Woolmander trooper leader The Woolamander leader detaches himself from group as Cait approaches. She reaches slowly into her pouch and pulls out some fruit as a gift. She indicates to the Woolamander that she wishes to give it to him. She broadcasting friendship as she approaches him. She then hands him the fruit. The Woolamander takes the fruit and chatters at her and then moves to let her pass. She thanks him gravely but asks if her friends also may be allowed to pass. She then motions toward Takeda and Tookie then to the Woolamander indicating to it that she wishes them to let Takeda and Tookie be allowed to pass too. The woolamanders chatter nervously when they see first Tookie's and then Takeda's size. Cait sends calming thoughts to them that Takeda and Tookie are not a danger to them if they don't attack them. She then reaches slowly into her pouch for some more fruit. The fruit for passage, yes? She asks through the Force. Them friends? The woolamander ask. Yes, friends. She replies. Friends may pass. The woolamanders then move out of the way of the entrance. Cait turns slowly to Takeda and Tookie says. Takeda, Tookie its alright but move slowly don't make any sudden movements or they might panic. She then waits for them to join her.

Keeping the idea of himself small, he shuffles along slowly past the Woolamanders not looking at them. Having learned long ago that if he made eye contact with a prey species, they usually came under the assumption that he was choosing his lunch, even if he was not.
"The statues and carvings do a good job of catching their likeness."

Looking around, he is impressed by the elaborate carvings. "I have never even read about this place, so I would not have the slightest idea what is here, though that over there looks interesting..."
He walks over to a pedestal that is almost a meter high and pulls the debris off of the top of it. "I have seen something like this before, though not quite as nice looking. You mentioned the Sith before, I have only ever heard that term used among my own people. They came to our world almost 5,000 years ago, they were in a remote corner of the planet. They destroyed or subjugated some of the clans that were near them... That is why the architecture looks familiar, I have seen buildings in this style before. "

I have heard of it from Luke. But I had never been here until we moved the Temple to Yavin.
She follows him over to the pedestal. Yes, they were notorious for that. They thought they were destined to rule the galaxy and all other races should be subject to them.
She looks interested when he says he seen buildings in that style before. Have you? On your homeworld?
She bends closer to look if she can see if there are any inscriptions carved into the pedestal. This much like the Old Massassi Temple back at the Temple complex. I think this one of the satellite temples Exar Kun set up to help maintain his power though I don't think he actually had them built. He just used what was already here.

He nods running his hands over the stonework. "Legend has it these short pedestals are actually altars. Who knows if it is true, but the images on these are certainly far more cheerful than the ones I have seen before."

Indeed? Altars? She looks even more interested.
Hmmm I wonder. It might be too long. She says half-to herself. Sorry, thinking out loud. Yes, they do seem much more cheerful.
She walks around the pedestal/altar to see if she anything else that might give them a clue to what it was.

He looks around, then not knowing this planet well enough to now its axial tilt and the travel of the sun across the sky... "If your looking for a hidden catch it would most likely be on the southern side, though it might be totally different here than the ones at home."
He wanders over to look at the carvings on one of the small stairways leading to a building. He briefly looks at the Woolamanders overhead, and chuckles thinking they mimic the carvings well.

Cait looks up startled and intrigued. A hidden catch? No, I wasn't looking for one before but I will now. Southern side you said? She circles around until she on the south side of the pedestal. She lightly runs her hand down the side of the pedestal searching both by touch and Force for a hidden catch or indentation that would indicate one. Half-way down she feels something and pushes gently, she is rewarded by a gentle click. And hidden panel slides to one side revealing the hidden compartment. I found it! She feels around but nothing is there except a small green stone statue of a woolamander. There are some faint markings on the bottom that could be writing of some sort. There was nothing in there except this. She pulls out the statue and shows what she found.
What do you think Takeda? As she hands it him to look at it. What could this be for? I wonder why it was hidden. It suddenly pulses with lightside energy that hadn't been there until she touched it. That's odd. She murmurs to herself.
When the statue starts it pulsation abruptly the woolamander calls cease and there is a total silence.

He walks over to take a look at what she found and to see if the altar is laid out like any he is familiar with. As she hoists the statue out and holds it up to show it and examine it herself, he nods approvingly
"Nice find! I wonder wha..."
His sentence cuts off as even he feels the pulse. He rapidly looks around in the expanding silence, The woolamanders are not running away, they all sit watching her and the statue intensely. More of them arrive from out of the nearby jungle and take up positions around the tops of the courtyard and join in. Takeda thinks to himself this is like watching a stadium fill up for a pod-race... He just hopes they are not here to see the crashes.
Walking up beside her he whispers in the silence, "Ummm Cait, what did you do?"

Thanks, but I wouldn't have known where to look or have found it without your help Takeda. Feeling the pulse she says startled. What in the...
She then notices the gathering of Woolamanders. Their silence is deafening, unnatural for them. It is has if they are waiting for something to happen. She doesn't feel any hostility from them as of yet just an air of waiting.
I don't know, Takeda. I just touched it. I'm surprised as you. This is more than it looks that's for sure. It is giving off lightside energy now. Can you see anything on it that looks familiar?

Without touching it, he bends over and walks around examining it from different angles. He notices the markings on the bottom, but they are faint and he shakes his head. "I do not recognize them, let alone know what they might mean."
He turns and looks at the assembly around them. "Maybe you should ask them what needs to be done, It looks like they know what is going on to some degree."

She turns it over and looks at the markings on the bottom. They look vaguely familiar but they are so faint I can't make out what they say. As she continues to hold the statue it now begins to give off a faint glow.
She considers what Takeda suggests. I don't know. They might. I guess it won't hurt to try.
She searches the crowd of woolamanders for the trooper leader that she had communicated with before. When she locates him in the crowd she reaches out through the Force to ask him what is going on as she does the statue glows brightly and gives off a large pulse through the Force. Startled Cait almost drops it. Wha...
The woolamanders erupt with excited calls. Some of the younger ones jump up and down. The Troop leader comes out of the crowd and drops down in front of Cait to lie on ground at her feet. He answers through the Force.
Great one call? What is wish of Chel? Cait blinks from surprise. Now that was unexpected. She thinks. Why you come, Chel? She finally asks.
The woolamander looks confused and answers. Great one call Chel come. What Great one wish?
Oh boy, why me? I try to avoid this at home but whether I like it or not this always seems to happens to me. Colin would be falling over laughing if he saw this. Cait thinks ruefully.
Great one wishes to know why Chel's people come? What needs to be done with this? Cait finally says hoping that the woolamander understands. She shows him the statue.
He backs up seeming almost frightened. We come see Great one. It choose Great one. We follow Great one.
Looks at him trying to puzzle out the meaning of that. She is not sure she likes where this is heading.

Takeda stands there, not quite sure of what is going on, and watches with interest as the one woolamander steps forward and flops at her feet.
"Should we be nervous or is this fairly normal for Jedi?"

Cait softly to Takeda. This is the one I talked to before who let us in the Palace. His name is Chel. I think he is their leader.
If I understand him right he thinks the statue has chosen me as someone he is calling Great one. They are here to see who it chose. He also says that they follow the Great one.
No, I don't think we need to be nervous. I don't we are in any danger at least not right now. Her face gets a rueful expression.
No, this not fairly normal for most Jedi. *sighs* Just me it seems. I think it comes from my Sidhe heritage. Other races recognize us as part of their legends and myths even after all this time as their leaders or gods. She makes a face at that.
The question now is what to do about this. I can't have the whole woolamander population trying to live at the Jedi Temple it would disrupt things and not be good for them either. I just not sure what to tell him yet.
