had happened so far. From offering Taru a new life, when he might have been happy where he was at. For messing up her life, he plans.....for what she had to do to end Taru's crazed plans. He felt responsible for it all, though there was a part of him, the selfish part, that wanted her still. To see if there was a chance.... " I don't know, that would depend on you....i have cause alot of problems for you." If he hadn't had come into her life, she would still be as she had been before...content, happy, whatever else she was. He had ruined her plans, her life all of it by just saying hi.... **** “You presume too much, our passage to our destination will be undisturbed. I will see to it.” Ah, she had much to learn this young one did. To rely on the Force wasn't power or strength, it was a crutch. He would have to show here, by learning other skills she would become stronger. But he did nod to her for her help. "Good, then we shall proceed once the droids show up." He tells her before looking at Arri who he felt was getting ready to ask something. “Do you need me for anything else? If not, I was going to see to it that Tress’ ship was unimpounded.” "Yes, see to that little detail....your help has been appreciated. You may leave as soon as the droids show..." He wasn't even looking at Arri as he spoke, not wanting to give her another reason to be scared ( ) "Siara, the long way or the short?" He tests her on this little matter. "Our trip to the ship with cargo...the long or short way?" The long way was better, but more of a chance for others to see them. The short even more so, but alot quicker. Her answer would go a long way in seeing what kind of woman she was.

"Problems?" Khari near snorted at that notion, not because she felt it was true, though that might have been his impression, but the real reason was about to become apparent "Tress, before you lost your temper with me in an Obroan night spot, my life was an endless stream of lavishness and heirs or graces. Look around you, you said it yourself, imagine being mired in this from day one. Oh it's not that I am unappreciative, not at all."
She shook her head, placing the bundle she was carrying around before turning around to face him, and then realizing quite how 'severe' her state of undress was, holding up one hand, index finger pointed upwards asking him silently to wait a moment while she rummaged for something to put on.
"...Anyway, as I was saying, I am not unappreciative, I have a far better life than most, but it is, for lack of a better term, very very, extremely....boring."
Dour was probably a better word for it, doudy and dire at it's very best, then she had inherited a world of issues with KDY, but that only took her mind off things, it didn't give her anything to really sink her proverbial teeth into. Then she had met him...he, was very interesting, addictive too, and it didn't matter how much she denied to herself it would have been anymore, she knew it was, she had confessed her love for him hours ago. And that was why she had asked him now.
"Meeting you changed things, for the better. You irritate me, infuriate and get under my skin in a way I would usually give a man hell for. Several times over." Khari paused to fix him with a knowing glare, pulling garments out of a nearby storage drawer. "You challenge me in a way few dare to, and as much as I enjoy defying you at every turn, complaining or....I'm going to regret this aren't I? ...or taking action against you, I wouldn't change a thing."
Feeling somewhat awkward, and hating herself for blatantly blushing in her moment of honesty, she jutted her chin out slightly as she held her head high, trying to appear as aloof as she often did, but it was as if she could already feel his smirk eminating from across the room.
"Don't think I don't know you enjoyed that either..."
Her gaze fixed intently on the garment, a figure hugging and highly practical, tactical skinsuit that was better suited for being on the move constantly around the orbital array. Finery was one thing, but it left little leeway for comfort, and since she could afford to, she never scrimped on compromising function instead of fashion when she could have both. Slipping her legs into each leg of the jumpsuit she pulled it up over her demure form, trying to ignore his amusement for the time being.
*****
It was a trick, she didn't need to press the old avian's mind to realize that, her answer dictated a lot he would afford her, and with that in mind she must choose carefully.
Siara consiered the two options, weighing them up equally. Each had their pros and cons, to such a level where they were both as good as the other. But it was another reason entirely that came to mind when at last she reached her resolution.
"Neither is the better option, because we can all leave the office undetected." She surmised, noting Arri's look of disbelief in particular.
Keen to capitalize on her moment of inspiration, the nightsister continued. "It would take minimal persuasion to keep living beings away from that corpse, were we to carry it, but if we, too travel along side it in the disposal container, get, say...a droid to take it to disposal, none of us risk the chance of being seen at all."
Arri nodded slowly, then her gaze brightened with realization, "Of course, the waste disposal is managed entirely automatically, the whole line is automated, it is a task no living crew member would wish to undertake, we have droids for that."

