The trip seemed to take forever from Kamino to Geonosis. The holds were alive with a ordered chaos of troopers running to the L.A.A.T's and the AT-TE's. He watches his " brothers " scurry to their posts. He feels many emotions in himself all at once... nervousness, trepidition, excitement and fear as he sits in a bay on a LAAT with 3 other Commando's.
Suddenly from the corner of his vision he spots a short elderly green creature using a cane to walk get helped onto a LAAT by an officer. He muses at the thought that the creature is deceiving in his looks and could hold it's own in battle if need be. Then the alarm blares through out the ship . He stiffens as his training comes into full effect. His Commander a NCO named Duster goes on their private lines and says " This is the real deal boys..we get inserted onto this rock 3 Clicks from the objective. Our purpose is sabotage and elimination of any and all unfriendlies that cross us." The team nods in acceptance of their orders as the huge doors of the hold open and the L.A.A.T's begin their descent to the rocky arid planetary surface.
Their pilot is a capable one and he is thankful for it as he jumps off the L.A.A.T with his team and they start their 3 click run to their objective point.They enter a catacomb and meet minimal resistance dropping the Geonosians with heavy weapons fire. He toes one of them and mutters " Damn insects.." the rest of the team chuckles and Duster motions them forward to a huge steel door. "Slice it Cam " Another Commando steps up and uses detonator tape on the seams of the door as the unit takes cover behind rocky out croppings. The door implodes with a deafening boom and they run into the room in a tight formation blowing up a mix of battle droids and Super battle droids in the process.
" Jango download what you can while we hold here and set the self destruct sequence afterwards." He downloads the info and sets the self destruct timer as warning claxons suddenly sound. The unit starts to withdraw but as they exit the catacombs they are met by a horrific scene ...War is taking place vehicles and ships and troopers are everywhere.. Jedi are leading troopers into heated battle zones and death claps it's hands from the sidelines..
" My God " proclaims Kino and the others as they see the horrible things taking place in front of them..Duster berates them into action again as they start there long hike back to a command and observation post. All is well until a unit of droids spots them and engages them. After the smoke clears Jango is the only one left in his unit.He returns to a command post and reports to a Jedi being called General Windu. " Sir , mission accomplished . He salutes and hands over the data to the General that looks at him and nods . " You did well Commando . Your team mates ..." Jango replies emotionlessly " Dead sir, I'm the only survivor." General Windu nods with a sad look on his face and tells him. " I feel your loss soldier, and will see you get promoted for the success of your mission.Stand here with me for the time being." Jango salutes and falls into place near Gen.Windu.
Within hours the battle has been won by the GAR as drop ships pick up all surviving weaponry and soldiers and return them to their ships for places unknown for now. Jango is debriefed and commissioned into the ranks of the A.R.C. Troopers, Now his isolation is even more so. His pod brothers killed in their first day of combat, but he lived and has proven he is made of much sterner stuff then anyone believed.....
