"Is twice as sweet when earned well." before she pulled him back and claimed his lips fully.
He enjoyed the kiss and was even getting into it when she pulls away and laughs at him. No, he didn't think she would be the one to go get things, but that wasn't the question he had asked. He wanted to know who she had talked to, shurging he gives her a blank look at what she says next.
"No no no....that will be your job."
Oh, yes she was going to be enjoying this way to much. Later he would devise some sort of payback. Something to suit what she would do to him during the next couple of hours. If it wasn't that bad....he would go easy on her....maybe.
"Anything else I should be made aware of before setting out, Khari?" He asks pointedly wanting to know before hand. "How to address you? To act around you? "
"There shouldn't be a landing committee, so do you want to change here or somewhere else? I would advise here, of course, easier to explain that much, I can simply say the person I was traveling with wished to return home as soon as possible. No one need be any the wiser."
"Here i guess would be better...that way we can take off running outside." He smiles hoping she would help dressing him. "I could always use some help dressing in the robes...."

"How to act is simple, you observed a small fraction of how my telbun was with me...when he wasn't speaking out of turn at you for...well, you know. But I digress, you do not address me by my first name, at all, ever. Mistress is fine, if you wish pick some other honourrific I have never been too caught up in the complexities of that to mind."
As prepatory talks went, this was going to have to be a very brief overview, and he was going to have to pay close attention to every last word. Though she wagered he would be having some serious fun with this himself. It was what she had done at every turn when he'd tried to turn the tables on her.
"Do not interrupt any conversations I am having unless there is a matter that really cannot wait...you being hungry for instance is not something that cannot wait. Much of what you will have to do I can give direction then and there, fetch, carry, if I want something done, do it without question. It is generally advisable that you be ready for quite literally, anything. Though the most I would ask is that you just simply look patiently attentive."
Of course there were other duties, but he knew all about those and she wasn't about to deny him on those either, that had mutual benefits. She couldn't be too hard on him, not at this much notice, but he was definitely right on the count of her being very much prepared and willing to have fun with this one, not to mention that revenge.
A moment passed, barely a heartbeat, when her personal comlink went off again, and she inclined her head in his direction, "want me to collect that or are you going to do the honours? Might do you well to get used to the weight of those robes first."
"I could always use some help dressing in the robes...." Now that brought a smile back to her lips, lighting up her eyes with pure mischief.
"Yes, you certainly could." She responded almost as an afterthought, looking him up and down appraisingly. "I'll get on the details of your 'other' duties when we get you into those, shall I?"
Her tones dripping with suggestion, she motioned toward the door to the cabin, wondering if he would go or if she would have to. She was rather enjoying the view.

Mistress, huh? She had to bring that one up first, he beat just to rub it in that she would be in total control of this little scheme they were about to embark on. He had other choice words he could call her: O Holiness, Madame, Highassness? The last caused a smirk to appear.
"Yes, Mistress...." He tries it on for size as she went on with his duties or the way he should behave. This was getting to be fun he thought, so he couldn't interrupt her with words? There were ways to get around that sort of thing, if they continued to play this farce he would go buy something he had heard about. Hopeful they would have it here...if not he would send out for it. It was nothing to surprising just a little...well she would love it he was sure and looked forward to it.
"No, you go get them....its not good for me to get into character early so to speak....." Standing there he watches her to see what she would do.
The as an after thought it seemed she added something he raised a brow questioningly at. "Other duties.....? And what would those be?"

