Jael still didn't trust the guy but switched of her lightsaber and slung it on her belt. "Yes we are here to investigate...." Knowing that she had not informed the Jedi Jael turned to Volk to say anything else seeing as he was leading their little expidition.

Looks sheepishly and winks at Jael.
"Ah, not exactly..no. My Order has not idea where I am right now."
Grins remembering the last time he broke the rules and shrugs. He was still a Master even if he didnt have the rank anymore.
"So what now, told the Capt. I would help out if I could. You find anything of value...like why here. Who is leading them?"

"No I'm afraid not. I've been avoiding a large group of Vong that are running through town causing death and destruction. I doubt their leaders are running around in public either." He says. "I've no clue where their base is or anything. I was trying to get avoid the Vong in order to stay alive long enough to get back to my ship. I'm only here for reconisense and hate to break it to you but one knight, one jedi, and one grey aren't going to be enough even with a Star Destroyer as backup."
Zairon glances over at the female, "So you might want to get the young lady off the planet so she doesn't get killed, cause right now going and getting reinforcements seems to be the best bet."

Jael kept her face immpasive but inside she was seething. Stupid Knights! Huh! "I can handle myself thankyou very much." she replied through clenched teeth.

"Its not a matter of handling yourself, ma'am. I'm saying we all need to leave because staying is suicide." He says with a sigh. "Do you think just the three of us can take on that one group of Vong? I'd say we got somewhere in the 70s or 80s." He says beckoning the direction he had come from. "Much less liberate an entire planet?"
Zairon shook his head, "Sorry, but right now retreating to get reinforcements is the only smart choice. Where are your ships? I'll escort you both there before I head back to mine."

Places an hand on Jael's shoulder.
"Calm down, he is only thinking of your safety. I am to....thats why its better to keep you were I can see you. Plus you are a big help if there is a fight, another lightsaber never hurts."
First things, first...they needed to find out what was going on and who was in charge.
"Sir Zairon, where have you been and what have you seen, exactly. Anything looking like a vong building, would look like a coral structure." Thinks more..."Or where the majority of the soldier are for that matter?"

Zairon sighs, "Volk, I've delt with the Vong before. I am aware of what their buildings look like and when I did a fly over I spotted nothing of the sort. In fact for the first few hours I was on the planet I didn't spot any signs of them at all."
He pointed back to where he had come from, "In fact so far I've only seen the one group of warriors and they were a pretty large group. And once again, what good is three of us going to do? There are more Vong than the three of us can handle." He waved his hand in dismissal, "I'm far from a coward, but staying on the planet is throwing your lives away. Are you willing to throw away your life for nothing, Volk? Are you mi'lady?" He said asking each of them.

A quick smile graced Jael's face before it was hidden behind her mask of impassivity. "Look at this planet, do you call it nothing?" she pointed to the dead. "Do they deserve no rest? Will the vong stop with just one world...I think not. I have made my peace with death long ago. We are needed here. There is much we could learn."

Zairon frowns, "I'm not calling the planet nothing." He says quickly and defensivly. "And I, of all people, know the Vong won't stop with one world." He waves his hand at the vast destruction around them, "What I'm asking is what can you two do? Three, if you can actually name something useful enough to get me to stay. Can you defeat a planet full of Vong? Are you stronger than an army? They were strong enough to annihilate most this planet, what can the three of us do?"
Zairon crosses his arms, "I don't like it any more than you do, but there isn't much we can do on this planet. Unless you have some kind of useful idea I recommend we go back to our Order's and get reinforcements to come back and kick the Vong's ass and free this planet. But like it or not, don't get delusions of grandeur. The three of us can't liberate a planet."

Raises his hand to stop further comments.
"Its not about fighting them all, Sir Knight....we have an oppertunity to do something useful here. Thats to gain intel our Orders can use to make a better stand. Yes, we might have to fight and we might have to run other times. I have to stay now cause there will be no better time to do what we need to do."
Looks at Jael, he was concerned about her safetly like he always would be, especially since he brought her along. Though he was confident of being able to work around the Vong here to get to a place where things could be found, usefull intel for the benifit of everyone.
"I say we stay, avoid fights if possible, and make our way to their HQ. It's going to be hard, yes...but I feel like its the best chance we have. If we leave and come back it will be harder to get to where we are right now."

