Luke has entered hyperspace, returning from a meeting with Paymon. He has agreed tentatively to an alliance with him. He must now convince the Council that this is the way we must proceed. He thinks about the incident on Carratos, and wonders how deeply the corruption runs. He settles in for the trip through hyperspace. He closes his eyes and meditates in the Force.

Luke: "Then I am alone. I am the last of the Jedi."
Obi-Wan: "Not the last of the old Jedi, Luke. The first of the new."

Luke: "There is no magic wand to make everything better—not even for a Jedi."

Luke: "Patience is a virtue."
Mara: "Never had much use for it myself."
Luke: "Yes, I've noticed."

The countdown from hyperspace begins.