Sliding a sidelong glance at him she smirked again and issued an all too brief chuckle, "See, that wasn't so bad now was it?"
But as Tress asked her to go and fetch their delivery she did little more than role her eyes at his comment about not getting into character early. He was doing this to wind her up and she wasn't going to rise to the bait, not just yet. Besides, she'd have ample opportunity to get her revenge on him soon, and oh if only he knew just how much.
"I'll let you off that one, since this is a new concept to you...by the way, the robes are being brought over by my actual telbun, this might be a good opportunity to explain to him your...err...offer, if you can call it that."
And with that in mind, Khari extended a hand toward him, "Perhaps we should meet him together, wouldn't want you getting the wrong idea now would I? All the things we could get up to out there, alone...ish."
That was a total lie, she wouldn't have deigned to do that in full view of everyone at the docking bay, nor would she go back on her word, but Tress' jealousy seemed to be one of his pinion points, so easily riled into acting was he that it was almost too easy to wind the poor man up. Still, he had no issue in doing it to her, and this was a joke, designed to get him to want to follow her. Now fully dressed, she slipped into the access corridor beyond the cabin, towards the landing ramp where she found her telbun waiting as asked.
Though they were trained never to let their expression betray their emotions, if you spend enough time with one individual, Khari noted, you learned to sense when something had changed and right now all she felt was confusion from him, no doubt the request had been a strange one, but she hoped in learning what they were up to here, the telbun would at least understand and therefore stop concerning her with his confusion. Tress' offer was going to be the thing that would get him though...how could you explain that one?
In his arms, the heavily robed man held a bundle of near identicle cloth to that which his clothing was made. Khari nodded a brief thanks and took the cloth from his hands, doing her best not to baulk at how oppressively heavy it actually felt in her arms, let alone what it had to be like wearing it, and beckoned the man to follow her up the landing ramp. Soon it would be time for the switch, the chances of anyone noticing were slim to none.
Turning back some of the way she had come, Khari passed the heavy bundle to Tress, glad to have the weight taken out of her hands, though she wasn't sure he'd appreciate the sentiment behind handing all that over, and she was sure she had seen his mind working something devious over moments before...so what was he up to?
"Getting into all this will take a while, would you prefer to make your suggestion before or after you've seen first hand what he deals with day to day?" She cast a hand back towards where her actual telbun stood, keeping her attention focussed on Tress entirely, there was an innocence about the way she had said that as if it was no trouble at all to put someone through that, and really, this was half the reason most denizens of the galaxy found the Kuati to be a little on the frosty side, they did what they did and it worked, but at what cost? Tress had caused her to question that in essence.

"I'll let you off that one, since this is a new concept to you...by the way, the robes are being brought over by my actual telbun, this might be a good opportunity to explain to him your...err...offer, if you can call it that."
That was quick wasn't it, he thought he would have sometime to think of ways to tell him. How do you ask someone? How do you go about explaining the offer of a family, a different way of life? Frowning, he followed her and stood in the shadows just inside of the landing ramp. Just in case someone saw him.....well, that was a lie. It was because he was jealous and she yanked on his chain. He would pay her back for that in kind later....in more inventive ways.
He watched her as she stepped off the landing ramp and talk to her telbun. Then grab the bundle he held. That was it, she turned and came back towards the ship, her telbun following behind.
Giving him the bundle of clothes he raises an eyebrow at the weight and a small frown forms. Why were they so heavy for? Was it to signify holding someone down he thought, to remind that there was no chance to fly off and dream? It was all nonsense but his thoughts turned to chains....the weight was like chains and ownership.
"Getting into all this will take a while, would you prefer to make your suggestion before or after you've seen first hand what he deals with day to day?"
Turning to look at her, then to her telbun he shrugs and just asks him straight out. "I have an offer for you. A chance....for a better life for you and your family." He drops off the clothes on a near by chair and starts to unbutton his own shirt. "You will be adopted into my own family, be my sibling, my brother....welding every ounce of power and influence we have." Finally Tress looks at him. "For all appearances at least here on Kuat....you will still be Khari's Telbun....that is when you are here. If not i will play your role ..... " He waves a hand at the telbun robes. " ...that is why i will be wearing those."
He was getting naked, though he didnt know if that was required. He was just doing it so Khari would know he was naked underneath it all and tease her about it when there was time. So as he pulled off his slacks he looked at her he winked. "Those robes look hot...thought it best to be alittle more ....uh, comfortable." he tells her.
Looking over at the telbun he waits looking to see if he could read him. "Think it over if yo must.....if you decide not to at the moment. The offer will stand...."

