Takeda's mind follows her last statement down the logical mental image path. With a chuckle he shakes his head repeatedly trying to clear it away. "Well, though I am not sure if I want to touch it.., Possibly it just reacts to anyone holding it... or anyone sensitive to the force... Why not ask him if I can hold the statue while the two of you converse further... If it still reacts while I am holding it, then maybe you will have a bargaining tool, that it is not a single great one but a group... At least then you can drop it on Master Skywalker's lap... err desk."
He shakes his head and under his breath "What in blazes am I thinking..."

Cait listens to Takeda's suggestion and her face brightens. Now that is a good idea. You might be right. If I understand him right I wouldn't need his permission to let you touch it. It chooses its owner. If reacts to you too then we will know that it just is reacting to a Force user. And I'm sure Luke would love to investigate this if this is possibly a Jedi item. They were here long in the past before Exar Kun's occupation and destruction of the planet. We found that out in the records we have in the Archives.
She hands him the statue and waits to see what will happen next.

Takeda gingerly takes the statue from her, as soon as her fingers leave it the glow and the pulsation stop abruptly. The eerie silence of the woolamanders is nothing compared to the utter void that now engulfs them all. Chel rolls over and sits upright. Takeda quickly thinks calming thoughts to himself as he feels several thousand pairs of eyes bore into him.
Chel looks to the Kwa then back over to the Cait then speaks to Cait telepathically "See? Blue One not Great... You Great One"
With a rather dry voice Takeda adds, "Unless you can make this thing glow while I am holding it, you should probably take it back now. I do not want to have to explain how I die to my ancestors if this goes badly."

Cait gets a rueful expression when the light and the pulsation stops from the statue when Takeda takes it. I should have known it would not be that easy.
To Chel. Yes, I see. Blue one Great one's friend. I am Great One. Then half under her breath. Just my luck.
Thank you Takeda for trying. It was a good idea. We had to know for sure. I don't think it would have come to that. She takes back the statue and it begins to pulse and glow again.
She sighs resigned. Yes, it is definitely me it is reacting to. I wonder. She says to herself when a certain thought comes to mind. No, that couldn't be it, could it?
To Takeda
I think it may be of Sidhe making. If that is true then the inscription is in the ancient language. If I can get the letters to appear I might be able to read it and find out what this is suppose to do. And what I need to do with it.
She takes out from under her tunic a small violet colored crystal on a silvery chain around her neck. It is glowing with a soft light. She starts to sing softly and both the crystal and the statue respond by glowing brighter. She stops singing and their glows diminish back to the way they were before she started singing.
Yes, its Sidhe alright.

Takeda nods, then goes over to the pedestal to look inside more thoroughly.
"What I can not figure out is why the Sith would have built a palace here if there was such a relic..." The full realization of his wandering train of thought dawns on him.
His hand stops millimeters from the surface of the inside of the pedestal, then recoils abruptly. "Woah! that is not a nice feeling, now it makes sense, well here is a theory that makes sense to me at least.
If the Sith came across a relic that they could neither use to their advantage or destroy, they would lock it away and try to diminish its effect for good would they not? So here they buried it away and tried to seal its influences. The inside of that pillar makes my skin crawl. Obviously though it was not enough, since the builders of this place decorated it in... as appropriate of style as they could. It must have frustrated the Sith to no end. Ok, maybe it is not a helpful theory..." he says with a shrug of his wide shoulders.
"So what exactly does it do oh Great One... and you thought me calling you Doc was bad."

Cait turns the statue over to look at the inscription again but looks up when Takeda tells her his theory. She walks over to the pedestal and peers inside after does his examination. She can sense the darkside that is inside. I think you may be right Takeda. It would explain why I couldn't sense it. The darkside was masking its presence. No, actually it is very helpful and accurate.
Cait rolls her eyes at the Great one comment. Don't you start. Great one from them is bad enough. Doc? When did you do that?
But I think I need to get rid of this darkside residue. It can cause problems if it is left here.
She takes out the crystal necklace again to prepare to do that.

