Hello and welcome! Besides the Training Room there is also a place to teach the beliefs, philosophies and techniques of the Grey. Please remember: There are no stupid questions! Stupid is just to not ask them.
Variations of the Grey Jedi Code
There is no Dark Side, nor a light side, there is only the Force. I will do what I must to keep the balance as the balance is what keeps me together. There is no good without evil, but evil must not be allowed to flourish. There is passion, yet peace; Serenity, yet emotion; Chaos, yet order. I am the wielder of the flame, the protector of balance. I am the holder of the Torch, lighting the way. I am the keeper of the flame, soldier of balance. I am a Guardian of the Balance. I am a Gray Jedi.
- Leor Danal reciting The Gray Jedi Code for the first time while in a Force Trance : Jedi Master Lillian Rand
Through pain comes wisdom; but not without ignorance comes knowledge. There is no power; only the Force. There are no sides; only the whole. No darkness, No Light, only understanding:
- Jedi Master Rav'el Samaad
There are emotions, yet we have Serenity. There is Chaos, yet Harmony is produced. There are passions, yet there can be Balance.
There's often hurry, still we cultivate patience. There's much ignorance: this knowledge is wisdom. There will be Death. But there is the Force
- This is the ancient Code of the Grey: Jedi Master John Sislou

There are six ranks of the Grey Jedi.
The first is Genin which is a new member to the order.
Second is the Grey Knight which is earned after passing the Grey Knight trials. Grey Knights are still considered in a training period in which they still must go on missions with another Grey Knight or higher.
Third is Silver Knight which is achieved after two years of being a Grey Knight. The Silver Knight may go on missions alone and after five years may take the Silver Knight trials to become the final level of Knight.
Fourth is Chunin, this is when the Chunin may take on a Genin to train until the Genin reaches the rank of Grey Jedi Knight. After successfully training a Genin and passing the final Knight test they are elevated to Master.
Fifth is Grey Jedi Master. To achieve the final rank of Master one must take the Master trials.
Sixth is Jonin the final rank of Master. These are the ones who sit at the Council.
The final rank is Kage, or "Grand Master". The Grey Jedi believed that "Grand Master" sounded to presumptions, so they gave their leader the position of Kage. The Kage is elected and serves a term of normally ten years unless it is cut short sooner.

Grey Jedi Classes:
Fire Warrior: They believe that the best approach to combat is a mixture of raw power and inner fire. Inner fire is the emotions of anger, calmness, and passion. They strive for a balance of all three of these and used them to their advantage. They often use their inner fire to overpower their opponent with their strength and often opponents would back down out of sheer fear. A fire warrior takes the most angering moment of his life and focuses on it, making his passion and hatred grow. He also uses the most loving moment of his life, and most tranquil moment of his life to keep this hatred in check. Thus is giving him the physical prowess without being susceptible to his emotions controlling him and disturbing the balance. They also are skilled in an ancient Sith technique where they can gain strength from Force sensitives, similar to Force Drain. The form of lightsaber that they use is similar to Vaapad.
Water Warrior: They believe that the warrior must be flexible as water and just as unyielding. They draw not on inner fire, but on inner calmness. They believe a mind like the moon or water in a state of pure awareness is best. They can block their opponents with great skill because they can see the attack before it happens. Often they will not even bother fighting, choosing instead to let their opponent tire themselves out while always evading them. They use the Force to heighten their awareness and to empower them. They master the art of Force Sight, Force Perception, and Force Seeing. They also have techniques to blind their opponents, to use their lack of awareness against them.
Wind Sages: They focus on being the perfect balance of intellect and power. They favor unarmed combat and mastery of the Force. They are considered the most mystical out of all the classes and hardest to become. They believe that weapons dull the senses and weaken the body. They use the Force for 100% of their offense and defense and instead of using lightsabers their fighting style is a unique mixture between Force Powers and martial arts which they called Mahu'Kate. They are able to cause "storms" in the Force. This storm can do anything from ripping a fleet of ships to shreds to transporting a ship thousands of light-years across the galaxy. They are also one of the only two sects to have the deadly knowledge of the Thought Bomb. When done correctly, this requires the sacrifice of the user to empower it. It then targets all Force sensitive enemies and wipes them out completely, destroying clothes, bodies, bones, cities, ships, anything in its path. When done incorrectly however, every single thing in its path will die, not just the user's enemies. They studies ancient Sith holocrons and hold many secrets of the Force, including how to banish another into a different plane of existence.
Ice Sages: They focus entirely on the Force. Discovering the mysteries of the galaxy and constantly seeking to bring all forces into balance. They value intelligence and calmness above all else. They use combat only when needed and often in war would provide battle meditation and other defensive Force abilities to their comrades.

