The Kenobi Ranch

[Pappy-Wan Kenobi]

He sits there staring at the holocron on his desk. nodding he looks back at Luke "Well I was a kid then...and really didn't understand it much myself.....All I remember was in the middle of the night my dad took me and my mother to Alderaan....Later I found out my Father was a Jedi...and a Shadow to boot. Well evidently he was on a mission for the council. It appears masters Yoda and Windu knew there was a Sith threat and wanted it investigated....but quietly. It appears he found what he was looking for but was a little to late in getting it to the council. I have the proof here in this holocron I found in one of my fathers safe houses." He awaits the grand masters reply.

[Luke Skywalker]

"Well, we know after the fact that the Sith presence was the Emperor and Vader. What other information was he able to uncover for the Council?" asks Luke. He takes a sip of his drink.

[Johnathan Kenobi]

Johnathan walks through the door,his hood was down,his ice blue eyes looked around,his sabers were clipped to his belt,and were polished up nicely,and his cloak was straightened and formal.

John walked around the ranch,calmly and silently,he tapped into the force,searching for his family.

[Gert Yonsz-Kenobi]

She senses her son... {John, we are in the den, join us.} she says to him through the Force.

[Johnathan Kenobi]

John hears his mom's voice echo through his head,and he smiled,and stepped into the den of his parents house,noticing Pappy,Gert,and Luke he bowed deeply,"Grandmaster Skywalker,Master Gert,Master Pappy-Wan."he greeted them,and then stood up straight.He looked around,wondering what might be going on.

[Luke Skywalker]

"Greetings Johnathan," says Luke. "Are you ready for your trials?"

[Johnathan Kenobi]

Johnathan looks over at Luke,and nodded slightly,"I believe I am."he said,"I have confidence that I will make it through them,and become a Jedi Master."he smiled softly,when he said master he couldn't help but to grin,this is something that all Jedi look forward to.

[Gert Yonsz-Kenobi]

She chuckles and shakes her head. Her son has grown up to be just like his father. "Well Luke, I wanted to talk to you about that. John has sort of done things out of order just by his nature. The trials are one of skill, one of flesh, one of courage and one of spirit.

He's already the blades master, he's overcome physical hardship when he came back from the dark side, and he delt with the loss of Gabrielle to the dark side so that covers courage and flesh. The only real issue I see is him coming to term with all this like you did in the dark side cave Luke."

[Luke Skywalker]

"I agree. His failure on Carratos with the stormtroopers is bothersome. He needs to face up to it, and accept the consequences of his actions there. He also needs to be wary of falling to the darkside again." adds Luke.

[Johnathan Kenobi]

Johnathan listens to them,and suddenly memories flash into his head,of when he killed those stormtroopers,he had killed them in cold blood,just as a Sith would have.

It felt like he was there again,his blue blade was in his hand,the blue blade was activated,and he had cut through them,and beheaded the Stormtroopers,he felt cold at heart,and could feel the approach of darkness,he turned away,and ran from it..it seemed to be the smartest idea at the time.

John snapped himself out of it and spoke,"I hold myself guilty for all of my actions,Masters,if you failed me I wouldn't blame you.."he said,lowering his gaze to the ground."All I can say is that I will try--."he stopped himself,"No..it will never happen again,I promise.."he said..

[Pappy-Wan Kenobi]

"Yes....after the fact, What would you say if what he found was information and that he could have warned the council before order 66...or the fact that he knew your father Anakin was being manipulated and if they would have received it they may have saved your father from turning." He sighs deeply "I guess my point is that for to long the Jedi sit back as peace makers and bad things happen because of that. Now I'm not saying we become more aggressive or proactive. What I am saying is that if a problem arises and it appears there is no other way to solve the problem...Like with SK I say we put aside our normal tenant of trying to save him...because he is beyond saving and will just kill more and just take him out. I know this isn't popular but it is a reality. I will do as you ask but I also will remind you constantly of the peril we are in"

[Gert Yonsz-Kenobi]

She listens to Luke and her son and hears the truth behind her son's words... and his fear. "We will go to Dagobah." she says with the firm conviction of the Force guiding her words.

"Pap, it is hard for me to say this, Starkiller was my colleague and my friend. But even I can see he is beyond redemption. Like Palpatine and Exar Kun, he has fallen so far into the dark side he cannot be redeemed. At least not with anything that won't cause his death or worse." She thinks hard about her training creating a wall of light and hopes she doesn't have to use it.

[Luke Skywalker]

Luke thinks for a long time. "Woulda, shoulda, coulda. We can't live life like this. If my father hadn't become Vader, he wouldn't have been in a position to end the reign of the Sith. It is a dangerous slope that you are treading on Pappy. If my father could be redeemed, why couldn't SK? What I truly believe is that we follow the will of the Force. Trust in the Force, and it will become clear when the time is right." Luke looked off in the distance, "Sure, there is a part of me that wishes Anakin had never turned, but if I dwell on that, it becomes a form of attachment, and can lead to the darkside. I made peace along time ago with the way things are. My friend, I hope you can do the same."

[Luke Skywalker]

"That sounds like a good plan Gert," says Luke. "Have him enter the cave where the dark side is strongest. Let me know if you need anything."

[Johnathan Kenobi]

Johnathan listens to his family converse about him,and he steps back,deciding he should just be quiet and stand there.
