Well, I'm guessing the missing word is 'like' because you made a typo in that sentence. And if so, fair enough. I don't like you either. Never did.

*This just in!*
*The Lawsuits against the Tabloids on the Holonet have been dropped under section 203849 of Coruscanti law, protecting the right to put whatever the hell you want in your own forum of news, even if its false.
And because no one believes the tabloids anyway.
Thank you for your time, back to your regular programming*

I think Volk is a private investor of this tabloid.....it was a smart move considering all the "bad" press the Jedi are getting from Z So keep them coming, Z.....maybe something about Cate next time or about Nick "twin" is out there causing a ruckus destroying Imperial property?

*** This just in*** After doing extensive research we have found there is no such law or statute on the books of Courscant. And the lawyers for the Jedi says the lawsuit still will go forth. We wait the next episode in this evolving story. OOC: (Freedom of speech doesn't apply to publishing a known lie as the truth to ruin someone's character or reputation. That is what libel and defamation of character means. And you can be sued for that. Besides I'm not disputing his right to say it. I'm just rping what would be the natural reaction of someone who had this printed about them.) TO Volk: Hush you He doesn't need encouragement.

((ooc: Due to this being the internet it falls not under any governments laws meaning that your arguement is invalid since not everybody on this site is from the United States. Nonetheless, I will answer your comment about Free Speech using US criminal justice since I am studying it...I mean really? you're gonna get into a legal arguement with someone studying law?))
Unfortunatly for the Jedi Order, the Court declared 'Jedi News' innocent under the legal standing of 'Qualified Privilage' which allows journalist to publish information.
The Jedi News also was able to argue 'Mistake of Fake' because they honestly believe that the pictures are true and as such is not doing it out of malicious intent.
Also, since the pictures do include the Jedi and were not photoshopped in anyway it unfortunatly means that the Jedi News as a news agency is allowed to publish the pictures unless the Jedi Order can prove that they were photoshopped by showing the original non-photoshopped pictures
The Jedi News also used the arguement of Legal Opinion. Stating that it is their subjective opinion that those pictures are in fact true and not slander. Regardless of truth or not, they are protected and allowed their opinion.
On top of that, they argued Fair Comment, a common law defense [that] guarantees the freedom of the press to express statements on matters of public interest.
Next, in the case of Jael, they argued that the Claimant is incapable of further defamation. Essentially, the person had such a bad reputation before the libel, that no further damage could possibly have been caused by the making of the statement.
And finally, just as in the case "Hustler Magazine vs Falwell" the Jedi News was deemed to be within the law, because the jury found that reasonable people would not have interpreted the parody to contain factual claims.
