Jarek Rithin is the scum of the universe. unfortunately for the rest of the galaxy, he's not your common scum of the universe. he's the kind of scum every pickpocket grows up dreaming about becoming. Charismatic, charming and very intelligent, he's as much at home among the political elite as he is the bounty hunters, smugglers and thugs he lords over.
His origins are uncertain, his homeworld and parentage a mystery. the earliest records of his existence being a police report on a tramp freight busted for smuggling on the world of Kuat. The rest of the crew went to prison... he walked away free as a bird. that was twenty years ago, and since then his name has become almost legendary in the galactic underworld.
His start in the Black Sun syndicate started the same as most careers do, working odd jobs in the slums of the great cities of the Core Worlds. bouncing though the various smaller gangs that owed fealty to the Black Sun. He did a little of everything over the years... gun work, con games, petty theft and left of much, much larger scales. His true talents, however, surfaced during Xizor's rise to power.
The infighting that followed Xizor's coup is infamous among the Syndicates. assassination, betrayal and open violence shook the orginzation to it's core... and when the dust settled, Jarek Rithin held the entire underworld of Corulag in his iron fist. Cold, calculating and ruthless, his rivals fell in rapid succession. some are in jail, others assassinated by rival factions... a disturbing number dead by his own hand. After Xizor's fall, it was only a matter of time before he set his sights on the ultimate crown.
His ability to read his enemies plans, his foresight in all his business dealings, and his uncanny ability to sniff out traps has given rise to the belief that he may be Force Sensitive, but neither the Jedi nor the Sith make any claim to have given him training. as with most things about Jarek Rithin, He is the only one who knows the truth.
He now sits on the throne of largest crime Syndicate in the Core Worlds. the Black Sun is once again rising, his reach expanding. his long term goals unknown, his loyalties as shifting as the dunes of Tattooine. The Galaxy at large sleeps blissfully unaware of this new power looming in the darkness, and those who know of them sleep uneasily