Volk thinks its time to add to the future generations of Grey Jedi, so with that in mind he sits and adds his life's experiences of the Force and other matters he thinks will help out. As the Holocron records he is added to the many gatekeepers.
Greetings, I am Volk Malreaux of Vjun, one time Master of the Grey Jedi Order. Where to begin and what should I pass on to you all. Let me first talk about the Force as I see it, my impressions of different aspects and of different beliefs.
The Force was a mystical power that bound the entire galaxy together, others distinguished different sides to it as time went on. The Lightside comes to mind first, or Ashla as it is sometimes know as, believed to be everything good from honesty, compassion, mercy, and self-sacrifice. Those that used the Lightside would help others seeking harmony in whatever they did. Compared to the Darkside or Bogan they drew their powers drew power from raw emotions like pain, hatred, passion, and love. Darksiders used their powers for selfish purposes, gaining more power was their basic principle.
Its hard to really know the difference between them. Some would say that love would be a good thing, that with love you can do great things. Though love can cause jealousy and that would be bad. Any emotion can be inherently good or evil, its just a matter of how you use them or how they use you.
Last I would like to mention some of the beliefs out there. Some I have first hand knowledge having trained as one or studied their teachings.
We'll start with the Jedi Order athey were seekers of peace, defenders of justice and users of the Lightside of the Force. Here is their basic code as we have ours:
There is no emotion; there is peace. There is no ignorance; there is knowledge. There is no passion; there is serenity. There is no chaos; there is harmony. There is no death; there is the Force. — The Jedi Code
With them its all about patience, tolerance and never acting with anger. To them having a clear and collected center was key in everything they did. Only with a clear center could one make the correct choice. They tried to exstingish the Darkside whenever they came across it, anything from their teachings to beings that used it to hurt others.
On the other side as always is the Dark Jedi, fallen trained Jedi that had chosen to follow the Darkside, using their gifts and training for their own evil purposes.
Which brings me to the Sith Order were a different breed apart from the Dark Jedi, though the first of them all started out as Jedi at one point. Exiled as they were by the Jedi and the Republic, they did what came naturally to them, they took over a race called the Sith. Years of in-breeding the Exiles and the Sith became one, more than a race they followed the ancient Sith philosophy. Conflict was their only true test of their ability, so forced them to grow and evolve, unlike the peace loving teachings of the Jedi. Their Code says it all:
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me. —The Sith Code
I find it amusing that each Order, had the prophesy of a prefect being that would save them. The Jedi Order had the Chosen One and the Sith Order had the Sith'ari.
Next we speak of the Potentium you all may have heard of this from Sekot if you are lucky enough to draw her attention. The Potentium is just that the "Force", no Light or Darkside to it, that it was inherently good. It is the person that was dark or light, using it for evil or good. Something similar to the Unifying Force theory in the Force.
I could go on and on about each of the beliefs, but half the great things you learn are the ones you get by actually going out and doing things yourself. Knowledge easily attain can corrupt your outlook on things, control and inner strength is needed to know when enough is enough, that is the difference between knowledge and wisdom.

The Grey Jedi Order bring to mind alot of things, everyone has a different notion of what we are. Some see us as bad, some good and others weak for not choosing a side. I say let them think what they want, it takes a special person to walk the path of the Grey Jedi.
We all whether we like it or not we follow the belief of the Living Force, What is the Living Force you ask? It was thought to be present in all living beings, in and around them making all living things connected by it. Those that believe in it like we do follow our instincts while attuned to everything around us, always aware of the future and how it may change, but remained focused on the here and now.
The Book of Balance is something we all know following its principle view on balance and what you must do to protect that balance:
"And so we reach deep into the Force and we realize that not only is there not light side and Dark side, but that the imbalance from force users using only one side of the Force is literally ripping the fabric of the galaxy apart. However, the worst reality that we must realize is that we believe that to cure this imbalance is to destroy both Jedi and Sith. This is not the case however. The Jedi and Sith must both survive in order for the balance of the Force to be restored." —Excerpt from The Book of Balance
We Grey Jedi walk the shadows. Cast out by the Jedi Order for daring to view the Force as more than just Light and Dark. We use our skills to follow our own paths, be it bounty hunter, mercenary, body guard, treasure hunter, scholar or wanderer. Our lives are often lonely and spent in hiding. Hunted by some out of fear or hatred. The path of the Grey Jedi is fraught with peril and adventure.
