The countdown reaches zero, and Mara disengages the hyperdrive above the planet of Myrkr. She attempts to contact flight control but gets no response.
"Why aren't they answerin', Mom?" Ben asks from behind Mara's chair.
"There may not be any flight control down there after the Yuuzhan Vong occupied the planet." Mara tries once more to contact flight control. Nothing. "Strap in, Ben. We'll just land near the outskirts of Hyllyard City."
She pilots the ship down towards the planet.

The Shadow makes orbit and Mara engages the hyperdrive, launching the ship to lightspeed.

R3 brought the Eta 2 into Myrkr's orbit.
Feonix looked around the forest bed below and toward small mountain peaks ahead. She didn't see any towers but decided to land anyway. "Yes, Ardy. Land anywhere along the line of trees."
The droid beeped several times.
"No, R3. We can't go home. Loki will know if we reach their orbit. He will not find me here. Take Etta down and I'll find a remote place to bury my mother. This planet is beautiful. I think she would agree. I have to find a new home world now. Going anywhere near Loki and his goons is dangerous."
R3 beeped again and Feonix sighed, "I agree its hard to start over but we must. Thank you for setting down. Looks safe enough. Come on, lets go explore then we'll bury my mother."

Feonix searched for a secluded spot to build her new home on when she spotted a strange creature above her in the trees. She took out her data pad and pointed toward the animal. The pad blinked and information read: Ysalamiri. Furry, lizard-like tree dweller. Feeds on the leaves of Olbio trees, native to the planet, Myrkr. The Ysalamiri are able to project a Force neutral bubble.
Feonix watched the Ysalamiri for a few minutes then continued on her quest for awhile before she noticed it was getting dark and she had to give her mother a proper burial. She came to realize the only right thing to do would be to build a funeral pyre. A richer sign of love and respect then a simple burial.
Feonix took out her lightsaber and cut off several branches from fallen trees along the forest bed to use for the pyre. She dragged them back with her and carefully build the structure.
When she was done, it was very dark and cold. She gently picked up her mother's body from the ship and carefully placed it on the pyre. She took out her lightsaber again and lit the bundles of leaves under the pieces of wood.
She watched as the flames rose higher and higher and her mother was barely visible anymore, "Goodbye my sweet mother." she whispered. "I will avenge your death."
A few hours had passed when the last of the flames flickered out and the coolness of the evening hit Feonix again. She wiped a tear away from her chilled face and turned away. She made her way to the ship and climbed aboard. She fell asleep watching the smoldering embers fade out.

When she arrived back at the site, she dropped her things off into the ship and took R3 to find a place to call "home." After only a few minutes she came upon a small cave. She told R3 to wait then went inside. It went inward for 100 feet before turning to the left. From there it went on another 600 feet and opened into a clearing with a 10 foot high ceiling and a pool of water down a small decline.
Feonix liked the look of the cave and decided it would be a great fit. She went out to R3, and together they found their way back to the sihip. She got her supplies and went back to the cave.
Once Feonix set up her new humble abode she went to meet up with R3. She took a long look at the camp site then boarded the Eta 2 ready to began her search for answers on how her mohter ended up as a slave in the mines of Kessel.
Her first stop: Mos Eisley Spaceport. "You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villiany." she whispered as she took off for Tatooine.
