Tatooine Outskirts

[Jade Albright]

This is the dessert lands of Tatoonie. Be Careful when treading here. Life is one step away from death. The creatures here are vicious. There are horrible sandstorms and treacherous quicksand. The weather is burning during the day and icy at night. There is little shelter and even less water.

[Tookie Binks]

At the beginning parts of the outskirts from Mos Eisley, Tookie and Jade come across the hut that the old woman pointed them towards. The simple mud and bantha-hide shelter is little refuge from the elements but enough to survive. Tookie walks to the simple door, that is nothing more than a stretched and tanned piece of bantha-hide and opens it up for Jade and gives a goofy smile. "Ladies first, Masta Jade."

~She reaches out in the force and nods.~

Thank you Tookie.

~She walks into the bare hut and feels the essence of Glow every where. She touches stuff trying to get a reading. but it is too muddled and muted. She gives a soft whimper.~

She is every where but it is not strong enough Tookie.

"Whosa... yousa mean Glow?" Tookie asks in amazement, he has no idea how much the Force is guiding them. Its obvious that Tookie's feeling in the cantina was right, without being there they wouldn't have found a woman who could lead them to Glow let alone know Glow. "Dis is nutzig!"

Tookie begins to look around the hut at everything laying around, not much in the way of belongings and more in the area of survival items. Tookie then makes his way over towards the two cots near the back of the hut, one looks freshly slept in and the other is made. Tookie sits down on the made bed and continues to turn his looking around the hut. "Dares gotten to be sumtin mores..."

Tookie stops and looks straight ahead for a moment, closes his eyes, and decides to focus on the Force and stretch out with his feelings. He can sense his thoughts becoming in tune with the Force and all its messages, the Force speaking to him and guiding his movements. Suddenly, Tookie's eyes open and he doubles himself over and peeks under the bed. To his surprise, a small black metal box sits towards the back. Tookie reaches for it and drags it towards him. Sitting back up, Tookie calls out. "Masta Jade, mesa foundies sumtin."

Tookie opens the box to reveal a flawless Ankarres Sapphire. "Oh mesa... dats luberly!"

~She watches Tookie and her eyes clear as she centers her self. She gasp as he pulls out the Ankarres Sapphire.~

Oh lovely.

~She floats it from his hand to hers. The moment it touches her glowing fingers she lets out a gasp of shock. Her eyes swirl with silver and green as she sees outward in the force. She hears a heartbeat and realizes it is not hers. It is strong if a bit fast. She smells scents and knows they are not from this hutt. She draws in a breath and looks down. The fingers are not hers not are the clothes. She gives a smile knowing it is Glow.~

She is alive Tookie, I feel her, but where?

~She tries to look around and further, but just then Glow gasped out and her hands tighten. She forced Jade out of her head and Jade cries out in pain. She falls to her knees. She trembles in pain but does not let go of the necklace. She moves carefully and puts it around her neck. Then she curls into a ball softly whimpering.~

"Masta Jade!" Tookie says as Jade falls to the ground in pain. He rushes to her side and puts a hand on her shoulder, shaking her to get her attention. It doesn't seem to be doing any good and to make matters worse a sudden voice calls from outside the hut.

"JEDI! GET OUT HERE OR THE OLD WOMAN DIES!" the voice yells clear as day. Tookie looks at Jade and realizes she is in no shape to fight. He leans down and whispers in Jade's ear.

"Yousa stays put, mesa be rightens back." Tookie says as he then rises and heads outside. When he opens the bantha-hid door, the Gungan spots a six thug-looking types. They consist of three humans, one of which is hold the old woman from the cantina at blaster point, two Weequays... and a familiar Gammorean that are all armed. Tookie steps out slow out onto the hot sand and does so slowly. "Heyo-dalee, howsa mighten I be helpin yousas?"

The human male holding the old woman steps forward and by the sound of his, he's the one that yelled out. "Are you the Jedi that made a fool of my friend Grok in the cantina?"

"My notten makin him lookie like fooly, hesa attackined a woman in dat place." Tookie says as he scans his surroundings, he realizes he is a bit out numbered but he's not afraid. "My could ave killed im but mesa let im lib."

"Big mistake there, my green friend." the human says. "You see, Grok here works for me and I work for Black Sun... and the Black Sun doesn't take insults lightly. So, where's your friend... the hot red head in the green cloak?"

~She shivers in pain as the visions of SK and Glow bombard her. She can sense something is wrong here in the hutt. She barely hears Tookie and her eyes see him leave. She rolls over trying to move. ~

He is coming SK is coming.. Luke..
LUKE CAN YOU HEAR ME..

~She shivers.~

Tookie no ,no must help him..

~She begins to crawl along the floor. Pausing too breathe.~

Please force.

~She reaches the door and forces herself to stand. She sense death from these ill bred men. She pulls as much of the force to her as she can.~~

You want me come and get me.

~She screams out and the clouds cover the sky and lightning strikes as she cast Force storm on the men. She gives a cry of pain, and sinks too her knees. She hears the cries of pain from the men, but can't do anything more. She sends out a thought before the blackness claims her.~

Forgive me Tookie I am too weak to help you.. You must.. warn Luke about this. SK is coming he is so mad.. We must let them know..
~Her body sinks to the floor as blessed peace claims her.~

Taking the advantage of the thugs being distracted, Tookie reaches out with the Force and pushes the thuggish human holding the old woman and sends him flying into a one of his human associates. Tookie quickly collects the old woman and moves her towards the hut. "Gettins inside!"

A sudden squeal draws Tookie's attention and he spins around, activating his lightsaber, quick enough to see Grok, the Gammorean from the cantina, running at him with his vibro-ax raised and ready to strike. Tookie side steps the Gammorean's attack and severs the head of the ax off before kicking the Gammorean in the jaw and knocking him out. Tookie then crouches low, holding his saber at a slight angle in front of him with the handle near the level of his mouth. The green blade of his lightsaber seems to highlight his skin in the darkening skies and without warning a lightning strike from Jade's Force storm hits the ground between Tookie and the remaining thugs.

With Jade passing out the storm begins to die down but Tookie doesn't release his defensive stance. "Yousa better leeb now befores yousa makin me use dis on yousas."

The human leader gets up and dusts himself off, looking at Tookie with anger in his eyes. He knows he can't win against the Jedi and resents it. "You haven't seen the last of us, Jedi."

"Next times, yousa might notten be so lucky." Tookie says to the thugs, who promptly collect Grok and begin to skulk away to lick their wounded pride. Tookie can sense the ill feelings inside them as the move away and Tookie slowly backs up towards the hut. When he gets there, he opens the door to find the old woman helping an unconscious Jade. "Is shesa bein okieday?"

"She's not responding to anything, what happened to her?" the old woman asks.

"She saw yousa friend in a visionies, yousa friend is a Jedi wesa came to find." Tookie tells the old woman. "Shesa said dat Glow bein alive before she feel downs de first time."

"Can't you help her, you're a Jedi aren't you, can't you use some oobidoob magic trick and help your friend?" the old woman inquires.

"Disem beyond mesa skills, mesa can only heal small tings." Tookie says realizing what he has to do next. "Mesa be needin to gettin Masta Jade back to mesa skeebeetle."

Tookie then grabs Jade and cradles her in his arms as he then carries her out the hut and back towards the Mos Eisley. The old woman looks on in shock as Tookie thanks her and then races off with the aid of the Force back into the city.