Khari waited somewhat patiently to one side while Tress posed his question, she had rather put him on the spot, but he had been so intent on going through with asking her Telbun this that she was rather curious to see what the answer would be anyway. Her telbun on the other hand, looked utterly confounded when he heard what Tress was saying, skeptical and almost haughtily doubtful with defiance too. Not unexpected, she thought, Tress had threatened to kill him not so long ago...and she was glad she had never reapeated what he'd threatened the man's entire family with either, thankfully that had been uttered behind closed doors.
With a gentle nod in signification, Khari intended to let the telbun know he could answer as freely as he might whenever they had spent any time alone together, just she and him. He was something of a confidant these days anyway, he would know to trust that look, it would give weight to what Tress was offering.
"Go ahead..." She added softly, encouragingly almost, wondering if that would have surprised either man. But Khari's eyes were wandering, Tress was quite the sight, she never wanted to get used to looking at that, each time was as breathtaking as the last.
The Telbun, still a tad hesitant, drew up his gaze skeptically and looked at Tress, taking care to look the other man in the eye rather than just how stark naked he was getting, as if things were not awkward enough without taking that into account.
"Do not take offence when I ask this, but why would you offer me this? My family are taken care of well, thanks to my selection, their lives surpass that which they could have had." He paused then, clearly not wishing to offend either of the people present with himself, and he barely surpressed a slight bow of the head when his gaze caught that of his mistress.
"I don't understand..."
Khari found cause to speak up "The offer is real enough, we...discussed it, you might say, on the flight over."
She almost felt hurt by the way he looked incredibly interested at that prospect, she wasn't that unbarable, surely? Even so, she could tell by the way Tress was frowning just hefting those heavy robes that her telbun's life wasn't exaclty an easy one.
"Am I not conscripted?"
Khari nodded "Contracts can be changed...if I so wish."
"Then I am a failure, did I displease you, mistress?" He asked, gaze downcast and subservient yet again, giving the Kuati woman cause to shake her head emphatically...a little too emphatically in fact, and she then felt the need to smily thinly, but reassuringly at Tress...even if there was a hint of 'I told you so' about it.
"No, call this a social experiment if you will."

Looks her way and glares at her, then sticking out his tongue showing she wasn't helping. "Not a social experiment....just a chance to broaden your horizons. You will still be around, though coming and going as you please. If you are here and Khari needs you to play the role of Telbun in front of guests...you step in. You have in no way that i know of failed her...." Frowning he looks at the robes before leaning down and slipping them on that he tells the Telbun. "Tobe honest....i am of a jealous nature....uh, Telbun....Vestra?"
How do you tell him hes been demoted so to speak. That his duties had changed without making him feel like he has failed? Khari had said something about new role or duties away from them...how was he going to take that bit of news?
"We have talked over this jealousy, Khari and I, the idea of you.....damn, this is harder than i thought it would be." He looks over at Khari. "Maybe you should tell him what he will be doing now that i am around....his duties, duties that he once had that are no longer his....."
Things had changed for him and he didn't even know it. That is why he wanted to offer him a chance to leave....to make something for himself. A better life, not that his with Khari was bad...just maybe something he didnt want. If he did, then so be it......if not there was his offer.