Was he suppose to pay attention when she was undressed as she was. He had only so much control and this was pushing it to the brink. Though he was trying very "hard" in paying attention to her, knowing he had missed some of her comments.
"Meeting you changed things, for the better. You irritate me, infuriate and get under my skin in a way I would usually give a man hell for. Several times over." "I didn't say anything...." he tries to say his part with a smirk of enjoyment, but she keeps on.
"Don't think I don't know you enjoyed that either..."
"I cant say that....I do enjoy things with you. A LOT." He emphases to her with a wink, but grew serious again. " I do feel responsible for all this mess.....But, if there is any chance still there between us. I want it...I want you..." he makes no excuses about his needs. His wants and where his thoughts lay.
****
He stood a smile or what appeared to be one showing in his eyes. "Good. that is very good." He tells them both. They were smart and quick thinking. " Have you thought about memory wipes for them?" Others they can be made to forget with the force, droids had stored memories and were harder. "We have to leave before the droids get here or we will still be implicated."
"Is that not so?" He asks them both.

" I do feel responsible for all this mess.....But, if there is any chance still there between us. I want it...I want you..." he makes no excuses about his needs. His wants and where his thoughts lay.
By this point she had wiggled her way into the figure conforming jumpsuit and was zipping it up, reaching back beneath the colar line to scoop up her hair and pull it free from the constricting fabric to hang loosely, still listening to what he had initially said with a destinct ammount of amused tone to his voice. She would have rebuked him for it, caught him off step with a quip or cutting remark as she usually did, but the seriousness of his latter sentence stopped her in her tracks, and she spun on her heel to face him, the same seriousness in her expression.
But the look in her eyes was not a harsh one, not at all, more concern that he would think she would send him away or end this simply because of these...difficulties, he had mentioned.
"It was never in question, not as far as I was concerned. We both knew this could be difficult, we knew the risks and we took them. I suppose you live and you learn, this only seeks to prove me glad. I had no hope of ever asking you to fit in with all of this, but I don't want you to. Your outlandishness is what makes you you and I love that. That..." Khari said as she approached him slowly, meandering round behind him as she placed a hand gently on one of his shoulders, drawing it round in a light trail across his back, to it's twin on the other side as she circled him and came into view again. "...I want without a question of a doubt."
Now facing him, she took a moment simply to gaze back at him, searching his eyes - the slight air of rogueishness they seemed to have to them ever present - for some form of resonance, she stepped a little closer still, proximity never having been an issue for her, yet she didn't touch him, not yet.
"I would think we reached a conclusion, wouldn't you?"
Leaving that question on a high note, she quirked an eyebrow curiously, wondering what was going through his mind, and at the same time knowing precisely that it had to be much the same as her. So it was time to inject a little chaos into the mix.
"So-" She steepled her fingers pensively, turning again, just as sharply as before, and walking away a couple of paces, back facing him so that he would not see the mischevious smirk that was tugging at the corners of her lips. "- we are agreed that you will now be my telbun, which means taking up all those lovely little duties you were adament were so bad. Fetch me a drink would you? I'm feeling rather parched."
It was more than Khari could do to hold in the chuckle that had caused, and it felt good not to. The tension she had been holding in, the stress, the worry, the pain, it all had to go somewhere and rather than have it take it's toll, she knew something to lighten the mood was precisely what she had needed. And even she couldn't hide the rise and fall of her shoulders when she tried to stifle that laughter.
Tossing a glance over one shoulder at him, a very wry look painting her visage, she couldn't resist one last little dig. "Well? Hesitation just won't do."

