The holo shrugs. "True enough but most of them are probably broken by now." She gives him an arch look. "Now hush up, the meeting is starting."
She smiles and nods at he rest of the assembled Jedi and hopes Luke gets on with it finally.
She nods an affirmative to Luke when he requests she keep the minuets and pulls out a datapad.

Nick looks at Luke and nods his head. Clearing his throat, he stands up and approaches the center of the chamber. "As you all know, about three years ago, Kaden was assisting the Republic on a top secret mission for Intelligence. On her return trip to Coruscant, her convoy was attacked by pirates. Somehow, Kaden was infected with a deadly virus. To keep herself alive, she placed herself in Force Hibernation. The survivors of the convoy brought her body to me."
He sighs softly and then continues. "In case this attack wasn't coincidental, I spread the rumor that she had been killed in the attack while in fact, I had her placed in a cryogenic chamber while I worked on the cure to heal her. She was supposed to undergo her Master's trials when she returned, but this tragic incident prevented that from happening. Anyways, about three days ago, I finally perfected the cure and healed her. She's been filled in on what's happened and would like to continue helping the Order."
Nick bows politely and then retakes his seat.

Cait quietly listens to Nick stating his case for Kaden's elevation to Master.
My turn now I guess.
*She bows to Nick and then the rest of the Council.*
Well said Nick.
I agree that Kaden was more than ready three years ago.
I think this experience has only strenthened her connection to the Force.
She had already become a Master healer when this happened.
Of course this decision is up to the Council but I think we only be enhanced by making Kaden a Master.
She has much to offer and much to teach the younglings and padawans.
Cait bows to show she has finished for now.

Luke bows to Nick and Cait. He begins to think about what they have presented, and now turns to the other masters. "Thank you Master Nick and Master Cait. I would now like to open the floor up to discussion and questions from the Council. Who would like to go first?"

"Esteemed colleagues. Kaden is indeed a powerful Jedi and is well deserving of the accomplishments she has reached up to this point. Her tragic accident that lead her to spend three standard years in stasis is indeed a crime.
While I am not against Kaden Owabi becoming a Master, I do feel that she has been ill for a very long time. her body needs time to fully recover and more importantly, her mind and soul need time to recover. She has been through an experience most of us can only begin to imagine and we cannot begin to know what ramifications this has had on her physical and emotional well being.
With the Council's permission, I would like to evaluate her psychological state which has been the standard and norm before fully integrating a Jedi back in to the Order after a prolonged illness or experience. Following which she should be evaluated physically to ensure she is physically capable of the stress and wear being a full Master requires. Then she may take the trials and attain her place as Master."
She looks deeply into Nicks eyes while she says this, hoping he understands.

Once Gert is finished he takes his turn. Looking around the room he speaks "Fellow Council members....you all know my past as a commando in the rebellion and I speak from first hand experience. I have spent many long weeks healing in bacta tanks and can tell you this. No matter how well trained you are your body loses something from inaction. I have no doubts in my mind that Kaden is a warrior. Many times I have trained and fought beside her. All I ask is that she spend some time with me training so we can be assured physically she is ready. A little O-course and saber training at the temple should do fine.
I am very pleased to see that Nic's skill in the healing arts have grown and I am confident in due course we can elevate our dear friend into the ranks of the Jedi Masters.

Keeping herself seated, she looks around the room. Looking into Nick's eyes, she keeps a non plussed face.
"My fellow Masters, I would prefer to see how Kaden's state of mind and body are after she recovers somewhat. I will be open to training her in hand to hand combat."
Never taking her eyes from Nick, she leans back and fixes her dress.

Mara listens quietly to everyone's arguments and concerns regarding elevating Kaden to the rank of master. Having been away herself for two years, she does not feel as if she can truly weigh in. However, being close to the dark side herself years before, she know what a toll it can take on a Jedi, no matter how immersed in the Light they are.
"I am in agreement with the other Masters on the issue of a psychological evaluation. Gaining one's physical strength is one thing, emotional strength is another. With Master Owabi's guidance and support, along with the rest of the Order, she will be ready for the burden of being a Master."

"I have listened to everyone's opinion on this matter, and I believe that it comes down to what effects she may or may not be suffering from being in a coma for so long. I believe that we are not saying no at this time, but that we are saying let's wait and see. I also believe that she will pass her trials very soon and without any problems. We just need to make sure she is healthy."
"Are there any other concerns regarding this subject? If not, are we ready to vote? Yay to make Kaden a Master, Nay to wait until evaluations can be done."

She shakes her head to Luke's question about any further arguments either way. She's made her point and is glad the Council seems to be in agreement.
"It is my feeling that in the matter of Kaden Owabi taking her trials at this time that she should wait pending further evaluation of her well being."

Nick leans back in his seat listening quietly to everyone's input. Knowing inwardly that they are all right he nods his head. He looks at Luke. "All of you are right. I was just so happy to see her awake that I didn't even think of the psychological and physical effects it would have on her." He smirks. "And to think I'm a Master Healer and didn't even catch that."