She could have chuckled at the way Tress was handling this, but that would have been counter productive. The fact of the matter was that this was no ordinary situation, there was no right or wrong way to turn this and Tress being stark naked wasn't helping anyone...except herself. Keeping half an eye on that in particular, Khari reached over to where Tress had placed down those robes, and picked up the undertunic, then handed it to him none too subtly.
"I think this would go far more smoothly if everyone here was on equal terms, don't you?" She said, walking back behind Tress as if to help him into that item of clothing, taking the opportunity to murmur the rest of her sentence into his ear for him to hear only. "As much as I am enjoying the view from over there."
And indeed, only Tress would have seen and felt the pinch she bestowed upon on his rear, before she slipped into the foreground again to facillitate this conversation a little.
"What he means is, after explaining to him, several times I might add, what I purchased you for, he finds the situation a little...well, you know the opinions of offworlders more than he, so in knowing that you would begin to understand why it is he reacted how he did that night." Khari wasn't apologizing for him by any means, Tress was a free man, he could do or say what he wanted, though the way he had fallen into her hotel suite that day and literally taken charge was as interestingly new as it was a tad out of order, but that was why she had like it, she supposed.
"You do not wish for me to perpetuate your bloodline anymore? I see." Came the response, and to his credit, there was no sign of a slump in his stance. He had retained something of that rigid training then.
"Tress will be my consort...of sorts, his history with Kuat's governing families dictate the ammount of discression we might have to exercise initially, this is the easiest and most viable means. But moreover, this offer was made to you because Mr. Odak-Zann here, wishes to 'free' you as it were."
The telbun's expression remained impassive.
"Free me, mistress?"
Khari Nodded, "Relieve you of your intentive duties, for the time being...go ahead, try it. You never know. And of course Tress would give you his word that those threats he made against you would not be acted upon....won't you, Tress?" There was no mistaking the sharpness she had spoken with that last sentence, if he was going to bite at this offer, then that would be a deciding factor.

He looked at her as she got closer, grabs the tunic and help him put it on. He was so into hearing her whisper close to her his ear that he jerked as she pinched him. There was nothing more than he wanted than to wrap her in his arms and kiss her senseless for that, but they were in the process of explaining things to her telbun.
"You do not wish for me to perpetuate your bloodline anymore? I see."
It seemed as he had been looking forward to that part of their arrangement. Who wouldn't Tress thinks jealously as he stands there putting on the robes finally. That was one of the reasons he wanted the Telbun gone...he could get past what had happened before and even accept him into his family. Though not further association of intimacy between them. Just as she wouldn't like him having a mistress around.
"Tress will be my consort...of sorts, his history with Kuat's governing families dictate the amount of discretion we might have to exercise initially, this is the easiest and most viable means. But moreover, this offer was made to you because Mr. Odak-Zann here, wishes to 'free' you as it were."
That made him puff out his chest...well the consort part of it. He liked the thought of being with her, the role was up to her...though he would have fun convincing her if he didn't like that role, as she would he would guess.
"Free me, mistress?"
All he could do was stand there getting ready, as he heard them both. The Telbun sounded lost....or torn between duty and want. Repercussions was what it was all about and how it would effect those around them....or the three families in this case.
When he heard her last comment he nods absentmindedly and looks at her, then at the Telbun. "Yes, my apologies about that." he tells him. "It was the jealousy talking...." Trying out the robes and walking was hard. They were heavy and cumbersome...hot as nothing he would ever where again. Placing a hand on the Telbuns shoulder he tells him. "This is a serious offer....no strings attached other than to help us when we have need. As we will help you when you have need." In a more serious note, but jokingly he adds just cause he couldn't resist. "But know this....brother, touch Khari again and i will cut it off......"

Tress' apology was a little unorthadox, and indeed it made her scowl at him when he added that rather jovial little ending to it, but Khari supposed that was as good as awkward apologies came when it came to a man like this. Truly, her's weren't something that occurred often nor easily too, she could appreciate why he had uttered that afterword.
Even so, Khari remained silent, she'd get Tress for that one later.
"The terms of my consctiption were clear, if my mistress bids me to do something, I do it without question. It was a conscious choice to continue on with the life I have lead up until now, I was not forced into servitude if that is what you believe. But if circumstances have indeed changed, then I have little choice but to consider other options." The telbun said pensively, still managing to keep ahold of that strict control ingrained over years of conditioning, hands concealead beneath the sleeves of the opressive robes he wore.
Khari had never considered it before, but he conducted himself with a poise she would have long lost had she stood in his place for so long. No doubt Tress would consider that too, eventually, he already looked uncomfortable.
"This situation is unorthodox at the very least, I know. But if it is possible, you have my word that your family will know nothing of this new arrangement, should you wish to accept, even under a trial basis." Khari wasn't even sure why she was aiding him in that, if anything she should be against this, but if it spared Tress' feelings on the matter, that meant a great deal more to her than tradition.
"Very well," The other man responded somewhat hesitantly, a small sigh escaping him as he did so, as if tired by the weight of the prospect, or glad it was at a point where he could either accept or decline, "But they can know nothing of where their subsidaries come from, I would be disowned...disgraced."
Khari already knew she would say nothing, disgrace ran both ways, she also looked to Tress for confirmation on that.