Selena lands as a security squad comes up to his ship, Corey exits slowly out of his ship as he touches his ship skin. He rubs her skin as he looks down at the leader of the Security force. He nods as he speaks to them still rubbing his ship.
“Good day sir, you know they don’t make them like this anymore. She maybe the last of her kind (still rubbing her side) I am sorry, I am Kage Dooku of the Grey Jedi Order, I mean the leader of the Grey Order. Lady Khari, gave me permission to land while I wait for my ships come in for repairs.”
Security nods as they form a formation at the end of the landing of his ship.
“So this is a living ship? I only heard of them, never seen one with my own eyes. Sir, we will escort you to our guess quarters. If you don’t mind follow me.”
Corey nods and he stops an walks down the ramp, getting in the middle of the group as they start to walk off. Corey looks around the bay and is amazed on how large it was, it has been a long time since he was here, too long.
“Maybe sometime while I am here, I might let you take a look inside of her.”
The guard nods as they enters a hallway as they made their way to the guess quarters. They stopped and the door opened to his room, Corey turns to face the guards.
“If you don’t mind please let Lady Khari know I am here, and maybe we could chat when time permits. “
Guard nods and replies
“Sir, I will send a escort to escort you to meet with our engineers to talk about the repairs. I will pass along your message to Lady Khari. Good day sir, I hope you enjoy our quarters for now. If you need anything please call so we can tend to your needs.”
Corey nods and enters the room the door closes behind him. He sits on the floor in the middle or the room, closing his eyes to open himself to the force. To see if anything special that might need his special attention. He laughs as he gets deep into the force.

I had no hope of ever asking you to fit in with all of this, but I don't want you to. Your outlandishness is what makes you you and I love that. That..." He stood there silent, allowing her the look of him, and feeling like a piece of meat about to be devoured. He wasn't complaining, he was enjoying it in fact. The feel of her hand sliding around his shoulders and then to stop in front of him. His eyes on hers and hers on him, his eyebrow raised as if mocking her appraisal of him."...I want without a question of a doubt."
"I would think we reached a conclusion, wouldn't you?"
A smile appears and he nods his head in acceptance. "Appears that we have...." His smile grew bigger, but changed as she walked away. The sway of her hips causing a tingle of desire shooting down his spine.
"So-" She steepled her fingers pensively, turning again, just as sharply as before, and walking away a couple of paces, back facing him so that he would not see the mischievous smirk that was tugging at the corners of her lips. There goes that tingle he thought as he shook his head in disappointment. She was never going to change, she was a sassy one....he liked it, the thought with an inner chuckle. This showed much to him, means she was going to be better than he thought, she was handling things well.
Still he waited seeing her shoulders move and felt like laughing himself, but he waited for the rest. There was alway more with her.
"Well? Hesitation just won't do."
Now he would speak his mind. " I hesitate over one thing at the moment." He tells her as he starts walking forward closer to her. "I hesitate punishing you for assuming i would be a telbun....that or the hesitation of ripping that nice outfit back off of you after all the trouble you went through putting it on. " Spanking her just because what she wore showed her to perfection, as her back was to him, then he turns and goes to get her that drink just because. "If i didn't mention it before...i like your choice in outfits....what would you like to drink?"

