Name: Rogan (the second)
Species: Human, mostly
Gender: Male
Weapon: Lightsabers duh (Double sided and detachable)
Affiliation: Grey Jedi Order, Jedi, Sith
History:
Early Years:
Rogan grew up in the forest moon of Endor. Raised by his father, a rogue Jedi, Rogan was trained from birth to use the force. Mostly powers considered to be of the light side Rogan also learned a handful of Dark side powers to be used as a last resort only. After his fathers passing Rogan was left alone on the moon until a Sith warrior and her regiment reestablished their base camp. Rogan watched from the shadows as a group of Jedi attempted to raid the camp, and in the commotion one of the Sith soldiers spotted Rogan and fired at him. Rogan reluctantly joined in the battle and helped the Jedi defeat the small army. During the battle, Rogan used Force Lightning, a know dark side power. The Sith leader, a woman by the name of Kara, who was both surprised and impressed at Rogan's tactical knowledge and ability to wield the Dark Side, offered to train him and teach him more of this power. Filled with both lust for power and resentment for his fathers departure, Rogan assisted the Sith warrior in defeating the remaining Jedi and escaped upon a Sith cruiser.
Life as a Sith:
Little is known of his time with his dark master but Rogan did indeed become stronger in the force especially in the dark side. During this time he took the name of Darth Narog and had done many terrible deeds. Years later unknown to many including his master, Rogan had a change of heart and removed himself from the ways of the Sith. Many who knew him believed it to either be a lovers quarrel between his master or he had just simply grown board of killing. As a departure present, Rogan led a group of Jedi (through the force) into the Sith stronghold. One of the Jedi was a padawan survivor of the Endor massacre. They were able to destroy the fortress which was a crippling blow to the Sith armada.
The wandering Jedi:
After leaving the Sith, Rogan wandered the galaxy studying different aspects of the force that was never taught by either Jedi or Sith. He began realizing that the force was not something simply cut in half, but that there were many aspects of the force and only by viewing the force as a whole can one truly begin to understand its power. After realizing this Rogan began to study not only the force but everything the force could touch. Creatures, Plants, even whole planets.
Order of the Grey:
Ashiro was the first person to speak of the Grey Jedi, those who viewed the force in all of it's glory, good and evil. The two quickly became friends through their common bond and soon found others who believed the same. But it wasn't until master Lillian Rand that an Order was built around their belief. Rogan along with Master Rand, Ashiro and four other masters of the Grey created a temple on Zonama Sekot and began to spread the word of the Grey order. Rogan chose the way of the Wind Sage one of four classes that a Grey Jedi could choose from. The wind sage was powerful in the force, and preferred hand to hand combat as a lightsaber was meant to be used for a serious threat. Rogan had finally found peace, balance in the mind and the force. This is what his father would have wanted. As more applicants came to learn true balance, word of the Order and it's members spread throughout the galaxy. Shortly after the election of the Second Kage, one of the first seven Greys known as Ra-Vel Samaad, Rogan was visited by his old Sith master.
Hiatus:
Rogan indeed had feelings for his master but he never intended on fulfilling his desires. When she found him however, he could not help himself, he knew the two were meant to be and the two ran off together. She wanted him to become her apprentice again, but all he wanted was to be with her. He begged for someone else to take his place but she would not have it. She knew of Rogan's potential and wanted him as her apprentice. Once again Rogan dawned the name of Darth Narog but he did not intend on keeping the name for long. One of the abilities he had been working on, as both a Grey Jedi and a Wind Sage, was a way to purge good and evil from ones soul, to create a being that was completely impartial to the ways of light and dark. Once perfected it would be the final test for anyone who wished to become a Grey Jedi. He tested his theory on himself first but it ended in failure. Instead of removing the good and evil within, he actually created two copies of himself, one pure good and the other pure evil. Rogan however was still the same person. The evil him took the name Darth Narog and killed his good counterpart, then took off with his master. Rogan was left alone, to contemplate on his actions. He knew that one day he would be able to perfect this technique but until then he had many other tests that he wanted to try. This gave him the idea of Beginning the House of the Wind: a Grey Jedi Research institute. But there was much work to be done before his return to the Grey order. He began his preparations, gathering information and test subjects that would be vital to him in the future. The old Sith base on Endor's moon was sufficient enough to become his very first laboratory. One of his first test subjects were a group of Yuuzhan Vong warriors who were unfortunate enough to try to ambush Rogan. From the warriors Rogan created a serum that emulated the Yuuzhan Vong's ability to hide themselves from the force.