There he stood in the robes of a Kuati Telbun listening to Khari tell her own about certain new developments in the contract. But he was starting to see that he was at least listening to the prospect of accepting the deal that he was being offered.
When it appeared that he did accept Tress smiled at Khari, not for obvious reasons, like the guy was now out of the way....but that he had said yes. So when she looked at him he nodded. "I give my word, too." He tells them both sealing the deal.
"Now that things are settled. You can stay here or go out into the galaxy with escorts...for your safety." He added to the telbun. "I can get those legal documents set up to sign.....change your name. You cant be called Telbun now....." There were lots he had to do, set up a bank account for him. Give him the codes for his apartments on Coruscant, and Anaxes. There was time though.
Looking at them, he swears. "These things are hot and heavy..... !" It wouldn't do wonders for his mood if he was stuck in them for long hours, but he would calm down when he got home....and in the privacy of Khari's house, he would seek to have some fun. " How do i look?" He asks his mood lifting already.

"I will stay, for the time being, if it is all the same to you. I have some things I need to get in order before I even consider going anywhere, and if I am needed?"
Khari shook her head, though not too adamantly, it was going to be strange for him not having to quite literally tend to her every whim. Much of his life lately had been spent going places with her, going almost everywhere with her, these past few days had been a shock to her system much less what it had been for him, no doubt. But what did his feelings matter? Wasn't that what she should think. That seemed to have changed now too. Onwards and upwards then, Khari supposed.
"Go and do what you must, the house on world is open to you via the usual means. And Tress is right, assuming you had a name before we made this arrangement, retake it as your own."
" How do i look?"
Those words made both of them look over at Tress, who was, for all intents and purposes, still trying to fangle those robes like he owned them. And both Kuati exchanged a glance with one another before looking back at the scene before them. It was only the other man who managed to keep their emotions in check, while Khari on the other hand, had done her best to keep a straight face....and was failing miserably.
"Perhaps if you....oh I don't know....lost the, umm... over confident swagger?"
And that was that, the moment so much as a snicker escaped her lips, she collapsed into full blown laughter, tears welling in the corners of her eyes as she fought back the image of Tyber Zann having lived to see this day...oh there would be something to say about that and he was probably going to make her pay for even daring to laugh, but just watching him there for a moment had brought some much needed humour to a humourless situation.
Striding over to her former telbun, she took from his head the tall cylindrical hat and turned to tress, effectively crowning him there and then, dropping it down onto his head, still poorly holding back the chuckles. With a resolutely heavy plonk of the hat, she leaned back on her heels to gain better perspective, and then quirked an eyebrow.
"There...that should solve the problem."

"Perhaps if you....oh I don't know....lost the, umm... over confident swagger?"
He sort of knew this was coming, she was to free spirited not to find humor in this instance. He himself, if he was being honest enjoying this more than he should be. Hearing her laugh made it all worthwhile to him.
Looking over at the Telbun, he nods to Khari. "She finds this funny....how about you?" Tress says with a straight face. Then watches as she walks over to her former Telbun and pulls of his hat and approaches Tress.
"Khari, am I suppose to be more malleable? More Nerf'ish if that is even a word.....Slump my shoulders and act as if i was ashamed or brow beaten?" He asks her as he settles the hat she placed on his head to a more comfortable position.
"Don't push your luck, woman!" he tells her showing her that confident swagger she had been talking about as he walked toward her slowly. "I am Tress Odak-Zann...the terror of the Underworld, Senator of the RGE and the only match for you." Standing just in front of her he smiles as he looks into her eyes. "Ask your new fake telbun and future secret Consort to kiss you....."
He just gave her a hint of the power she could possibly have over him as long as he played this part as Telbun. Grinning he wonders what fun she would come up with or what trouble, he thought. Just as long as she realized there would be payback with equal measure.....