Zairon sighs, "And do you have any idea where this HQ is or do you suggest we wander the whole planet and trying to avoid Vong as we search the entire planet by ourselves?" Zairon thinks, "Alright look, clearly I won't convince you two to leave the planet and I can't leave you two alone to die." Zairon removed his helmet and rubbed his temple. "Alright, do you have any plan whatsoever?"

Jael sensed Volk's worry and made a mental note to pretend to leave him if it got in the way of their mission. Better to watch his back from a distance than have him killed worrying over her.

Lotva Shai placed the finishing touches on her little rig she had going, here, deep in the maintenance tunnels of the security centre. Introducing the mothlike creatures to the unnatural aspects of this hideaway had been like introducing the first abomination to dry flammable materials. Quickly the little insects had latched onto the duracrete and metal holdings that supported this room and it's fixtures, gnawing away at the substances they fed on, slowly chewing away weaknesses in all the right places.
Plucking one such fully nourished creature from it's resting place, the Consul held it up to the light, it's opaque wings lighting up the series of vein-like patterns esconced within. These creatures were no more native to this world than she was, but neither were they indiginous to Yuuzhan'tar, or rather, what was left of the records from Yuuzhan'tar. No, this little creature was a Naotebe Wingling, a creature born of shaping, though produced by no shaper. She knew how to acquire such things because she had once known their creator intimately, he was Nom Anor.
It was nice to reminisce about what had been, and the Prefect's untimely death, while almost unbelievable, would not have been in vain. The traditionalists would get everything that was owed to them, and then some...perhaps then his soul could rest easier with the gods in that knowledge, however profound the pain of failed deeds. Sometimes, she mused, the outcome outweighed the means.
She began by procuring all those winglings that had gorged themselves to inactivity, replacing the small fissures they had created with smaller, easily concealed creatures, tucking them inside the gnawed crevices. Paying no mind the the viciously hard bites the winglings gave her for her troubles, she stuffed another sensislug into the large gnawed edifice above the doorway. If anyone was coming through that, they'd get a blast of dehabillitating gas for their troubles - if that failed, she had a contingency plan. She would bring this whole room down on all of them if she had to.
K'litch Vang's report had been favourable so far, though weather or not any infidels had arrived yet, she had been unable to ascertain - it wasn't a case of if though, now it was a case of when, and she was more than content to wait, because Yun-Harla's hand was guiding this whole operation, she wouldn't have dared the wrath of the goddess to interfere due to impatience.

*Cate from aboard the Dar'jetii having come to a decision on who to send to Utapau coms Jael on an encrypted channel to Jael's ship.*
Jael I don't know if you have heard about what is happening on Utapau. But I need to send someone to check it out. If you are not busy could you please check out what is happening on Utapau. I have a very bad feeling about this.
Oh and considering the possible level of danger of this mission and the time you have been a padawan. I will consider this your Knight trial. I know this is a little unusual since you haven't learned how to make a saber yet but I think you have the necessary abilities to be a Knight. What you lack is knowledge and experience that this mission will give you. Remember what you have learned so far and let the Force be your guide. Trust in it and yourself and you will do well.
Take someone with you who you can trust to back you up and be careful.
May The Force be with you, Cate.
*end of transmission.*

Capt. Velos is happy to hear the news from Volk. "Very good, now maybe his top Knight will calm down."
He opens the comline to Volk with a hearty chuckle. "Thank the Force, tell him he has some friends en route when you see him."
Gets a message from Capt Velos, then looks at Zairon and shrugs. "You hear that, Knight?"
Talking out loud, Volk throws some ideas out to find the Vong HQ.
"What better place to start then the communications building, that is where the distress signal first came from isn't it?"
Could be crawling with Vong warriors, but they could move around them. The least they could do was check it out and see if there was anything important in there.
"We stay in the shadows not drawing attention to ourselves as we make our way there. We avoid fighting as long as possible that is the key, they prolly know the Knight is here...but not us two." Looks at Jael, then to Zairon.
"Later on we can form a better plan of attack or a way to throw a hydro-spanner in there perfectly laid plans. We all fine with this plan right now? Or does anyone have a better one?"
