Name: Galo Thriven
Race: Human male
Age: 28
Faction: no faction, but will be a Silver Knight
Force Sensitive: Yes
Appearance: Wears a long black bantha overcoat. Black hair combed back neatly. Grey eyes. Some would call him handsome, he has a military baring and is quiet.
Personality: As a Silver Knight his goal in life is the eradication of everything Darkside. While trained as a Jedi, he follows his own set of rules as he feels the Jedi are unprepared to deal with true darkness. A loner at heart, he goes at things alone preferring his own company, although he will team up with someone if it suits his purposes. He is strictly light side oriented, and will never falter from it.
Weapons: twin duel phase blue to blue lightsabers. A heavy blaster carbine he keeps strapped to his side, hidden by his overcoat.
History: Born on the planet Coruscul in the Core Regions, he spent his early life after the death of his parents, learning from his grandfather about the ways of the Silver Knights. While Silver Knights were a sect of the Jedi Order they did things their own way. Since training he was taught to obey the Jedi Council, but was also taught to think for himself.
Given training taught to all Jedi, he learned things like lightsaber dueling, basic Force Powers, Jedi history and most importantly skills sets that didn't rely on the Force. Things like tracking, survival techniques and small unit tactics which he considered more important in the long run.
Role play Experience:
In a conference room with the family Skywalkers, he tried to explain to Luke and Mara that while they might have an inkling of what the Darkside was. They truly were deluding themselves in believing they actually knew everything about it.
"Luke, i know you like Mara served the Emperor for a time, be it a small time for you and while with her it was longer, it was only a taste of a small portion of it. Mara served the Emperor as one of his Hands she was given the same taste. There is no Darkside taint in her just for the simple fact that she didn't do the things for her own gain....."
It was hard to explain the Darkside to others when they had their own version of what the Darkside was. How does one explain so they understood better?
"You will argue that just doing things for him will cause a taint in someone, but look at it this way. Think on the hard choices life will throw on your path. Say you came across a robbery, one man robbing another one. What would you do if you had come across such as scene? "
One had to think clearly, view all the choices as a whole. He himself in his youth had come across such a scene, and in his haste to protect-- he chose wrong. In helping the one getting robbed, the other attacked him for the simple fact that he had been trying to save his family. A gangster had forced him to commit the robbery or his family would pay the price. Did that make that man evil or tainted for committing the robbery?
