After a while the corridor opens into a large room, there are shipping containers, machinery, and assorted items scattered all about. There are large piles of gritty dust around, and many of the crates have been opened, their contents spilled out upon the floor. On the other side of the room is a dimly glowing terminal.
"Looks like the main receiving room... and pretty ransacked. Are you any good with power systems?"

Cait follows the corridor until it opens up into a large room. She looks around at the shipping containers, crates and machinery. The places looks like someone was in a hurry to leave and just grabbed what they could and left the rest. She sees the terminal on the other side of the room at the same time Takeda does.
Yes, it does. It definitely looks like they grabbed what they could then left.
She walks across the room toward the terminal the gritty dust crunches softly under her feet. Power systems? Hmmm... fair to middling. I'm not as good with machines as I'm with living things.

Takeda pokes his foot at the remainder of a security droid, then walks over to Cait. at the terminal.
"Sure did, someone shot up the droids, pretty precise work too."
He looks down at the terminal.
"Speaking of living, can you tell if there is anything living here on the station besides the three of us? I really do not want another experience of a mynock dropping on my head."

Hana looked at the terminal too.
"I'll see if I can do something," she said. "I'm pretty good with machines." And with that she started pressing buttons in seemingly random patterns, muttering under her breath, and the lights turned on, and a humming started through the base as clean oxygen hissed through the vents.
"Don't take your helmets off until it wipes away any bad stuff," she said.

Cait stops to look at the shot up droids. Yes, so I see. I wonder if it...no it wouldn't be the Yuuzhan Vong they don't use our type of energy weapons. Whoever did it knew what they were doing though.
I can certainly try. *laughs* No, I don't think I want mynocks on my head either. That sounds like it would be uncomfortable.
She moves so Hana can sit down at the terminal. She leans against a near container while she waits for Hana to do her computer magic. Go for it Hana. I know you are good at this sort of thing.
When the lights turn on and sound of air coming through the vents can be heard Cait says. Nice work. That was quick.
She then nods in agreement to Hana's advice. You got it. Don't worry I'm no hurry to suffocate. How long do you think it will take?
While she waits for the station's air supply to come up to the normal levels she closes her eyes and tries to sense if there are any other lifeforms on the station other than the three of them. She reaches out through the Force.

As the lights come up T kills the lights on his helmet, and goes to take a closer look at the "dead" droids.
"These went down to very accurate blaster fire, right through the processors or the power units. Whoever had done this new they layout and the models they expected to encounter. Judging by the piles of the dust and chips spilling out of those containers, they were here for the gems or something else. Does not look like they even attempted to take the industrial grade stuff."
Takeda starts to drag the droids into a neat pile
"At least Dweezel will be happy, he has this thing about working on droids... though come to think about it, it is pretty disturbing to watch."

Cait nods to show she is listening to Takeda as her eyes are still closed. Looters possibly after the war before the Jedi came back to the system. So you want to salvage the industrial grade gems then? She says.
When Takeda says:

Cait chuckles her eyes are still closed. I bet.
She at first doesn't feel anything in the Force then she feels a slight ripple of a presence that as soon as she touches it disappears from the Force blocking her from finding it. She frowns. Something didn't feel right about that.
Something is wrong, Takeda. I felt something but then it blocked me. We might not be alone here so keep on guard. She says opening her eyes.

"Give it about half an hour, but 45minutes to be sure," Hana said, rising. She grinned charmingly.
"All I had to do was turn the power on."
She casts out for the same presence, but can't find it.
Then again, the intricies of the Force never wre her speciality... that she could remember.

Takeda looks up first to Cait and then to Hana, as he pulls his blaster...
"I do not know if it more scary you sensed something or that it went away."
He considers to himself, if a Jedi Master and a Jedi Knight cannot sense it, it is probably a moot point for him to even try with his lack of experience.
He walks back over looking around and wondering if they have something like a broom on the station, or if he has to get the one form his ship. as he walks he notices every ones footprints in the drifts of spilled coursca dust. He thinks of this for a moment, then he takes a deep breath and relaxes. He looks to see if the coursca dust behaves like the larger crystals and has presence in the force. He smiles to himself when he finds it does...
*under his breath, but of course there is coms in the helmet*
"Well that is going to make things much easier... in several ways."
Ever so faintly, he can make out the ghostly shapes in the force presence of the dust. He stoops down, and looks carefully and thinks for a moment after finding the even more faint visible clues, he would have overlooked this had he not used his new talent.
"There is something here, it is an animal of sorts, walks on all fours, about my size. It has huge claws. It has not been down here in a while.. But I have a better idea of what has happened here.
Whoever shot up those droids, were also the ones to toss this place, at least the first time." Looking further down the hall now that the lights are on... "Someone was then through and looks like they went straight to the upper levels, there is no tracks in the dust..."
He ponders then looks back over his shoulder towards where they came in.
"At another time, another group came, they either do not wear shoes or they have claw footed armor, maybe both" he chuckles to himself "they came through and searched more, the beast seems to be about the same time, but it is hard to tell. Though some of it's tracks seem more recent than the time the others were here. It is very hard to gauge time frame, it could take days or hours for the dust to settle or centuries, it really depends on the air movement in here, and how often those storms get up this high, they might shake the station if they are really big and violent. I can't tell any better than that."
He turns back around quickly and peers down the hall, his blaster lowered but ready.
"I think I heard something... though it could be a system kicking on..."