" I hesitate over one thing at the moment." He tells her as he starts walking forward closer to her. "I hesitate punishing you for assuming i would be a telbun....that or the hesitation of ripping that nice outfit back off of you after all the trouble you went through putting it on. "
That only drew out a devious chuckle from her, she didn't turn around though, but he would already know she was smirking to herself, he could have heard her laughing as he approached too. What made her start with surprise was the slap to her rear, though that did not lessen her amusement any, rather perpetuated it despite the small yelp of surprise she had barely restrained.
Slowly she turned, pivoting on the foot that held most of her weight at present, deviously wry glint very much captured in her eyes.
"Who's assuming?" She queried mock innocently, "Oh...you mean you didn't realize that was the agreement? The conscription?"
Khari was joking of course, she'd have no more had him actually be her telbun than she would have been his unwitting servant. But suggesting that had been the case definitely worked when it came to the little game they seemed to enjoy eliciting with eachother, seeing how far one could wind up the other in this challenge of oneupmanship before either cracked and was forced to retalliate. This usually worked on him, she had noticed, but this time she had barely scratched the surface, because he actually did turn to go and get her a drink.
Well how about that? She thought to herself, showing as much plainly in the expression she wore.
"If i didn't mention it before...i like your choice in outfits....what would you like to drink?"
"What ever is strongest, my nerves need some TLC." Khari admonished, brushing loose strands of her hair away from where they had fallen across her face, obscuring her line of sight. "And of course, I'm Kuati...we don't all subscribe to the conditions that many seem to with their taste for ridiculous hats."
Following him out of the room and into the main living space, she seated herself upon one of the lavishy plush couches, watching Tress as he meandered his way towards the storage cabinet to fetch that drink. The view was breathtaking from here, she silently mused, and she wasn't thinking about what lay beyond the transparisteel viewport either. At that point her mind started to wander a little, but she retrieved it before she truly was in the gutter staring up at the stars.
"A stunning example..." She muttered, realizing she was thinking aloud and chose to knit that sentence with the prior topic, "...the hat you were wearing earlier, very fetching."
The bleeping of her comlink broke her train of thought entirely, and she groaned slightly, having just set down to give her tired bones something of a rest, only to have to get up again and retrieve it from the other room. This had better be important.
Finding the device where she had left it, she picked it up and thumbed it on, coming face to face with the small holoprojection of one of port securities staff, signified by the destinct uniform he wore emblazened with the symbol for KDY. Had she not asked Arri to see to it Tress' shuttle wasn't detained under suspicion of theft?
But this wasn't about that.
"Apologies for the interruption, Lady Vestra, but there is a Kage Dooku here wishing to speak with you at your earliest convenience." The man on the other end of the link informed her stoicly.
For a split second, Khari actually had to wrack her brains to remember who that was, exactly, then it came to her, the one with the unusual title. The one with the living ships.
"Ah, yes...send my apologies, it completely slipped my mind, I have been busy with personal matters. I will need a moment or two, but have him shown to guest quarters if he has not been already." She explained, giving the operative a chance to take all of that in, perhaps she was going to have to forget that drink after all...there truly was no rest for the wicked. Longingly she glanced over at Tress again, the sight no less breathtaking than the last time she had looked, then turned her attentions back to the linkup. "I will be there as soon as I am available, but in the meanwhile, if you could contact Arri, have her meet the Kage in my stead, i'll have the info sent along shortly."
Acknowledging her request, the man on the other end of the communication cut the transmission, and Khari flipped the device closed, depositing it on the transparent table before her. Then she leaned right back against the back of the couch, head lolling backward listlessly as she turned her face towards the ceiling in exasperation.
"I completely forgot about that fleet. The engineers won't have but one moment of peace, they should give me that."
Though truthfully, peace hadn't been what was on her mind.

"Who's assuming?" She queried mock innocently, "Oh...you mean you didn't realize that was the agreement? The conscription?"
He smiled mischievously as he walked away to get her that drink. "You are assuming, that i am in agreement.....when it should be you agreeing that you are my own slave girl. In and out of our private life...." That should get her going, he hoped.
"And of course, I'm Kuati...we don't all subscribe to the conditions that many seem to with their taste for ridiculous hats."
He has yet to see her in a ridiculous hat, maybe he should buy her one and something 'special' for when she wears it. He liked that idea and was going to pursue it later when he had more time.
"A stunning example..." She muttered, realizing she was thinking aloud and chose to knit that sentence with the prior topic, "...the hat you were wearing earlier, very fetching."
That had him turning back to look at her. She seemed to be about to say something, but finished it with a innocent remark. What was she thinking or had been about to say out loud? Guess he would never know the answer to that. "Thank you i think?" He tells her for not thinking of anything else to say.
He resumed pouring them both a drink when he heard her com link beeping. Something more to worry about. Her life was busier than his was and now he felt like he was the spoiled one with nothing to do but hang out. He would have to do something about that, make a call to the Senate to make arrangements to work out of Kuat.
Leaning his hip on the storage cabinet, he looks at her while sipping his drink. Again this Kage Dooku, he seemed like a time consuming nascence to him. One of those people that had to be around and on top of things. He didn't cherish the thought of Khari having to deal with him on a daily bases.
"I completely forgot about that fleet. The engineers won't have but one moment of peace, they should give me that."
Walking over to her with glass in hand, he sits on the arm of the couch and hands her one of them. "Work work work and no play, seems to be the norm around here. " he had to take this time to pick at her, too. "That leaves me ample time to get into trouble.....maybe i should go check the slave markets to see the new crop that is coming in....someone to keep me company. That or set up a diplomatic disaster or two....."