A Short return to the Grey:
a plea form the Planet itself forced Rogan to return before his due time. To his surprise, upon his return, most of the original Grey members were gone. In their place a new Generation of the Grey Order, led by Master Nighthawk who was a promising Genin at the time of Rogan's departure. Rogan assisted with the crises at hand and asked to begin construction of the House of the Wind. After being granted the title Head of science and research, Rogan began work on the Institute. Shortly after its completion however, Rogan received word of Darth Narog and his apprentice causing much trouble in the Galaxy. Apparently Narog was too powerful for his master to control and their roles eventually became reversed. Rogan once again departed from the Grey order without a word, as he believed it would be the last time he would ever step foot in the temple again.
A wretched twist of Fate:
After following Narogs tracks for years Rogan finally caught a break on a distant planet outside of the Galaxy. Narog allowed his apprentice the chance to finally kill Rogan and prove her place by his side. But Kara had a change of heart, the evil she did was nothing compaired to the evil she carried out under Narog's command. She instead decided to join Rogan. As Narog was giving a speach to Rogan about how the republic was foolish in the way they ran the galaxy Kara had time to sneak behind Narog and stab him through the back before he had time to react. The two left Narog to die and returned to the moon of Endor, where they had first met. Deciding to leave all the worries of the galaxy behind Rogan and Kara Began a new life together. A year later Rogan found out he was soon to be a father. Finally with her and their soon to be child, Rogan could see true purpose in his life. One far away from war and even the force. But happiness could not last forever. In Rogans absence from the Grey Jedi Temple, Narog had taken his place and was pretending to be him. He used the House of the Wind as his lair to recover and even tried to lure a Genin to become his apprentice. Though his attempt failed he tried again, each time ended in failure and his wounds completely healed he left, but not before taking a batch of the Yuuzhan Vong serum. Knowing the most logical place that Rogan and Kara would retreat to, Narog made his way for Endor. With the serum of the Yuuzhan Vong running through Narog's veins nobody ever saw him coming. Rogan was on the planet Endor when he noticed the moon was unusually red. Sensing something wrong Rogan made his way home. Rogan tried to assure himself that everything was ok but as he got closer to the moon however he realized it was red because it was on fire. The entire moon was on fire. From his ship, Rogan created two great tornadoes. One on each side of the moon that quickly devoured the flames, but it seemed that he was too late. Upon his return to his home he saw what was left of his wife and all the dreams he had for a normal life disappeared.
The capture and defeat of Narog:
It took many years to catch up to Narog. Every time Rogan arrived on a planet, Narog had already cause havoc to it and dissapeared. Mostly these planets were on the outer rim and even some beyond. On one such planet outside of the Galaxy, Rogan came across a dying Anzati warrior by the name of Rakknil. Rogan offered some of his own life force if the Anzat agreed to become a study subject. Through the study of the Anzati warrior, Rogan created a modified version of the Anzat tentical. Instead of expelling from the cheek, Rogan's tenticals were released from the palm of his hands. Placing his hands upon his prey's head, over the ears. The tenticals extended into the ears and then on to the brain. This became the winning factor when Rogan finally caught up with Narog. Because the two were essentually the same person, Rogan had to rely on all the studies that he gained after expelling Narog from his body. Their fight seemed to last for days neither giving any way until Rogan was able to catch Narog off guard. Rogan slammed Narog to the wall his hand over Narog's mouth. Rogan used this opportunity to extend his tentical through the mouth and into his brain where it was able to drain all thought and lifeforce from Narog once and for all.
A new beginning:
There was nothing left for rogan after he finally caught Narog. His wife was gone, his future destroyed in the fire. In his grief Rogan returned to Endor's moon. He sought shelter in the caves he once played in as a child. Placing down his lightsaber beside a rock, Rogan sat down and allowed himself to die. Fate unfortunately had other plans for him. He was visited by a woman who resembled Kara and at first Rogan thought it was. Her name was Kaya (pronounced "k-eye-ah") and she was Kara's sister. She requested his help and the two took off to her home planet, far far away from the Galaxy. What transpired on this world, Rogan was told to keep to himself. But upon his return to the galaxy, he was a new man. More in tune with the force than ever before. His first stop, the Grey Order...
The third Generation of Grey:
Once again Rogan stepped through the Doors to the temple he once called home. Much had changed, a new Kage was again elected. Her name was Aeron, she was strong yet had a gentle side to her. In many ways she reminded him or their first Kage. Upon his arrival there was commotion of an exploding droid. Rogan quickly requested to help find the owner of this droid and accompanied Aeron deep into the forest...
