The Apartment of Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker

[Luke Skywalker]

Luke thinks for a moment. "I'm not sure what it means, but I do think you need to talk to Pappy as soon as possible about what he has found. See if it holds any clues to this dream, this vision," Luke says with concern. "Don't worry, we'll figure all of this out. I promise you."

[Mara Jade Skywalker]

"Thank you. What would I do without you, farmboy?" Mara hugs and kisses him, then cleans up her breakfast dishes and pours another cup of caf.

[Luke Skywalker]

"Let's hope you never have to find out," kids Luke. His comm goes off. He checks the message. "It seems I'm needed at the Temple. Gonna grab a quick shower and head over there."

He gets a quick shower and dresses. He stops by to give Mara and Ben kisses, then heads for the door. "I'll see you guys later."

Mara made it home only minutes before Luke did from the Council Meeting.

"Shhh. Ben's asleep," said Mara.

Luke nodded he understood. He followed her to their bedroom.

Once there, they changed into night clothes and finished getting ready for bed. They climbed into bed, and soon Mara was in a fitful sleep. Luke lay awake thinking about the meeting.

Luke gets up, unable to sleep. The situation with Emperor Ire is troubling him. He decides to send an encrypted message to Pappy and Gert.

Hey guys,

Need a favor from you. This is off the books and a job for the Shadows. No official channels, and report directly to me. This is of the highest priority.

Need the Shadows to check out Ire. I am more than concerned he has named himself Emperor and shifted the power structure in the Senate. I overheard him say he was a Sith when I was in the Throne Room last week, but didn't anticipate this move.

Also, check into who may be interested in a rebellion/alliance against the RGE. If Ire is going to do what I fear he might do, it may mean war. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Luke sends the message to the home of Pappy and Gert.

Having sent the message, Luke is confident that the Shadows will get results. He is still troubled by the subject, and decides to meditate on the subject.

Luke sits cross-legged on the floor, and opens himself up to the Force. He feels the connection, and lets it fill him. He allows his consciousness to expand, and images to flow before him. He concentrates on the RGE, and gets an impression of two men with dark intentions. He can't get anything more specific than that. It is clouded by the dark side.

He comes out of his meditation with more questions than when he went in. He gets up and goes back to bed, hopefully to get some sleep this time.

Luke awakens and gets up. It has been a long night with little rest. He grabs a quick shower and dresses. He leaves a note for Mara.

Just a reminder to get in touch with Jagged Fel and Talon Karrde. Set in motion rumors that their is a Sith Holocron on Ossus. One of Exar Kun's holocrons.

Once the note is left, Luke leaves the apartment and goes to his office.

Having given it some thought all day, Mara has decided to take Ben with her when she travels to see Karrde. Luke will be busy and Karrde hasn't seen him in quite a while.

Mara had both of their bags packed and was preparing to leave Luke a note when she realized she didn't know the Wild Karrde's current whereabouts. She sits at the comm unit and punches in Karrde's private comm frequency. A few minutes later and Karrde's face materializes before her eyes.

His holo smiles warmly. "Well hello, Mara. How are things?"

She returns his smile. "Things are as good as they normally over here. Jedi speaking, things are as crazy as Joruus C'Baoth was; personally speaking, things are good. I was actually contacting you to find out the location of the Wild Karrde. It's been too long since you've seen Ben."

Karrde chuckles. "I would very much like to see the young man again. We're currently in the city of Feiya on the planet Deyer. I'll have the guys keep an eye out for you. Will you be in the Shadow?"

Mara notes the distance between Yavin IV and Deyor. "Yeah, we'll be in the Shadow, and should be there by tomorrow morning, Deyer time. See you then."

"Right. Safe flying, Mara."

Mara ends the transmission and jots a note for Luke:

Heading out to meet the Wild Karrde on Deyer to get the Sith Holocron rumors started, then picking up ysalamiri from Myrkr and taking them to Grainne on Concord Dawn. I figured you would be busy so I am taking Ben with me. See you in a few days, farmboy.

Mara grabs their bags, and she, Ben, and the nanny droid leave the apartment for the hangar.

Luke comes home, and sees the note from Red. He smiles as he reads it. He heads to the kitchen and grabs a bite to eat. He then heads down to the bedroom and gets ready for bed, Finally he gets into bed and falls fast asleep.

Luke awakens in the early morning hours. He is restless, thinking about SK and Ire. He gets up and grabs a quick shower. As he is getting dressed, he decides to head to the library and review some of the holocrons.

He grabs a quick bite of breakfast, the goes to the archives.

Luke arrives home, and decides that he is too tired to fix anything to eat. He grabs some topatoe chips and dip, and sits down to watch the news. After a while he puts the food away and heads to the bedroom where he gets ready for bed. He slips between the covers and falls fast asleep.

Luke wakes up and grabs a quick shower. He gets dressed and decides to just grab a ration bar as he heads out the door. He goes to his office.

Luke comes in with the gift Grainne sent Ben, and places it in the boy's bedroom on his bed.

He then heads to the kitchen and makes some nerf noodle soup. He sits down to eat it.

[Mara Jade Skywalker]

Ben and Mara finally return home from a long journey hopping from planet to planet. They drop their bags near the door and Ben runs off to his room.

"Luke? Are you here?" Mara calls through the apartment. "The rumors are out, shouldn't be long now."

"In the kitchen," Luke calls back. He is washing dishes from lunch. "Almost done. How was your trip?" He pauses a moment, "Great job on the rumors. Ben has a gift from Grainne on his bed."
