Pap enters the cave and waits for everyone else to gather around. Looking around he get's a strange sense in the Force....there is a strange confluence going on here.

Luke follows Pappy into the cave, he stretches out with the Force. He finds confusing, unusual, but thus far no malevolent intent within the Force.
"Happy to help Pap. What do you make of it?"

She feels the deep pain and sadness this planet has experienced in the Force several years back but feels no other particularly malignant presence. She follows her husband and brother in law into the cave, curious about what they might find in there.

Mara follows everyone inside and pulls a glowrod out of her pack, turns it on its lowest setting, and shines it around the cave. "Any specifics we're looking for here? Do we need to keep our presence in the cave hidden?"

He stares down the cave....confused "I'm not really sure....call me crazy but it feels....familiar. The crazy thing is I don't ever remember being on this part of the planet before." He walks over to Gert and takes out a dozen glow rods. "OK before we get going let me tell you why we are here. Years ago I was here during the rebellion. High command got word that Vader was looking for something important here. Intel was good that he was doing this on the sly. Meaning he didn't want the emperor to know about it so he came here with only a few of the 501'st elite troopers and some mercs and made his way here. My teams job was to try to take him out." Looking at Luke he frowns "Sorry buddy back then he was the bad guy....no one knew the truth. Anyways I was about a click away and had a chance to take him out. Well one of the other squads got itchy trigger fingers and all Hell broke loose. Long story short we evaced and one of my team was left for dead here. The bad news is we left without checking on him...he survived. The good news is according to our Intel liaison Vader didn't get what he was after either. So my team mate sent me here after something interesting that he found."
He rummages around for his data pad to show them.

Luke slightly stiffens, but not because his father was mentioned, but the Emperor. He has made peace with his father a loonngg time ago. He goes over and stands by Mara. He looks at her and winks. "I forgot to bring any glow-rods, or rations. Don't suppose you packed enough supplies for two?" He grins sheepishly and blushes.
Luke waits for Pappy to pull up the information.

She tosses Luke a pack of spicy cheese crisps. "Here, this will tide you over." she chuckles a little. "How do you do, have you met my uncle the Sith Lord?" She shakes her head. "No wonder dad was so weird about my coming out party and being introduced to Palpatine. Leia said he gave her the creeps at hers. I kinda.. missed mine..." she smirks at why.

Mara thinks about what Pappy just old them. "Could it have something to do with Luke?" She looks down at the cave floor and back up again. "I remember Vader being very obsessed with finding him," she says quietly, remembering the past.
Looking up at Luke when he comes to her side she says, "Of course, farmboy. What are wives for?" She hands him a glow-rod from her pack. "Did you want a ration bar now too?"

He pulls the data pad out and hearing Luke's comment he smiles "Don't worry....I have plenty of stores...when we make camp tonight We can grill Nerf steaks." He turns the data pad on "Get a load of this...I made some mods and" pushing a button a hologram appears. It's Boomer narrating his time here and him showing the way to the strange writing on the cave wall. As he zooms in you can barely see a a thin crack...it could be a way in. Looking around "Does anyone notice the writing?" and waits for their replies a silly grin on his face.

"No thanks Red. I'm good for now." Holding his stomach and remembering the trip in from orbit. "Thanks for being more prepared than I am."
He becomes quiet as he thinks about what Mara said about Vader. His father. Obsessed. Now he is even more curious about Pappy's mission. How could he be connected to this planet? He's never been here.
Luke looks at the display. "I don't recognize it. Should I? By the way, that sounds good Pap."

"That's because they aren't really letters...or for that matter words. They are tattoos. See those are Aing Tii. See they have a strange way of communicating...but anyway the person who carved these knew only someone who would have had contact with them....and understood the symbols would be able to decipher the code. I say we head down to where it is so I can get a better look at them. I'm rusty but I think I can figure what we have here."

She looks around the cave with interest. She feels almost as through she could almost read the tatoos as Pappy calls them but knows this is just an illusion much like how she can almost understand ewoks.
