"That sounds more than fair, milady." He smiles, "I thank you deeply. What exactly is this problem in the tunnel might I ask?" Zairon ask, "Any particular supplies I should bring? Any intel I need to know?" He ask in a military manner. The odds of success were always higher when one knew what one was up against as opposed to rushing in blindly.

Good, then we have an agreement.
Don't thank me yet. Thank me if you succeed. Then I will thank you.
I'm not exactly sure what the problem is just the results.
Any worker that goes into the tunnel by themselves disappear. One minute they are there and the next they are gone. We can't find any trace of them just their tools or some part of their uniforms. It is making the miners nervous. We are going to have to shut that tunnel down and it is one the most productive. We stand to lose millions of credits if that happens. But I don't know what else to do we can't lose personnel like that it isn't good for business or morale.
Whatever it is it has to be dangerous or it couldn't overpower a miner.
Are you sure getting a gem is worth it?

"Of course its worth it." Zairon says with a smile, "You can't put a price on a heart." He says before standing up, "Besides, I'm a Knight. I can't walk away when innocent miners are vanishing and a planet is losing millions." He nods, "I'll take care of this problem, I guarantee it." He says turning.
"I take it the air-speeder can take me to the tunnel in question?" He ask. "Or be there some other way I need go?" He ask.

I had to ask, Sir Zairon.
I thank you and wish for your success.
Yes, you can use the air speeder but driver will need directions. You can get the information from my secretary.
*She gets up and come around the desk and holds out her hand to shake his hand. She looks both relieved and concerned though she is trying to hide it.*
I wish you luck and good fortune with your quest, Sir Zairon. She must be some Lady for you to go to all this trouble.

Zairon offers his own hand and shakes it, "That she is. That she is." He says "And I owe you much thanks for allowing me to do this. I'll return to let you know I've succeeded." He says before turning and heading to the doors. "See you soon." He says before walking out and heading to the front desk again.
"I need directions to the tunnel where these workers keep disappearing." He says calmly. "The extermination squad is he." He says with a smirk.

I hope she appreciates the gesture.
You're welcome. I hope so Sir Zairon.
*The secretary looks up when Zairon comes up and his eyes widen at Zairon's words.*
Yes sir. Right away sir.
*He writes down the information for Zairon and hands it to him as the Director walks up.*
*When Zairon walks out of her office she goes to her desk and writes something on a piece of paper and picks up a badge. She then walks up behind Zairon and addresses her secretary.*
Make sure to contact the mine and let them know that Sir Zarion is coming.
Yes ma'am.
*He calls the mine to give them the news.*
*She hands the Zairon the paper and the badge.*
You will need these to get into the mine. I have written an authorization for you to be in the mine. Wear the badge at all times so they know you are there on mine business.
Good luck I think you will need. I hope to see you soon.

Zairon takes the badge, papers, and directions. "Thank you very much." He says before turning and walking straight to the air-speeder. As he enters he hands the directions to the driver. "We are heading there, sir." He says.
He sits back and double checks his weapons as they head to the mines. Satisfied that his blaster, lightsaber, and other equipment is in proper working order he looks out the window and watches the scenery as they travel.
Finally they arrive. He steps out of the speeder and walks towards the cave making sure his page is visible. He shows the papers to the correct people as he enters. He unclips his lightsaber, but leaves it unactivated for the moment. Pulling a set of night vision googles out of a pouch on his belt, he puts them on and enters the cave drawing on the force to alert him of any dangers.

You're welcome.
*The director nods goodbye and returns to her office now hopeful that the problem now maybe solved.*
*The driver takes the directions and reads them.*
No problem sir. I know where this is my brother works in the mines.
*He drives to the mines.*
Here we are sir. Good luck sir. Do you want me to wait?
*The lead miner seeing the air speeder pull up walks over.*
Sir Zairon? Thank you for coming. The tunnel is this way.
*He walks toward a tunnel with a large metal gate in front of it. He uses his id badge and opens the gate. He waits for Zairon to join him.*

Zairon joins the lead miner over at the gate. "Alright, I'll go in alone from here. If I have to protect people it will just get harder." He says walking through the opened gate.
"Which why to where the miners were disappearing?" Zairon asked. "It'll save time to try and look at the last known spot than to wander around."

Understood Sir Zairon. Any information I can give you I will gladly give you. We want this mystery cleared up. I hate losing good men. Mining is hard enough without losing men for no good reason.
*He hands Zairon a hardhat with a light. Also a hand held, mini-lantern that can be clipped to the belt, a small data pad with a map of the mine's tunnels that also has a clip for a belt on it. He points to one area on the map. Then points to another place on the map. Then to one last place.*
This is where we are now, the tunnel entrance. Here is where most of the disappearances have been. The last one was here.

Zairon looks at the hard hat. "No need for that, I've got night vision googles. I'd prefer to not let light give any warnings." Zairon says. "Thanks anyways."
Then Zairon follows the map heading first to where the last disappearnce was. His lightsaber in his hands, but deactived. He drew on the force reaching out to sense anything dangerous as well as to increase his senses so as to not be caught unaware.
Drawing on the force, he navigated the caves until he finally reached where the last disappearance was. He looked around for either the threat or any clues as to what had happened.

As you wish Sir Zairon.
*He takes back the hardhat and the mini-lantern.*
Good luck Sir.
*When Zairon disappears into the mine. The miner closes the gate behind him.*
Call me when you are ready to come out I will be here.
*He sits on a stool near the gate to wait anxiously for Zairon to re-appear.*
*The tunnel twists and turns farther into the mine gems gleam in the tunnel's lights. Every once in awhile another tunnel will branch off the main tunnel.
He finally reaches the junction where most of the disappearances have been.
One part of the tunnel continues in the same direction then widens slightly and the other branches off to the right. It is deathly quiet except the sound of the slow dripping of water.*

Zairon pauses and looks at both paths. He heard nothing but dripping water. He frowned. He would have to keep searching.
Zairon continued walking through the mines, taking the wider path that continued in the same direction. Calmly, he fired his blaster down the tunnel just to see if the sound would attract anything. After he fired the shot he reholstered the blaster and gripped his lightsaber tightly.
The cave reminded him of some kinda horror movie. A single man in a dark cave with some creature running around. He chuckled at the thought.

*The blaster fire didn't arouse whatever was stalking the mines but it did disturb a swarm of firedrakes. They flew out the tunnel toward Zairon buzzing angrily for being disturbed.*
(Firedrakes were large flying proboscised insects native to Gallinore that lit up in colored light, heat, and energy. They came out of their habitat, usually caves, at dusk. The insects communicated to each other via their blinks, with short blinks indicating a summon. Firedrakes might attack anything their size or smaller while hunting. They can be distracted if you know how.)

Zaiorn swore as the creatures came swarming towards him. "Damn it..." He mumbled quickly firing his blasters as he darted away firing as he ran. However he realized there were too many and if he tried to fight them all he'd just be tired from running and have a dead powerpack in his blaster. He quickly looked around and saw a pretty good size rock about half the size of the firedrakes. Drawing on the force, he lifted it and hurled it at the head of one closest to him.
