It was inhabited by poor locals who mostly farmed moisture for a living. Other activities included used equipment retailing and scrap dealing. The planet was on the 5709-DC Shipping Lane, a spur of the Triellus Trade Route, which itself connected to the Sisar Run. The planet was not far from the Corellian Run. It had its own navigation system. However, it would still play a role in galactic events, serving as the home of Anakin Skywalker. It was here that Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn recognized Anakin's potential to become a Jedi and where he introduced him to Obi-Wan Kenobi, his future master and mentor. Tatooine was also the home of Anakin's son, Luke, where he lived until his early adulthood. The planet built up a very bad reputation, often being viewed as the cesspool of the galaxy due to the high-level of criminals who could be found onworld. |

~after a short while of searching Gin finds himself on a transport off planet not sure where its going he shrugs and waits for it to clear orbit, once out of orbit the transport jumps to hyperspace~

The ship was named simply 'Harbinger', and when you thought about it, it was strangely fitting. When this Harbinger appeared in the skies, something planet-shaking was about to happen. but what, exactly, was unknown even to the crew. Harbinger was a black and red Venator class Star Destroyer. She had been modified, though. her hangars converted to allow for more cargo space, and her crew quarters considerably more comfortable. She was an interstellar version of a Black Sun Waystation now, a flying safe house for members who needed to lay low. Most importantly was her sensor suite, which had been modified with the most modern equipment money could buy. So now Harbinger hung in orbit over the backwater world of Tattooine, ground control reading her as nothing more than a simple bulk freighter delivering cargo.
It wasn't far from the truth, though, and as the front hangar doors of the massive ship split opened, a small fleet of freighter craft of all different makes and models flew out one by one. most stayed close to the destroyer, but one broke away and headed down towards the planet.
"flight control, my name is Shran, I have a docking bay reserved for business on planet. Transmitting relevant data now."
The ship started transmitting. mostly just pilots lisence, ship registry... all the things you would expect... but also a quick, short message to a different location, one easily lost to anyone who might be listening in. a transmission informing their buyer that everything on the list had been acquired.

*Kite exits lightspeed around this desert planet, from his usual vector, and smiles fondly down at it. He missed this place, and the place had a strange draw to him. He transmits his code to the orbit and heads down to the planet, towards the former and future base of the Crimson Blade.*

As his Sith Infiltraitor comes out of hyperspace, SK then stares out at the viewport and onto the planet if Tatooine. The last time he was here, there was some crazy little alien that was trying to recruit him. He then stopped thinking about it, and then took his ship and landed it ust outside of Mos Eisley.

Luke exited hyperspace and stared at the large dust ball of a planet. It had been years since he came here. He had mixed feelings coming back. He always did. After all, this was his home for many years.
There was no Port Authority out here. Tattoine was too far away from civilization to have such things. Luke picked out a spot just outside of Mos Eisley, and set the Stealth X down. He was sure Mara would be right behind him and be able to find where he had landed. He climbed down from the cockpit and waited for her.

Mara's StealthX comes in for a smooth landing next to Luke's. She shuts the ship down, raises the canopy, and hops out to the hot Tatooine sand. The instant she takes off her flight helmet, she wishes she hadn't as the hot, dry air hits her. Tossing the helmet up into the ship she reflects on the last time she'd been to this particular planet. It was for an assassination attempt that didn't go as she'd planned. Thank the Force for that, she mused.
"Ready, farmboy?" She checks that her blaster and lightsaber are in their proper places.

"Yeah, let's head to the cantina district and see if we can learn anything," replies Luke. Luke and Mara head towards town. He picks up SK's emotional scent. It is a strong presence in the Force. The fallen Jedi is upset about something. "He headed this way." They made their way to a cantina.

In his Sith Infiltraitor, SK had switched over to stealth mode, as he was figuring out his next destination, when he felt a familiar presence in the force. It was a presence that he had not felt for quite a while, but yet, it was very strong in the force. It had to be Luke Skywalker. He felt another presence too, as that had to be his wife Mara Skywalker as well.
"So, they are looking for me..." he said, a bit flattered that the Jedi would send thier strongest after him. the Grandmaster of the Jedi and his wife were both thorns in his side, as he figured that the Jedi would have sent someone a little less experienced to find him, but this worked perfectly well into his plans.
He then opened himself to the force, and concentrated on the presence that he was again searching for. It was here on Tatooine, but then dissapeared as the fighting first began, and now he can feel it again, but a bit farther. He then started up his hyperdrive again, and went to his next destination: Naboo.

Luke arrives at his Stealth X and climbs into the cockpit. He begins pre-flight check list. "Artoo, warm the engines." Soon everything is green lighted. Luke takes off and sets coordinates for Naboo. He draws back on the handle and makes the jump to lightspeed.