"She finds this funny....how about you?"
The former Telbun raised his hands placatingly and shook his head as if to say he was staying out of this one, though honestly, who couldn't find humour in what Tress had just done? Even so...
"It would be rude of me to pass judgement after you proposed such a generous offer." He said smoothly, and that only made Khari chuckle all the more, she'd known about that quick wit for some time now, another reason she'd picked him. Resourceful people were handy people.
"Indeed, don't put your brother in such a precarious position, that's not nice now is it?" She joined in, speaking to Tress as he continued to play up to the moment, clearly having a bit of fun with this himself. Good, he'd need to keep that about him, it might be the only thing that got him through those awkward moments, and for everything else there was blind ignorance, keeping your head down came literally when wearing one of those hats anyway.
"Khari, am I suppose to be more malleable? More Nerf'ish if that is even a word.....Slump my shoulders and act as if i was ashamed or brow beaten?"
She stifled a snicker, trying to be serious and for the life of her failing. The tell tale rise and fall of her shoulders being the give away. "Malleable yes, brow beaten or ashamed, no-"
As he approached, she placed a hand on either of his shoulders, brushing off the shoulders of the robes and straightening them for him, palms deftly smoothing the layers of fabric, her dark eyes giving him the once over appraisingly.
"- You're not being punished, it's a great honour for the middle classes." Khari assured him confidently, her smile only broadening when he mock-threatened her like that again. It was a good sign that whatever she had said had gotten to him. The raven haired woman allowed him to swagger closer, evidently not yet content in amusing her just the once, and then stopped within easy touching distance.
"I am Tress Odak-Zann...the terror of the Underworld, Senator of the RGE and the only match for you." Standing just in front of her he smiles as he looks into her eyes. "Ask your new fake telbun and future secret Consort to kiss you....."
Raising an eyebrow, Khari crossed her slender arms over her chest and leaned haughtily, placing her weight on one hip as if she hadn't taken kindly to being told what to do. But they were in private, well...semi private, rank and file didn't matter here, particularly in this ruse. Reaching out to Tress with one elegant hand, she let her forefinger and thumb capture his chin in a gentle yet firm grasp, giving the scant beginnings of a beard a good tug before letting him go, fingertips sliding up his jawline until her palm cupped the side of his face while she stared back at him intently.
Leaning in towards him, she shook her head slightly, barely enough to make the tendrils of ink-black hair stir as they framed her fine features. "When will you learn?" Khari near purred silkily, "I don't ask...I take what is mine."
Closing the space between them, she nipped lightly at his lower lip before pulling him into a fiercely intense kiss, her lips pressed to his possessively, paying the fact they weren't alone no mind at all. She had no shame when it came to certain things and why should she? The only other present had seen a lot more than this.

"Malleable yes, brow beaten or ashamed, no-"She tells him with laughter, suppressed laughter at that, but he could still see it in her movements. "- You're not being punished, it's a great honour for the middle classes."
Yes, he was sure it was, but the fact that it was new to him made it hard to digest. Soon he would get the hang of it. He had seen many servants of the rich and powerful while he had been growing up and later as an adult. He could do this well enough to pass as a Telbun
"Speak your mind, Brother!" He tells him holding back his laughter. He was surprised he had said as much as he did, but it was encouraging to see he did have a voice of his own.
"Nice me?" He looks at Khari and winks. "Now that is something i have never been called before...i quite like it" He smiles smugly at her.
When she grabbed him by the chin and tugged he winced and glared, but it was replaced by a groan as she kissed him so throughly that it made his knees weak. All he could do is hold on and kiss back as best he could, his thoughts lost in a jumble of desire for her that he was shaken and couldn't remember what they had been talking about. Pieces jump out and he focuses on her again. "I don't ask...I take what is mine." She had said, he was hers....he liked that possessive streak of hers, and he didn't mind being hers.
"Yours, huh?" He smirked at her, while his new brother was forgotten for the moment, he would have to work on that with him. Have him learn to clear his throat or couch when he was forgotten. Wouldn't do to be rude to a family member.....