The assembly of Woolamanders does not bother him now, seeing as he has not been encased in a maddened mob of fur... He relaxes and pays attention to what she does through all his perceptions, even his new found ones.

Cait holds out her hand that is holding the crystal. She shifts the statue to the same hand. As she starts to sing again and they both start to glow as she lays her hand over the opening in the pedestal. Her presence in the Force can be sensed as a bright light as she works.
She sketches in the air with her hand Sidhe runes of light and protection. The glow from the statue and the crystal grows brighter and brighter as the light floods into the runes she just drew in the air. The Sith runes that were embedded in the pedestal begins to pulse then writhe as light floods into them. Light and dark runes fight for dominance the dark slowly giving way to the light. The dark runes slowly disappear being replaced by the light. As they do the darkside presence diminishes and disappears as well. When Cait finishes the darkside in the pedestal has been dispelled. She puts the crystal back under her tunic and returns the statue to the other hand.
She looks up and the woolamanders are staring awed at her. She blushes slightly.
It is gone.

Takeda watches in awe with the rest of the assembled colorful folk, he tries to follow along with the words, but while some hint at familiarity, most of it is just as nonsensical to him as most of the Wookiee language. From the experience though he does take away a slightly better understanding of how the force flows while one is controlling it. He follows the ebb and flow of it between the statue, Cait's necklace, the grounds the rocks the trees, all of it. For several moments after she stops he is still seemingly in a open mouthed trance.
He closes his jaw finally and crouches, raising one hand palm up the other held in front of him (OOC Formal Roman form of discourse, with exaggerated Japanese Noh mannerisms, for those needing a better visual reference.) "I recount from ancient tale, told to me by Hei...
Great and mighty were its pillars, rising heavenwards Deep-carved were the trusses, dancing figures abound Gleaming was the dark rich wood, hewn from tallest trees Wide was its hall, to the court of the High-King thousands flock Like the mighty forest that shelters, trees rising tall So do the shining lances of the guards to receive them Pennons snap, The Crown glistens, All bow save Her. The jewel to the Throne, The High-King acknowledges his daughter To her the Spring Palace is given unto for protection."[/i] ((OOC Note: color shift denotes a change of language- sources say it is a highly archaic form of Celestial, but of course that is quite impossible since Takeda has no clue... right?))
He stands there for a moment rigid then prostrates himself in a full formal bow, as she looks around all the Woolamanders have rocked forward in a facsimile of a formal bow. He rises stiffly and returns to his previous stance.
With a snarky grin, Takeda relaxes "I always thought it was a beautiful poem, probably not the most useful but kind of uncanny." The Great-One unspoken but the grin on his big mug clearly wanting to... There are some jokes you just don't push with a Jedi Master.

Cait looks in surprise at Takeda when he starts to recite she senses that it is more than it seems on surface that he is being moved by the Force. Her eyes widen as she hears what he says she recognizes the tale from her family's history, one of her ancestors.
Princess of the Light, Lady of the Eternal song. Defender of Vala(The Powers), Protector of Right Follower of the Ainur(Holy Ones) .... She murmurs in the ancient language when he finishes.
She blushes when he prostrates himself in the full formal bow and as she looks around she sees the woolamanders have also done the same thing. Her cheeks are a pretty pink. This formality always made her feel uncomfortable. That is one of the reasons she avoided going to court unless she had no choice.
Please, Rise. This is not necessary.
She gives Takeda an amused glance when she sees his grin and he says. "I always thought it was a beautiful poem, probably not the most useful but kind of uncanny." She is more comfortable with the teasing than the bowing. Her cheeks are still very pink.
Have you? It is very old. I'm surprised that it is still known. It is in the most archaic, ancient form of Quenta. And don't say it. I can see a Great One hovering on your tongue getting ready to jump out.
Chel chatters. You are Great One.
Cait controls the urge to roll her eyes at that. Yes, Great one.

