From Wookiepedia "Yavin is one of those gas giants that looks like it missed out on starhood by a very slim margin." ―Suz Tanwa Yavin Prime, also known as Yavin, was a bright red gas giant in the Gordian Reach sector (part of the Bright Jewel Oversector). Yavin is located on the backward Gordian Reach, a hyperspace route from which the sector got its name. Yavin was best known for its moon, Yavin 4, which was the location of the Rebel Alliance's base prior its discovery and near destruction in the Battle of Yavin. Of its overall total of 26, Yavin had two other moons that were habitable; Yavin 8 and Yavin 13. Aside from Yavin 7 the rest of the moons are not of significant mass, more resembling captured asteroids than moons. Yavin's atmosphere was made up of thick clouds swept about by violent, hurricane-force winds. Any craft that entered the atmosphere without benefit of a tracking beacon would quickly become lost, its pilot disoriented by the buffeting winds. It was believed these storms lasted all the way to the surface without letting up. The immense atmospheric pressure was also something to contend with, and could easily crush an unprotected ship. It was for these reasons that Yavin was chosen as the initial location for disposing of the Imperial Sun Crusher superweapon. However, the Sun Crusher's superstrong hull proved resistant to Yavin's dense atmosphere, and was quite space-worthy when later recovered by Kyp Durron. The Yavin system was conquered by the Rakata during the reign of their Infinite Empire, but later abandoned. After the Great Sith War, Yavin Station orbited the planet and was used for corusca gem "fishing" until it blew apart in 3,956 BBY and crashed on Yavin. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Baron Orman Tagge constructed Achtnak Turbine Station, hidden within the gas giant, from which he launched TIE attacks on Massassi Station; Achtnak was destroyed by Luke Skywalker. Lando Calrissian later established GemDiver Station in the giant's orbit, for the "fishing" of corusca gems. GemDiver Station was attacked by the forces of the Shadow Academy and abandoned. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Yuuzhan Vong took Yavin along with the rest of the Yavin system in 26 ABY following the capture of the Jedi Praxeum.

Takeda turns to her. "I could use your help a lot. I told you I saw the glint of something up there when we were at the temple, and that it is some sort of space station in a very close orbit. Between the sensors and the force, do you think you can find it and guide us to it?"
He turns back to his controls momentarily, looks at his status panel and throttles the engines up as they accelerate towards the red gold giant, then looks back to Cait.

Sure. Hmmm ...that might be Lando's old space station. He set one up before the Yuuzhan Vong War to fish for Coursca gems. But it was abandoned during the war as not being safe. I certainly can try.
She settles herself and gets comfortable in order to tap into the Force. She close her eyes and concentrates.

Takeda remains quiet to not disturb her concentration. Dweezel eventually and quietly reports that all systems are in good shape.
As the ship approaches the planet, Takeda takes up a medium orbit, the massive planet engulfing the view. Checking his sensors he modifies his orbit slightly and makes a full pass around the planet. Every so often he reaches over to a jury-rigged panel and presses a sequence of buttons. There is a quiet "thoomf" from somewhere deep in the ship. Shortly after each of these cycles, Dweezel buzzes out a quiet affirmation.
"I have some possible sensor hits, Do either of you have anything or if you can suggest which ones to go examine first?"

Cait reaches out with her senses through the Force to try and find the abandoned station. She feels a nudge when they pass over one area. Yes, there. She finally says and points to the area she felt the nudge. I think its there.

With no hesitation, Takeda breaks the orbital plane, and turns setting course towards where she indicated. As they approach the area, Takeda keeps checking the sensors.
"I'm reading a mass, and some faint power signatures. I think you are right."
Takeda cuts back on the power and the ship slows. He takes a few more sensor readings and then turns to Cait.
"We should be in visual range of it. Unless it is lurking just under that cloud bank. Should we head down?"

Cait opens her eyes. Yes, that is what I was sensing. I'm glad. She says with a smile.
Isn't that why we are here? Unless you want to look at the scenery? She says in a teasing tone of voice with a wink.

Takeda outright laughs at her comment.
"No, I suppose not, though it is beautiful."
Turning to Dweezel: "get those deflectors up to power, were going into the soup."
He turns back to Cait, "Hang on, oh and let me know if I am going to hit anything."
The craft descends into the cloud bank, there is a bit of a shudder but not much of one.
"Dweezel, make sure the dampeners are powered up."
Takeda throttles back on the controls as they drift through the orange and yellow mists.

She grins. Yes, it is.
She throws him a startled look. Yes, of course. She closes her eyes and reaches out through the Force to detect the position of the ship in relation to the station. You are fine so far. She says. When the ship shudders she says with her eyes still closed. That's normal ignore it. We are getting closer you might want to veer a little to the left though.

Takeda's eyes close for a moment to see if he can feel anything as well, the ship swings to the left. Feeling something, or more specifically a void in the movement of the mist, his eyes open and his hand reverses thrust.
And through the yellow and orange haze it looms at them... GemDiver Station.
Takeda slumps back in his seat and lets out the breath he was holding. "Were here... Now we just have to find a working door. It looks like the station is powered down."
After a moment he he takes a deep breath and exhales again. "I tried to feel for it... I didn't find the station, though there is something in the mist that shows it... it was like I could feel the shadow of a tree, but the shadow was the tree... Is that how you do it?"

Cait opens her eyes. Good...Are you alright Takeda? Well there should be an on switch some where. Dweezel should be able to find it.
Something like that. Living things are easier to detect because they have an actual Force presence. Non-living things are a little harder because the Force signature is fainter than with living things.

Takeda nods at her explanation. "I have been trying to practice it regularly, and in a variety of situations, mundane ones too."
"Now I suppose the next challenge is figuring out how to get into this place."
He returns his hands to the controls, and begins to move along the surface of the station. Dweezel babbles a continuous stream of distance readings. In short order they find a docking port that is in the ready position.
"I have no idea what is inside, I do have a pressure suit and helmet that could fit you."
With a gentle bump, the ship locks on to the station and seals the docking port. Takeda powers the craft down to a hum, and swivels his chair towards Cait.
"If your up for it, I'll grab you the suit, but if you would rather stay here, at least until I get on board and make sure the life support and environmental suite is up."

Hana piped up at this point, silent for the rest of the journey, which was unlike her.
"I'll go," she volunteered, "If you've got a suit for me."

Cait smiles pleased at his words. There is nothing like practice to hone your skills. The more you do it in all situations the easier it will become.
Yes, I suppose it is. There should be a place to dock around here. This was a working station before it was abandoned because of the incoming Yuuzhan Vong invasion. I believe Lando made sure cargo ships had easy access to the station so he could get his shipments out in a timely manner.
Neither do I. I have never been here before though I have heard about it from Luke when it was operation. He used to visit Lando on occasion.
I would like that. No, I'll come. I might be able to help with that. She glances at Hana when she pipes up after being uncharacteristically silent then back at Takeda. Do you have enough for both of us? If not then I will stay here.

Smiling to the both of them, "I think I do have another in your size, or at least something close enough. Let me go check and make sure it will function."
He walks out of the cockpit and opens one locker and retrieves a normal sized helmet and suit. He looks through another couple of lockers, finding another human sized helmet in one and a smallish suit in another.
He hands them both a helmet, and holds up each suit in turn inspecting not only its size but to ensure it is in good repair. He hands the taller of the two to Hana, and the smaller one to Cait.
"I doubt they will fit perfectly, or even very well, but they will function and if need be we can use strapping tape to adjust it so they fit. Mine is in the cargo bay, so if you need to you can use my quarters and the head to get them on."
