A simple yet functional apartment representative of a Jedi lifestyle. It is located on the Jedi Temple grounds, close enough to be readily available, yet secluded enough to afford the Skywalkers some privacy. There is a nanny/security droid to watch over Ben when Luke and Mara have to be out and about. Threepio and Artoo are often found at the residence when their services are not needed elsewhere.

Mara opens the door and enters. Luke follows carrying a sleeping Ben to his bedroom. Exhausted from the days events Luke and Mara head off to bed themselves.

After spending a frustrating afternoon with a fussy two year-old yelling "No, Momma!" every time she tried to put his shoes on, Mara decides to try out the new training remote she picked up on the flight in. She puts Ben behind a transparisteel blast shield in the living room and assigns Nanna the duty of watching him.
Pushing the furniture out the way she says, "You ready for this, kid?"
Mara activates the remote and unhooks her lightsaber from her belt. The instant she ignites it, the training remote comes to life, spitting blaster bolt after blaster bolt her way, which she easily sends sailing into the floor.
Realizing the bolts are burning holes in the floor, Mara shuts down her lightsaber and says under her breath, "Stang." Deciding to cover the burns with a rug from another room, she says to Ben, "Don't tell Daddy, Ben." Then ignites her lightsaber again, and continues battling the remote.

Having enough of that, Mara grabs the rug from the other room and covers up the burn spots.
To the nanny droid she says, "Keepy an eye on him, will you?"
Then exits the apartment for the TapCaf.

Luke arrives home shortly after Mara. He checks in on Ben, finding him sleeping. Luke covers Ben with a quilt that he had kicked off sometime earlier. He then heads into the living room.
Once there, Luke checks his mail. Finding nothing urgent, he checks the holonet for the latest news. He then heads off to bed, finding an exhausted Mara fast asleep. Luke watches her sleep for awhile, then drifts off to sleep himself.

Luke wakes up in the middle of the night. Unable to sleep, he gets up and gets dressed. He heads out to the Temple to see if anyone is stirring.

"Oof!" All the air rushed out of Mara's lungs as something landed hard on her gut. Preparing herself to destroy whatever had done this and woken her up, she opens her eyes to a redheaded mini version of Luke grinning at her.
"Up, Momma!"
Sighing and ruffling Ben's hair, she checks the chrono: 0800. Ben hadn't learned the value of sleeping in quite yet.
Sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes she mumbles something about impatience and Skywalkers, but says to Ben, "Alright, I'm awake, Ben. Hungry?"
He nods and she gets up. She gets Ben dressed, then herself, and heads out in search of food.

Luke and Mara arrive home after an evening with friends in the Tap Cafe. Ben is excited to see them and runs toward them with arms wide open and giggling. Mara sweeps him up in her arms and he kisses her face. Luke tousles his hair and kisses him on his forehead.
"Were you a good boy while mommy and daddy were gone?" Mara asks Ben, who nods in the affirmative. "Good."
"It's late and everyone should be off to bed. Want daddy to read a bedtime story?" Again Ben nods in the affirmative. Luke takes Ben from Mara and heads towards his bedroom.
Once there Luke puts Ben to bed. Mara follows them in. She hands Luke "Willie the Womprat", Ben's favorite book. Luke begins reading, and Ben tries to keep his eyes open, but it is a losing proposition. He is asleep before Luke reaches the fourth page in the book.
Both parents kiss the sleeping child good-night, then head off to their own bedroom. They quickly get ready for bed, each relaying their days events to the other before laying down. Mara is asleep almost immediately, while Luke lays awake thinking of the past couple of days and all that has happened. He falls asleep with a smile on his face.

Following another restless night, Luke decides to go ahead and get up. He leans over and kisses a sleeping Mara on the forehead, then gets out of bed. He goes into the living room and does some quick exercises to get the blood flowing and work out the kinks.
After a quick trip to the refresher, he towels off and gets dressed. He looks in on a sleeping Ben. After watching him for a couple of moments, Luke heads out into the Yavin 4 day.

After her morning workout and then some two-year old wrangling, Mara decides it is time for lunch. Not wanting to spend credits at the TapCaf, her and Ben enter the small kitchen to peruse the food refrigeration unit.
Opening up the unit she sees that Luke has stocked it with spiced ribenes, nerf steaks, bantha sausages, Dewback jerky, and various types of other meats.
"There are other foods, farmboy," she mutters then looks down at Ben. "I could cook you some bantha sausage, you like those."
Ben's blue eyes get as big as saucers and he fervently shakes his head as he remembers the last time she cooked his dinner.
Mara can't help but laugh. She never had much time to learn to cook, anyway. Opening the food pantry, she finds a can of vegetable soup. "Now this only requires heating, young man, and I can do that just fine."
Mara places the soup in the soul in the food preparation unit. When it's finished, they eat their soup, with Ben managing to get most--if not all--of it on his face. Mara cleans him up and they spend the rest of the afternoon watching Ben's favorite holonet shows.

Luke arrives home with what could be called a normal day behind him. Mara has prepared supper for them, and managed not to set off any alarms in the process.
They sit down for their first normal family dinner since everyone's return to the Temple. Laughter fills the apartment gentle teasing and funny faces abound at the dinner table.

After finishing up her dinner, she looks up at Luke. "Alright, farmboy, I cooked, you get dishes." A slow smile forms on her face and she says, "Try not to set off any alarms."

"Not a problem there Red." Grinning ear to ear, Luke begins to clear the table and stack the dishes on the counter. Scraping the leftovers from the plates and into the trash compacter, he then stacks the dishes in the dish sanisteamer. After all of them are loaded, Luke closes the door and starts the cycle. "All done Master Skywalker. And no new prosthetics or any injuries. No alarms either."

"No new prosthetics and no alarms went off? I need to contact the Galactic News Network with the headline: 'Skywalkers Make Entire Meal Without Bodily Harm or Fires."
