PERSONALITY: Mara can remain calm under pressure and possesses a quick wit, however, her temper can sometimes be short. Though not given easily, once Mara has given her loyalty to someone, it's forever. Due to her rough upbringing, Mara tends to react first with irritation and anger, but doesn't let it control her. She is able to quickly calm herself and react as a Jedi should.
WEAPONS: Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber (blue blade). Mara is trained to use many types of blasters, but carries a small hold-out blaster in a holster strapped to her left wrist. She occasionally carries a vibroblade in her boot, and if the situation calls for it, she carries a shoto. Mara had extensive training during her time as the Emperor's Hand in hand-to-hand combat.

HISTORY: Mara Jade has no memory of her birth parents. She was taken from them by agents of Emperor Palpatine as a young child, and trained in the ways of the Force, espionage, and hand-to-hand combat to be his personal assassin. The Emperor bestowed upon her the title of Emperor's Hand and with that title she also acquired special privileges, such as commanding stormtroopers.
She served the Emperor faithfully and without question all her years in his service, never failing to carry out his bidding. Except that one time on Tatooine. The Emperor had sent Mara to kill Luke Skywalker, as the Emperor saw Skywalker as a threat. Mara infiltrated Jabba's Palace as a dancer in order to get close enough to Skywalker to kill him. Her plans were foiled when Jabba would not allow her to go on his Sail Barge. Skywalker survived and Mara assumed (with influence from Palpatine) that he had killed the Emperor; Mara developed an intense hatred for him and was even haunted by dreams from Palpatine repeating his last command: YOU WILL KILL LUKE SKYWALKER!
Her Force training from the Emperor, while thorough, was not complete, as the Emperor did not allow her Force skills to develop fully. Mara completed her training with Luke Skywalker, with tidbits from Kyle Katarn.
Eventually, she had to team up with Skywalker in order to destroy a crazy Jedi clone and a clone of Luke himself. Killing the clone Luuke, removed the burden Palpatine had put upon her. Mara and Skywalker would work together on several missions during her time as Talon Karrde's second-in-command, until the two fell in love and were married.
Since joining the Jedi Order, Mara has learned a bit of the parentage that was robbed of her by the Emperor. She has discovered that Pappy-Wan Kenobi is her much older brother, and everything she knows of her parents has come from him.
Mara has achieved the rank of Jedi Master, but firmly believes in utilizing one's physical abilities during combat, using the Force to amplify them.
