Dark Side Cave

The Dark Side Cave was a cave on Dagobah corrupted by dark side energies.

Hundreds of years before the Clone Wars, the Jedi Minch battled and killed a powerful Bpfasshi Dark Jedi, and his energies absorbed into its surroundings, first tainting the passage with the Dark Side.

Later during the Clone Wars, Yoda had a vision of the Dark Side Cave during one of his meditations. In this vision, Qui-Gon Jinn guided a nine-year-old Anakin Skywalker into the cave to face his fears, telling him the same thing Yoda would tell Anakin's son Luke years later.

During the Great Jedi Purge, Yoda realized that proximity to the Dark Side cave could help neutralize his strong Light Side Force signature and took up residence near the cave and lived there for the next two decades, through the reign of the Galactic Empire.

When Luke Skywalker traveled to Dagobah to train with Yoda in 3 ABY, the elder Master tasked him to enter the cave. Luke confronted an illusion of Darth Vader within and defeated it in a lightsaber duel, dipping into the passion of the dark side in the process. It was there that he realized what would happen if he turned to the dark side of the Force. Behind the mask of Darth Vader, he saw his own face. It also presaged the revelation that Vader was, unknown to him at the time, actually his father, Anakin Skywalker.

Five years after Yoda's death, Luke Skywalker returned to the cave. This time, he had a vision of a possible past, one where Mara Jade accompanied Jabba the Hutt's retinue to the Sarlacc. She was able to pull Luke's lightsaber away from him, and Luke was pushed towards the Sarlacc when his vision suddenly ends. While in the cave, he found a beacon left behind by Jorj Car'das.

In 14 ABY, the dark side power of the cave was siphoned by the Disciples of Ragnos. This supposedly removed all of the dark energy, but it presumably returned to its source when the Scepter of Ragnos was destroyed or otherwise somehow regenerated itself. In 22 ABY, Anakin Solo, Tahiri Veila and Uldir Lochett entered the cave after Anakin had a recurring nightmare of becoming the infamous Darth Vader. There, Tahiri encountered a vision of her parents and grandfather, and Anakin faced the manifestations of his own doubts. The two both emerged victorious. Uldir, however, encountered nothing in the cave but vast emptiness.

Other Force-sensitive beings to enter the cave include Tash Arranda and Zak Arranda.

[Gert Yonsz-Kenobi]

She walks slowly up to the cave. It's on of her least favorite places in the galaxy. Spike lowers his head and growls then chufs at the cave and looks up at her, a quizzical look in his eyes.

[Johnathan Kenobi]

He looks at his parents again.

"I..feel..dark here.."he said to them.

[Pappy-Wan Kenobi]

His hands clinch into fists....a tick he has had from youth when he senses danger....the strange thing is it's not coming from the cave. He tries to settle himself and draws on the Force to calm himself.

[Gert Yonsz-Kenobi]

Gert nods. "Yes, that about sums it up. You'll need to go in, confront it. You won't need your weapons."

[Johnathan Kenobi]

Johnathan had already figured it out,he was walking up to the cave,when he looked at his mother,he almost laughed at her.He wasn't about to walk into something unarmed.

Johnathan tightened his belt and walked into the cave,taking a step through the cave he glanced around,and he suddenly felt cold and dark,as if all the happiness had been taken from the world,there was so much force power here that there was a dark fog clouding around him.

Then John saw him,there standing opposite of him was a cloaked figure,wearing all black.The man held a lightsaber in his hand,the blade came to life,it was a deep red,and it called out to the darkside,it made Johnathan quiver.

John unclipped his saber holding it in his right hand,the yellow blade came to life,and just as it did,the rogue sith attacked him,slashing from Johnathan's left shoulder to his right hip,then attempting to stab him in the chest,straight through the center.

Johnathan held his blade up perpendicular to the ground with his body tilted,he held his blade in a two hand grip,and by being in the stance,he simply pushed at the on coming blade,pushing it up and to his left,then he ran directly at him,slashing his saber at his forearm,attempting to cut off the man's hand,his handy display of swordsmanship worked,the mans arm fell off.

John saw what he did,he had been quick to be aggressive,just like that time with the Stormtroopers,and the Empire.He pulled back the man's cloak,and just as he thought,it was him,it was the thing he feared to become,a Sith.Johnathan would rather die than be one,and as he stood there looking on,he wasn't so scared anymore. Johnathan wanted peace in the galaxy..and for him to get that..he would have to say no to fighting.

The man slowly faded off into the shadows of the cave,Johnathan stood there not paying attention to anything accept the fact he had done something wrong,he understood now,that he depends on his lightsaber too much,that what he needed to depend on,was the force.The force was his greatest asset,and his best weapon,it would fuel him when he was starving,it would guide him if he were lost,even without lightsabers,blasters,and swords,he still had one thing most people don't have..The Force..and the will to accept that he's always learning.

Johnathan sighed,and turned away from the cave,his ice blue eyes glowed with knowledge as he trailed out,he was growing tired,he looked at his parents and sighed,"I understand it now."he said,"The whole point of this was so I would be at peace with the darkness within."he looked back at the cave,his eyes glowed softly,"I'm a Jedi..my strength flows through the force,and it is my duty to instill peace no matter what the situation.."he said.

Johnathan bowed to both of them,"Thank you,Mom and Dad..for taking the time to teach me the ways of the force."he said to them.

[Pappy-Wan Kenobi]

He puts his hand on his Son's shoulder...."I'm proud of you...not just as your father but as a Master. Coming to grips with our inner darkside is not an easy thing. Much as I had to confront the demons of my past in the rebellion you have come face to face with yours and handled it admirably. I think you are ready to move on and become a Master"

[Gert Yonsz-Kenobi]

She nods. "Unless Luke has any objections, that should cover the training you require. John, the dark side is always there, always ready to tempt, to seduce, it's how you handle that temptation makes the difference." She smiles briefly. "I'm proud of you son."

She then cocks her head. "We need to get back to the ships."

[Johnathan Kenobi]

Johnathan smiles to them both,"Thank you,again..I couldn't have done it without your guidance."he said,then he felt a disturbance in the force,and didn't say anything,he picked up a steady pace,and began to run towards the ship.

[Pappy-Wan Kenobi]

He coms VH to get the stalker warmed up and back to where the rose is....There's always fun to be had it seems, as he jogs behind Gert and John.