He walks past her and goes looking around to the other side of the courtyard. "Have they told you what they want or need yet?"
He walks up to a wall of the palace and runs his hands over the carving cleaning some of the dirt from them, then studies the carvings, hoping to gain some insight or clue, after a moment he turns away realizing that it is a useless prospect.
"I suppose they could move the med-lab and your office over here, these little guys might even help you with your paperwork."

No, they are not big on conversation. All I get is I'm the Great One. Not very helpful. She watches him as he studies the carvings. I doubt those would be of much help. The Sith would have tried to destroy them first. They couldn't take the chance of their slaves being freed.
When he says "I suppose they could move the med-lab and your office over here, these little guys might even help you with your paperwork."
She laughs. I don't think so. I don't think they can read. Though moving my office over here might cut down on the paperwork or make it more difficult to reach me.

"You have a point there, though if you did move your office over here they would only put in a tramway."
Walking the perimeter of the courtyard he surveys the buildings, and tries to come across anything to give them a clue.
"From what you said earlier, if the Sith or this Kuhn, had this place built, or somehow changed it. It is likely it was slaves doing the work, they would not do it themselves.
We know that that item was locked away to contain it, but even with whatever they did to that hidden vault, it still effected the people who decorated this place. Now I am going out on a ledge here, but that pedestal was cut from a solid rock. That means the carvings had to come after or at the time it was sealed... And none of these carvings on the walls have been purposefully smashed. From what I have seen of Sith buildings, they do not decorate in a cheerful style, certainly nothing like this.
I am thinking these carvings were done by the slaves, this would have angered any Sith; to have something built in honor of something than themselves. But something either made them do it anyhow, or made it worth the risk...
These carvings are arranged in quite orderly groups, they look like either a manual for some sort of dance... Dances like that have meaning... Dances like that are essentially writing. Maybe they know what these mean, or at least what it means to them. If you were going to leave a hidden instruction, your not going to put the directions in anything your enemy is going to pay any attention to."
He looks over at her, and shrugs his shoulders. "And yes, I do watch a lot of movies when in Hyperspace... well when the ship is not having issues."

Cait chuckles. I wouldn't put it pass them. They always find me.
No, this complex is older than Kun. But there was a Sith here before him if I remember the record right. Kun killed him then subjugated the Massassi that had survived from the abuses of the other Sith. *She gives a snorting sound* A Sith getting their hands dirty doing manual labor? Hardly. Everyone who were not them was a slave in their eyes.
Hmm...possibly. *She chuckles* No, cheerful is not exactly their style. Grumpy, haughty and arrogant is more them. I have yet to meet a Sith with a sense of humor. It is almost like they lose it when they turn to the darkside.
Yes, that would make sense. They wouldn't bother to do it themselves. Interesting... you could be right. I have seen many Sith buildings they don't ... hmmm how would you put it are built to impress in terms of size but are not usually esthetically pleasing or artistic. And they are certainly not cheerful. You think the slaves were trying to give a message to others that they were hiding from the Sith?
Cait walks over to look at the carvings. Yes, I see what you mean. There is a certain pattern to the carvings. Hmmm....dances...yes that might be true. She leans over to look closer and the statue begins to pulse again startling Cait into almost dropping it. I think you may be onto something Takeda. She moves the statue closer to the carvings. It pulses in a rhythm. I think this may be the key to our "manual".
She laughs when he says "And yes, I do watch a lot of movies when in Hyperspace... well when the ship is not having issues."
Do you? Well it sounds like you watched the right ones.

He scratches the back of his head, looking a little embarrassed... "Yeah, especially the Chronicles of..., oh you know the one, the guy is some sort of Professor, winds up getting dragged into all these searches for legendary relics, the guy with the hat."
He looks around a bit more, watching her work. He takes a seat on one of the stairways near her, and gets out his canteen and some snacks. The Great One comment almost including itself... "You should probably take a break and eat something, it has been a while since we left."
He takes a sip from his canteen, and then after capping it back up looks as the assembled Woolamanders. "You wouldn't happen to understand Basic at all, would you?"