Yes, but you found the switch, Hana. She chuckles.
Cait shakes her head. That it went away. That suggests both intelligence and ability in the Force. It was able to hide its presence in the Force. That means we can't use the Force to find it just our regular senses. And that makes me think it might be dangerous.
Cait watches interestedly what Takeda is doing. She feels he is using the Force in someway. Takeda what are you doing?
An animal? On all fours? That big? The more she hears the more concerned she becomes. She doesn't like the sound of this.
Cait nods when she hears about who shot up the droids. That makes sense.
She frowns when she hears the description of the second group. That sounds like it could be the Yuuzhan Vong. They have that type of armor. But what would they be doing here? They hate anything that is our technology or mechanical.
I would say with the air system off line it hasn't been disturbed in a long time.
Yes, I hear it too. Maybe or maybe not. I hope that is all it is but I think we better be alert.

Her hand automatically went to her sabre at the mention of the Vong. That was within her memory, it was only from 16 to 21 that she had forgotten.

Hearing Cait's explanation and seeing Hana's reaction... He backs away from the corridor leading deeper into the station.
"So I am taking these Vong things are something we should be very worried about?"
A stray shadow that moves out of sight catches his attention. He raises his blaster.
"Well, whatever it is we are going to find out soon."

I would have to agree Hana. I don't think anyone has been here in awhile. Whatever that thing is it has been here for quite awhile.
Caution would be good in this situation. I rather not have to clear coruscal dust out of our systems if we don't have to.

I don't think the Yuuzhan Vong are here now but they may been here at the time when they invaded the Yavin system and landed on Yavin IV. What is worrying me is what they might have left here after they left. From your description I think I know what it might be. I hope I'm not right. And yes they are something to be very worried about.
*Shudders* I think it might be a Voxyn. It's an abomination created to hunt down Force users. It is a very nasty creature. Strong, fast, smart, strongly armored and with deadly toxins on all parts of its body. And oh it spits acid. And when it dies if you are fortunate to be able to kill it, its blood turns into another deadly toxin.
At his words she snaps to attention and draws her lightsaber.
Oh great.

"So should I try and negotiate with it?" crackles over the com.
Seeing another shadow move he brings the blaster up as something goes snaking up a pipe in the corridor only a couple of meters from him.
"I hate the layout of this station, too many hiding places for this thi..."
The Voxyn leaps from above to Takeda just as he steps back into the room proper form the corridor. His blaster fires once into the beast's face or chest right before it impacts him sending the pair of them sprawling deeper into the room.
The Voxyn bites at his helmet once, but Takeda's helmeted head is too massive, the effect being more of an open mouthed headbutt. The creature spins off of Takeda, sensing stronger and more important prey in the room. Like a starving tiger, shoulders rolling in turn as it stalks forward, begins it's advance on the Jedi.

No, Takeda. They don't have that kind of intelligence. It is an intelligent animal but still an animal. It acts on instinct but can plan its attacks intelligently. And watch out for its tail it can pack a nasty poison sting. They are nicknamed Jedi killers for a good reason.
Yeah, I know what you mean. She sees the Voxyn just as it jumps for Takeda. Heads up! We are under attack!
She sees it go for Takeda's head but luckily for him he is still wearing his helmet. When Takeda fires his blaster it doesn't phase the Voxyn one bit and even worse it now goes after Cait and Hana. You okay Takeda?
Cait's first thought when she sees it coming toward her. Oh great! I'm going to be lunch. Her second thought is. Where is Phedra or Nick when I need them? They live for this stuff.
Just as it gets within 3 feet from her Cait crouches and then vaults over the Voxyn's head using her strong leg muscles to jump high in the air. She somersaults in the air when her head is at the bottom of roll she ignites her lightsaber she makes a vertical slash downward then horizontally left to right at the Voxyn's tail trying to cut it off, if not that at least damage it. When she completes the roll she lands lightly on her feet facing the back of the Voxyn. Her saber is raised in defense.