Khari was left in her own well of private amusement as he thanked her for what was an entirely sarcastic comment, though she wagered he knew that anyway. His own remarks soon thereafter had been designed to provoke and inflame her self important sense of being, it was something everyone here seemed to have ingrained in them from birth. You either got used to it, or you hated it, there was little leeway.
The slave girl comment would never sit right with her, but she managed to let that one slide with a casual non committal noise.
"Work work work and no play, seems to be the norm around here. "
She scowled at him disapprovingly, it was a deliberate dig at her, and she knew it, but she couldn't help herself, had this been any normal week, she might well have had more time, but as it was she had literally just fallen into this head first, with little more notice than kind words and appraisals as encouragement. Why the former CEO had had to die such an impromptu death still irked her, and why he had handed it over to her, she didn't fully understand, but turning down this opportunity would have been very foolish indeed. She knew where she wanted to take this, and she knew how...the interrim was going to be the problem.
And speaking of problems, she thought deviously as she looked over at Tress again, the rather nonchalant way he stood there, leaning against the cabinet casually sipping at his own drink whilst making hers. Their eyes met a heartbeat later.
"Ah but when we play, we play undeniably hard." She replied cooly, leaving everything open to suggestion until he stumped her yet again with that comment she could not ignore, no matter how hard she wanted to.
"That leaves me ample time to get into trouble.....maybe i should go check the slave markets to see the new crop that is coming in....someone to keep me company. That or set up a diplomatic disaster or two....."
"If there are slave markets their produce certainly does not come through here, and don't you even think about setting up something like that here!" Oh she knew he was winding her up, trying to see if he could get her ire up and it had worked for the small part, but as ever the response had a sting in it's tail. "But since you're not taking the place of my telbun, I could always use help in picking another, couldn't I?"
The sublimely sweet and innocent smile she let play havoc with her features then, would have seemed very saccharine to him, but the undertone of baiting was ever present. But she didn't want to bash him too much, not after what had just happened.
"But let's not snipe..." She patted the spot beside her, a silent request that he come and sit with her when he was done. "...and I can tell your mind is working over something, so do tell."

"Ah but when we play, we play undeniably hard." had him raising his eyebrow. He liked that and knew it was pure truth in her words. Speaking of 'hard' it was hard.....not to think of her in those situations.
"Hey, never said i wanted to set up a slave operation here...i already got one on Ryloth and Telos." He says with a wink, before he glared hearing he next commit.
"I am very jealous, you know this....so there will be no replacements. I will just fill those......" He says the next slyly letting her get what she wanted from it. "..uh, 'gaps' left vacant." It was pure suggestiveness on his part, vulgar and crude. Though he said it just to see what she would say.
"But let's not snipe..." She patted the spot beside her, a silent request that he come and sit with her when he was done. "...and I can tell your mind is working over something, so do tell."
Shrugging he sits beside her. "I don't know, I need something to do. I cant be doing nothing while you work all day long. Was thinking about seeing whether or not is possible to work from here. The RGE Senate can strengthen its ties with KDY and i have a legitimate reason for being here." He looks at her finally. "Though that means people finding out about who i am..."

"Hey, never said i wanted to set up a slave operation here...i already got one on Ryloth and Telos.
She baulked slightly at that, "I sincerely hope you are joking....wait...no, I don't want to know."
It went without saying he had illigitimate endeavours going on around the core and elsewhere, as mentioned before, but she didn't need to know every sordid little detail, in fact, it was probably best she didn't.
"I am very jealous, you know this....so there will be no replacements. I will just fill those......" He says the next slyly letting her get what she wanted from it. "..uh, 'gaps' left vacant."
That made her chuckle darkly, her comment was forthcoming almost instantly, leaving little doubt as to whether or not she approved of his suggestivness, "And you do it so well, careful though...too much idleness leads to lassitude and i'd hate for you to get too comfortable."
The glint in her eyes told him everything he needed to know about what was left unsaid, it was an open challenge between them both, one pushed one way, the other pushed back, it was a fair trade. But eventually, one of them would break, tip the balance and then up the stakes a little, she was a very determined person when she wanted to be, but he had a habit of surprising her just lately.
"Although I am woefully without those stuncuffs today...hmm, a pity."
His words about openly inviting the RGE to take more of an interest here at KDY was interesting, it was something she had considered in the past, but had opted not to for the time being if just for the fact that Kuat's relations with the alliance had been an unhealthy one since the Yuuzhan vong had played a part in this galaxy. No thanks to their now deceased senator, of course. But the empire were such that they could perhaps overlook this kind of bad PR if just for the sake of nostalgia...
"You might have something there...and yes, revealing who you truly are could have something of a negative impact on my status here, but if your attempts to garner RGE interest are successful...." the rest went without saying, if this was a success, then the rest would come in due course. It could only mean good things for Kuat.
"Not just a pretty face, I like the way your mind works."
