The Red Hills were a natural formation on Dathomir, and home to the Red Hills clan of the Witches of Dathomir.

Midelis, Servent to the House of Malreaux Flying over the Red Hills into the surrounding desert between the Prison and what was the Singing Mountain clan stronghold was what they were looking for. Nestled in a tar pit half submerged, was the Chu'unthor the ancient Jedi teaching school. Over 2,000 meters in length and 1,000 in width it was a massive feat of engineering. Used in the Old Republic as a traveling Jedi Academy it had crash landed where it lay since 340 BBY. Landing the transport near the Chu'unthor at a safe distance, the soldier droids are alerted to prepare for disembarkation. With only 10 Yuuzhan Vong hunter droids and 10 super battle droids in the crew, Midelis was prepared for just about anything. With that in mind he set off to the boarding ramp and the waiting security detail. Setting foot on the ground, Midelis protected with a box formation of 2 YV and 2 SBDs made his way to the partially submerged Chu'unthor. Using his incredible high torque pistons, he made the jump over the jar pit to land on the portside outer hull region of the corroded ship. Accessing the boarding hatch and jumping into the darkness, he finds himself in a long hallway. Choosing a direction, he heads to the bow of the ship, passing rusty, dust filled rooms of varying stages of disrepair. Always on the lookout for a problem in the bulkheads. Stopping in a room with an observation dome, he looks up and decides what he has seen was enough to continue as planned. Using his internal comlink he ordered the unloading of supplies and for the construction droids to be brought on-line.

Midelis on board the transport they had arrived in, sat over looking reports from the mission.
The first reports on the Chuunthor, from the construction droids were good. They had found most of the outer hull and inner bulkheads were intact and of easy repair, the rest would need extensive time to repair and refit. Figuring it best to use the parts that were better suited to his mission, Midelis ordered that portions of the portside of the ship to be reinforced and made safer. With the addition of scanner jamming equipment and some disguising of the entrance, no one would be the wiser of anyone even being there.
Having brought an two old power cores off an old corvette to power the electronics and security of the ship, things would move swiftly once placed where needed to go. Then utilizing the old equipment on board ship with scanning and comm systems they had brought they would have a powerful Comm/scan cluster that rivaled those aboard SDs. So by the end of the week things should be well under way.

Two weeks later..... Slowly the repairs proceeded as planned, armor plating was added to the inside of bulkheads strengthening the outer hull in case of attacks. Wires were replaced through out the portside section of the ship all the way to the bridge and engine room where the power cores were being installed. The entire portside was shielded against scans with sensor jamming equipment. Secret hatches on the outter hull were being made for defensive laser turrets and shield generators as added protection. The surprising thing was the striped out room just off the boarding ramp, which was converted into a small hanger bay capable of fitting a squadron(12 star fighters for you that don't know ) and room left over for 2 transports if needed. Midelis had the YV hunter droids make routine patrols in the surrounding area, also adding low grade detection sensors as a first line of defense. The sensors were nothing fancy, just low power output sensors with holo-image devices attached. They contained thermal, motion detection and were capable of detecting close transmissions in the area. They remained dormant until the motion sensors detected something and relayed a holo-image back to the secret base. Inside construction droids where hard at work, resting only to recharge their batteries and receive maintaince. With Human crews arriving at prescribed times, they would be the ones commanding the station when it was completed, so were there to get situated and learn the daily routines. The outside having been left completely alone to disguise what layed underneath, was pretty much as what it always looked like. Those that got to close would see nothing but the wreckage of an ancient ship, half submerged in a tar pit.

Four months later.....
The finishing touches were now being done completing the safe house. After months of non-stop work, the portside section of the Chu'unthor was done. Housing a total of 50 human crew(pilots, techs, medical and command staff) and a mixture of 160 droids (40 YV Hunter models, 120 Super Battle droids). Now in residence, it was time for Midelis to go report to Volk of the completion of this mission and to return home.
After all was said and done, the base included a small hanger bay off the boarding hatch with room for a squadron of star fighters (12 ships) and two transports(Sentinel class or smaller) . A small medical bay, a command room, power core/engineering room, kitchen/mess hall and quarters for the crew.
The Commander was given orders to operate as a secret rebel cell, preforming scouting/information gathering missions to the near by planetary systems. Over all mission was to keep the base secret and pass along important pieces of info that might be useful to the GJO and more importantly to Volk especially.

Finished Midelis broads the waiting transport and lifts off, his work was done. Knowing his Master as he does, that wont last longer than he gives his report and he would be off again somewhere.
Lifting off the ground the transport slowly gains altitude and enters the atmosphere heading into orbit.
