Nick is about to respond to Colin and the others when he suddenly feels a dark chill and looks up at the sky. Sensing something immdediately wrong, he looks at Cate and Kaden. "You guys stay here. Get inside the Temple. Something's going on, I'm going to go find Luke." Without waiting for an answer or reply from anyone, he bolts for the turbolift and rides it down to the main level. Once the lift stops, he runs out of the Temple and hightails it to the main Temple to find Luke.

Cait feels the same sudden chill as Nick and looks at Colin who has stiffened also.
Something is wrong. We need to get to safety. Nick's office should be safe enough. *Cait and the others run into the Temple's interior and safety. They ride the turbo-lift to Fleet HQ floor and the command center and Nick's office.

Nick quietly enters the Massassi Temple and makes his way to the turbolift. Riding up to the Fleet HQ floor, he steps out and goes down the hallway towards the command chamber. Stepping into the room, he then sees Cait, Colin, Aine and Kaden and the kids all waiting on him. He smiles when he sees Colin looking at the sword and shield. "I'm back now. Sorry about running out like that. Had a talk with Luke and everything appears to be okay, for now." Kaden walks up to him and gently hugs him. "You sure everything is okay? We heard through the comms that the Fleet was mobilized up in Orbit." Nick smiles and nods his head. "Yeah, everything's okay up there. My sister's got things well under control."

Cait gives him a look like we are going to talk about this later but doesn't say anything.
Colin is already absorbed in looking at the sword and shield oblivious to everything else.
Aine rolls her eyes at Colin and sits down.
James and Jael run over to their father to be reassured that everything is alright and they are safe.
Cait then looks at her brother and seeing his absorption says humorously: Yavin to Colin. What did you find out?
Huh? Oh, these are definitely Sidhe runes.
Tell me something I don't know,Col. I knew that already. What do they say?
Oh, didn't I say?
No, you didn't.
Instead of answering her he says to Nick:
I need you to do something Nick. Come over here.

Nick smiles at James and Jael and nods his head indicating that everything's okay. They both walk over to some toys that Nick had put in there earlier and they begin playing with them. He glances at Colin and nods his head. "Sure Colin. What's up?" He slips out of Kaden's embrace and walks over to Colin and looks at him with his arms crossed. "So, what are they?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. Kaden smiles softly and sits on the edge of Nick's desk and watches them.

I need you to hold these like this while I try something.
He demonstrates how he wants Nick to hold the sword and shield straight out in front of him.
Can you do that?
Cait leans forward interested. Col? What are going to do?
He grins. You'll see.
Aine gets up to look too.

Nick raises an eyebrow looking curiously at Colin. "Okay..." He reaches out and takes the sword into his left hand and slips his right arm into the shield and holds it like Colin wanted. "So, now what?" He says quietly.
James and Jael both look up and walk over to stand next to Kaden who had stood up as well to watch. She looks at Nick and smiles, a slight twinkle in her eyes.

Just stand there for now. I want you to concentrate on wanting to know about the sword and shield. Can you do that?
He then begins to sing softly the same song that Cait had sung earlier to reveal the runes. The sword and shield start to glow revealing again the runes. Colin's eyes narrow as he reads them. When he stops singing the runes again disappear.
Hmmm very interesting.
Colin, if you don't tell us what they say I'm going to hit you with something large and heavy. *Cait says in a exasperated tone of voice.*
Oh, Sorry. He points along one edge of the sword.
This rune tell the sword's name. Voronwe Elhach. or in common Steadfast Star-flame
He then points to the shield and this one the shield's name. Anarion. Sun Lord
Aine gasps. Cait's eyebrows go up.

Nick does as Colin instructs and watches as the runes begin glowing on the sword and shield again. He shakes his head and then looks at Aine when she gasps and then at Cait. "Okay, what the frak is that supposed to mean and what's its connection to me?" He sets the sword and shield down on the desk and looks at Colin with his arms crossed over his chest.

Aine to Colin. I thought they were lost in battle.
Cait to Aine then Nick. Obviously not. Those were the names of a famous sword and shield belonging to one of our ancient Kings. They were thought to be lost.
Colin ignores both Aine and Cait he looks sternly at Nick when he puts down the sword and shield. Did I tell you to put that down yet? I'm not finished.

Nick looks at Aine and Cait. "Belonged to an ancient King? But they've been in my family for generations. Are you trying to tell me that..." He stops and looks sharply at Colin and then smirks and shrugs. "Okay Colin, sorry about that." He picks up the sword into his left hand and slips the shield back on again. Looking at Colin he grins slightly. "Happy now?"

Yes, I know. Have you forgotten cousin who you are related to? And who your ancestor married? Cait says with a smile and a lifted eyebrow. She then turns to Colin and asks: Wasn't her Father's name Anarion?
Colin nods. I believe so, yes.
When Nick picks up the sword and shield again. Colin smiles.
Yes, Now I want you to sing the same thing I just sang can you do that? As the sword and shield's owner it should reveal to you their natures.

Nick chuckled and nodded his head. "You're right Cait. Of course." He looked at Colin and raised an eyebrow. "You want me to sing?" He sighs and nods his head. "Okay, I guess I have no choice then in the matter do I?" He sighs and clears his throat. He then begins singing as instructed and watches as the sword and shield begins to glow.

Cait returns his chuckle. Glad you think so Nick. She grins at his question to Colin and says in a teasing tone of voice.
What's the matter Nick, shy? I have heard you sing before you have a good voice. I'm sure Kaden would like to hear you.
Then says more seriously.
Haven't you noticed by now that all Sidhe rituals are done with music or singing? There is a good reason for it. It adds power to what is being done. Because it is part of one of the most ancient of languages. The language that helped to shape this galaxy and the universe.
Colin in answer to Nick's first question with a grin.
Yes, sing.
Then to his second question with another grin.
Nope.
As he sings Cait and Aine join him adding their voices to the song. The sword and shield glow even brighter. Colin begins to sing as well but the words are slightly different than the others. There is a tone of command in his voice. He is asking in song for the sword and shield to reveal themselves to the one who holds them.

Nick smirks and shakes his head. "No, Cousin, I'm not shy." He glances at Kaden to see her smiling. "Heh, thanks Cait."
He nods his head. "Yeah, its always been that way with singing."
He continues to sing and watches as Cait, then Aine and then Colin joins in. His eyes widen as the sword and shield begins glowing until the glow entirely envelops him.
