He smiles at her words "Good morning dear, I hope I got the recipe right." He reaches over and grabs the pot of caf and pours her a cup. He focuses on finishing the meal.

She grabs a stack and douses them in a liberal pool of tree syrup. "Could use a little more cinnamon but pretty close." She smiles and takes another bite. "Not bad though. Not bad at all."
She snags the mug of the hot dark bitter liquid she thrives on. "So what's on the agenda today? Oh, and how many people am I cooking for?"
She continues plowing through her pancakes as she listens to him.

He finishes up the last of the dishes and pans he used to cook and fixes himself a plate....taking a heaping helping of pancakes and most of the fried dewback bacon seeing as his wife says it's bad for him and pours a cup of caf and sits down across from her. "Well dear I think there are at least six people in the ATC tower...but when it gets out your cooking well....I'd say make a enough for a dozen people. Let's keep it simple how about creamy gornt barley soup, and a side of asiago bread....and some dewberry pies for desert. Those folks will be busy later today when the construction company arrives to start building the facility." and dives into his breakfast.

She nibbles her pancakes thoughtfully. "That should work. I'll throw in a side of those roasted amber root you like." She smiles as he brightens up at the suggestion. "I'd better get to work."
She gets up and grabs a very soft well laundered apron to put over her tunic and starts pulling dry goods out of the pantry off the kitchen. She then moves to the large double door refrigerator and pulls out eggs, cake yeast, cheese, amber roots, a couple of gornts, celery, onions and berries for the pies.
Always methodical, she begins by starting the asiago bread, first making the flour well then adding eggs and the activated yeast and cheese and works it into a soft ball of dough. She places this in a greased bowl and sets it aside with cheese cloth covering it. She then moves to the broth for the gornt stew by splitting both gornts and placing them in the second largest pot she has at the house and adds onions celery parsley and amber roots as well as enough water to cover the gornts and starts it boiling. Once the stock is started she peels enough amber roots to marinate in seasoned oil and puts them back in the refrigerator to soak in the seasoning. She prepares pie crust dough next, working it in individual batches for each pie. Once ready she rolls out the crusts and lays the bottoms in. Quickly she mixes dewberries, sugar, a dash of fresh nutmeg and a little cream of tarter to make the filling which she spoons into each shell. She carefully rolls the tops onto the pies and crimps their edges before putting them in the oven to bake. Done with the pies she moves on to the soup stock which is done enough to remove everything from the liquid, discard the vegetables and mince the gornt she' removed from the bones. Discarding the bones and skins she plops the minced gornt back into the pot and adds fresh vegetables as well as enough barley to thicken up the stew and turns it down on low.
Looking around she takes stock of her progress and is satisfied she's on schedule. Going over to the side counter she notes the bread has risen so she pulls it out of the bowl and kneads it until its firm and stretchy. She places her bread stones in the oven to warm up while the pies finish and pulls out the amber roots, dumps them into a large casserole dish and puts those in the oven as the pies are finishing up. She pulls the pies out and puts them on the side counter where the bread was to cool off and then pulls the baking stones out of the oven to place the loaves of bread on them before placing them in the oven to bake along with the amber roots.
Realizing she finally has a moment to take a break she flops down at the kitchen table and pours herself a mug of caf and puts her now sore feet up on Pappy's chair as she leans back. He hair is frizzy around the edges from sweat and oven heat and her face and apron have smudges of flour and berry juice but she smiles happily. Cooking is the only thing she enjoys as much as she does taking apart a ship.
She relaxes enough to wait out the timer on the bread and amber roots. When the timer goes off she gets up stirs the stew, tastes it then adds a bit of salt to it now that it's almost done and with heavy oven mitts, pulls the bread then the amber roots from the oven and puts them all on the granite counter.
"PAP!" she yells loud enough that if he's in the house he'll hear her. "COME HELP ME BOX THIS UP OLD MULE!" While she's waiting for him she gets out her thermal containers and the bread knife and starts slicing the warm bread into thick soft slices.
It's just after noon local time.

He comes into the kitchen with a small hover cart in tow. "Wow it smells wonderful dear" and he kisses her cheek. Grabbing the thermal packs he starts loading them onto the cart. "Well dear you deserve some rest....I'll take care of the lunch and construction company." turning he heads for the Stalker parked outside. he loads the cart inside and secures it then heads to the front of the ship and fires up the engines.....it's a brief flight to the ATC area and he lands and takes the hover cart inside....the assorted controllers take turns at eating and so does the ground crew.

*Sac's ship lands and the ramp comes down, Sacrifice exits the ramp and looks around boy he'd been away from Yavin way to long. Sacrifice heads to the front door of the ranch and rings the bell. He had a message to deliver and a Status update to give*

He sits at the workbench in the basement, finishing up cleaning his weapons when a soft chime goes off.....putting down his micro wrench he looks up at the display. A ship is making an unauthorized approach to the ranch. A quick visual comparison to known ships comes up as Sacrifices ship.....he shakes his head, the young one never was one for following protocol. He picks up his data pad and deactivates the turbolasers tracking the ship.....he watches as the ship lands and Sac walks down the ramp. He touches an icon and the screen morphs to 4 different views from the YVH droids on the perimeter of the compound.....their sniper rifles tracking the....guest. using the ranches intercom "Rico....Greet Sacrifice but detain him at the door for a few minutes" he finishes his repair before heading upstairs to see what the young one wants.
Meanwhile at the door Rico greets Sac "Your visit is unexpected.....please wait here as we do a security scan any aggressive moves will be met with with extreme prejudice." Rico begins scanning Sac.

*Sacrifice looks at Rico then lets him scan Sac, why he has to get scanned he doesn't know why but then again is the Kenobi Ranch, weirder things have been known to happen.*
Until recently I did not have reason to come here.... Pappy may try to preach the word of follow protocols around this place at the very least.... However I've been away taking care of jedi affairs in the unknown regions for a while and as much as it pains me to say I don't remember much about the protocols around here much anymore. What are you scanning me for? weapons? You would be better off striping me of my weapons if you doing that....
