Feiya was the capital of Deyer. It housed a spaceport and was the planet's only known settlement.

He had to face it. The ship was ruined beyond all hope of repair. The once proud owner of the Wild Wanderer was faced with giving up on his beloved craft. The Falleen had been on Deyer now for three standard months, and no matter what he and his sidekick, an outgoing and sticky-fingered Jawa named Jekk Jett, had done, the ship continued to get worse. The hyperdrive core was the last straw. The coolant crack and then the subsequent over heated frame just buckled and shattered beyond repair.

Sighing audibly, he knew it was time to start taking her apart and to begin selling off what pieces he could. Going inside the ship, he went to his cabin and packed all his belongings.

Meanwhile, the Jawa had begun to make a list of all the parts usable for sale or trade. Scurrying around the ship, he made notes and plans. Tomorrow he was going to start taking the ship apart. Hearing Zenear pack, he went inside and ran up to him. Uta? Utano? uni uni yao. The Falleen nodded and answered his questions. Yes, we have to strip the ship bare. Yes I want to sell all the pieces off if we can. He shook his head, almost amused by the ramblings. Almost. Jekk, we are going to get as much credits as possible, and then blow this joint. I already have a plan......

After about a week, the ship was gone. Between the two of them, they had sold it one piece at a time. Now they had enough credits to travel, and maybe get a new ship.

The two bought tickets and then headed for the busiest place in the Galaxy.

Corusant.

Mara brings the Shadow to a smooth landing next to the Wild Karrde in the spaceport. The Shadow is no small ship, but sitting next to the Action VI transport it looks tiny.

Peering out the forward viewport, Mara spots Karrde and Shada D'ukal, the former Mistryl Shadow Guard who replaced Mara in Karrde's organization, walking towards the ship. She shuts the ship down, lowers the ramp, and heads aft, retrieving Ben from his cabin on the way.

Karrde and Shada are standing at the bottom of the ramp when Mara exits the ship.

"It is about time you stopped by, Mara," Karrde says as he envelopes her in a hug. He looks at Ben, who is standing next to Mara. "And hello there, young Ben. I haven't seen you since you were this big!" Karrde holds up a hand just above knee level.

Ben looks at the man and grins. "Uncle Han says I'm almost big enough to pull ears off a Gundark!"

"Your uncle Han says that to everyone."

Karrde chuckles, then looks at Mara. "So you want to come aboard and tell me the real reason you flew all the way out here? I know better than to think it was solely a social call."

Mara glares at him then her expression turns into a smile. "You know me too well, Talon. I do have a favor to ask of you, actually."

She secures the Shadow and the four of them board the Wild Karrde.

Once on the Wild Karrde, Mara, Karrde, and Shada sat at a table in the ship's galley, while Ben played with a toy speederbike in the corner of the room.

Karrde leans forward, resting his elbows on the table. "You're out here because that Sith showed up, aren't you?"

Mara half-grins. "Can't get anything by you. Yes, that is why I'm here. We are wondering if you could start rumors circulating that an ancient Sith Holocron has been found on Ossus. The plan is to lure him out there; Luke hopes to capture him and redeem him, but I have my doubts it will end peacefully."

Karrde rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Rumors, huh? I think we can handle that." He pauses. "I could even have Booster Terrik circulate a few on his end as well. That is assuming the Errant Venture's Holonet receiver is functioning." He rolls his eyes. "You can never be sure with that ship."

"Adding Booster would allow our Sithboy to hear the rumor quicker." Mara looks back and forth between Karrde and Shada. "Is Ghent with the Wild Karrde at the moment? I was hoping to have him encrypt a message for me."

"Yes, he came in with the Starry Ice yesterday evening." Shada answers, then pulls out her comlink and speaks into it. "Faughn, this is Shada. Could you have Ghent come to the Wild Karrde's galley?" Getting an affirmative response, she puts away her comlink.

A few minutes later and Ghent stumbles into the galley.

"You called for me, Shada?" Ghent asks.

"Mara has a favor she'd like your help with." She gestures in Mara's direction.

"I was wondering if you could use one of your high-security encryptions on this message." She produces a datacard from her belt and hands it to the slicer. "I already recorded the message on the trip here, but it needs to be sent as soon as possible to Jagged Fel." The recorded message is asking Fel to spread rumors about a Sith Holocron being found on Ossus.

"Sure, I can get started on it right away!" Ghent says excitedly. "I just developed a new encryption method that uses..." he trails off. "Well, you don't want to hear about that. I will have this encrypted and sent in no time." He scurries off to complete his assignment.

"I think we need to get going. I still have two more planets to visit. Incidentally, do you think there are still some ysalamiri nutrient frames on Myrkr?" Mara asks Karrde.

"There could be, though after the Yuuzhan Vong presence there, I can't be sure. If there are, they would be in Hyllyard City." Karrde doesn't ask why she is interested in ysalamiri. "It was good to see you. Both of you. Stop by more often, Mara."

"You can always come to Yavin IV," Mara counters. "Thanks for everything, Karrde."

The group says their goodbyes, and Mara and Ben return to the Shadow to prepare for liftoff.

With the boarding ramp raised and everyone secure, Mara powers up the engines and takes the Shadow to the Deyer orbit.
