Weapons: Verpine shattergun given by Kal Verd, blaster pistols, blaster rifles (particularly X-45 Sniper Rifle), vibro-knives

History: Crystal Starr Light was born and raised on Obroa-Skai with her mother, Giiselle Noth, actor/model/movie director, and father, Reed Light, actor/writer until her parents divorced (due to Reed's abuse, alcoholism, and anti-social personality disorder) when she was almost 12. After the divorce, Crystal hopped between both parents' homes until she was sent to a junior military academy for spreading rumors about an instructor. There she excelled and earned a place among an elite all-male group, called "The Bucks", where she met Nick Owabi and Stymie. She garnered the reputation for being belligerent, moody, tomboyish, impulsive, dare devilish, and quite the charmer.
Crystal graduated the Academy at the top of her class (the only female to do so) as second-lieutenant and was assigned to Garqi on a routine mission. There, she completed the assignment but exterminated an entire town because of some sexist remarks. Her superior officer, Lieutenant Burges, had her court-marshalled and reassigned to a more sedate station on Bastion.
On Bastion, Crystal met and hastily married a man named Brev Drayson, a highly educated, successful business owner. But the marriage didn't even last a year, due to a heated dispute over children. Crystal left after discovering she was pregnant (she figured that Brev had tricked her into getting pregnant) and filed for divorce. Brev repetitively tried to shoot down the divorce until Crystal turned to Reed for support. Reed aided the divorce, but at great cost to Crystal. No one is sure of what happened to the child, whether she brought it to term or not. She determined thereafter to never love again and focused on her military career, quickly rising to the rank of General in part to her aggressive tactics. However, she could never revoke the need for male companionship. She met Galen Balbri, a former military general himself 27 years older than her and married him. Their marriage only lasted a few years, however, when he died in a pirate raid. Because of his extreme older age (and her realization that she married him for the wrong reasons), she often keeps this marriage secret.

Is it okay to slightly change my character? I've a new idea for a story for Crystal, one I've never had the chance to explore before. This is what I would change:
