He had made several fatal mistakes just by coming here, but to then follow that up with insults, he really was a fool, and he really must be begging for death.
Lotva Shai's azure eyes narrowed at the mention of that word 'vong' - he was not fit to speak it, no more than any real 'vong' in every sense of the word was, even the true caste did not use it lightly, but here this infidel stood, defiling several domains worth of creche, just by STANDING in it, and utilizing words he had no clear view of the proper implications.
She couldn't help but laugh at the fact he still had no idea who she was, injured arm or not. Well she knew who he was...or rather, she knew all that he was, and hated it with every fiber of her being.
"I am Lotva domain Shai," She responded, voice a growled hiss as her gaze dropped momentarily to the crecheling the Jeedai still held in his arms. Once more she felt an immense sense of pride when she saw the small lengths Azca would go to, in order to hurt this infidel...that was a tallent to be nurtured and cultivated.
"I do not care for who you are, only why you are not dead."
At her back, the warriors and others were becoming restless, many of them would not have been able to understand the language she was speaking, without the use of tizowyrms, and she had little intent to inform them of what was transpiring, least they knew of her minor failure. How fitting then, that he should come to hold in his arms the only crecheling in a creche of hundreds, that was her own. Yun-Harla, it seemed, had turned on her once again.
It was at this point, that Volk, becoming aware of Azca's escape attempts, seemed to lose his cool and strike the child across the back of the head with that blasphemous weapon, sending the infant into an instant state of unconsciousness.
Fury swept across the crowd and filled Lotva Shai both, and she knew there would be no holding them back this time, nor, indeed herself. Grasping a handful of razorbugs, she took several long steps forward, marking her aim silently in her mind and she growled irrivocably enraged.
"Give...him...to me, Jeedai." Her words were spoken through gritted, sharpened teeth, "And I will see to it that they end your life swiftly."

Shock could be seen on his face as he hears who was speaking. Lotva Shai, the escapee of the Imperials and one thorn in the side of every Vong everywhere.
"So you are still alive, I was looking for you....but never thought i would find you out here." He looks at the kid he hit and lifts his from the hair at her. "You want this thing back? Why would you want that?"

A vicious snarl played across her severe features when he remembered where he'd heard that name, and her memories of that gods forsaken abomination of a prison returned as strong as ever. She had taken perverse delight in slaying that head of the guard, just as much as he had seemed to take in the fact she was there at all. Revenge was something they both could have appreciated, yet now only she lived to do so - as it should be then.
"Looking for me? I'm touched, you will forgive me if I do not remember your name, ignot, I have slain so many of your disgusting people I tend not to remember such things. And those of you who became our slaves have no name aside from 'unworthy'" She spat.
Her expression darkned noticably when he held Azca out like that, hanging limply with little sign of the fact he was still breathing. But she did notice that he was, and this, at least, meant that if she could grab him back before the warriors did finally lose their patience, there was a chance he would not fall beneath their heels.
She took another step closer, awkwardly this time, shifting her weight so that if she did have to duck out of the way of that light weapon, she could do so quickly and without further injury to herself. If she misjudged this, it could well cost her son his life.
"I swear by the goddess that if you do not give him to me, now, you will earn yourself a shameful existance lived in endless suffering. With your actions alone you have earned yourself much pain...why make it worse for yourself?!"
Behind her, somewhere in the crowd, she could hear the warriors all talking among themselves, asking eachother what was going on here, why they weren't just persuing and taking down this Jeedai infidel, and more to the point, what was being said between the Consul and the infidel in question? The hiss of unsated amphistaves grew louder, and the air was thick with tension, but all of it felt like it was weighing on the Intendant's shoulders, this was going to get worse, she could feel it.
She would endure.
"Why is none of your concern, infidel! Do as I demand."

Steps back still holding the Vong kid by the hair, then holds him against his chest, sort of cradling him so she can see.
"He someone important to you, I take it?" Looks at her a grin on his lips. He was a step away from the hole on the wall as he looked at the rest of the Vongs in the room. Pulling the thermal detonator form his pocket he shows it to her.
"I think i will keep this one for a while, seeing how much he means to you, and this thermal detonator is a parting gift to you. I leave you with this.....the longer you wait to find me, the more he becomes like me in the end....."
Tosses the thermal detonator clicks three times for three seconds delay and jumps out of through the hole landing on a roll he runs fast to escape the explosion.

He was edging ever closer to that gap in the cave wall, beyond lay the steep incline that lead up to the surface of the sinkhole, or down towards the water below. Either way he could have made good his escape, he was a Jeedai, the impossible became possible when dealing with them and their ill-gifted sorcery. Lotva Shai knew she would only have one chance at this, and it wasn't a particularly good one on the ods.
"Are your ears working?! I said that is no concern of yours!" She snapped, hands aching to just let fly with the razor bugs.
But he seemed to have a clearly mapped out plan, one her contingency plans had not covered, curse her lack of forsight and inability to have cleaned up her tracks when she'd had the chance! This was HER failure and soon others would know that. But not if she could turn this around.
The second she loosed those razor bugs the infidel tossed a spherical metalic abomination into the air, sending it flying in the direction of both she and the crowd. The warriors had already begun to surge towards the chunk of missing wall, pouring out onto the narrow walkway to try and catch sight of the direction the Jeedai had taken.
Lotva Shai hurried out with them, carried along and cajoled around by the steady flow of bodies passing through the gaping maw. But her reason for picking up her speed wasn't necessarily the same as the warriors, she had seen those devices before and knew well what was coming. No one inside that chamber wanted to be there when that thing went off....and as that thought crossed her mind, the detonator went off.
Rock, fire and sheer force flung the chamber wall entirely outwards, taking along with it debris, dismembered Yuuzhan Vong and biots with it. All flew through the air accompanied by the roaring sounds of explosion, before tumbling down towards the water, all quiescent just before it hit the water. Above them, those warriors who had managed to make the journey unscathed howled war cries, incantations to call the gods into witness as they relentlessly persued the infidel and his captive.
Somwhere halfway down the ramp, Lotva Shai pulled herself to her feet, the force of the explosion had almost taken her off the edge of the cliff, were it not for sheer determination to hang on with that one good arm, she might have gone for an early dip in the waters below. The warriors were some paces ahead, but somehow, she never would know how, she paced herself so that she would catch up to them. That blasted kane a bar Jeedai had her son, her son! And she wasn't going to rest until Azca was back with her, and the Jeedai would know torment like no other...by the gods she swore that he would live a long life in excruciating agony.

As the explosion rocks the hidden Enclave, Vang and his party are alerted by it from not too far away. They rush to the Enclave, Vang sends warriors to other exit tunnels to block any enemy escape paths as he and one of the surviving squads of warriors move closer towards the enclave's location. It doesn't take Vang and his fellow warriors long to discover what the problem is, a infidel comes running down tunnel from the enclave and appears to be in possession of a lightsaber in one hand and a crechling in the other. That is when Vang notices who's crechling...
"Azca?..." Vang asks himself, it can't be the Consul's child. Vang only delayed the inevitable realization and at the moment of truth setting in, springs into action with his amphistaff pointed at the Jeedi as he charges the infidel. "DIE, JEEDAI!"
Vang step up and extends the amphistaff outward so the brunt head of the weapon rams Volk's hand to knock the lightsaber loose before stepping in, kneeling and spinning his staff over his head and out to the side to slam into the side of infidel's head to knock him out.

Grinning like a fool he was, hurt and bleeding from various wounds, he was having fun. A shoulder roll as he comes out of the building just aggravates the shrapnel in his left shoulder still buried in it. Using the pain to give him strength was the only thing keeping him on his feet. Running as quick as he can, with his lightsaber in his right hand and the Vong kid on his left shoulder, Volk hurried along the tunnel.
Seeing a Vong Warrior coming at him maybe from the sound of the explosion just a short moment ago alerting him. Volk was at a disadvantage. carrying the kid. Close on his heels he hears more Vong coming so needed to deal with the lone warrior fast.
Blocking with his lightsaber it is twisted out of his hand and falls along the tunnel wall. The Warrior spinning his amphistaff and about to hit him on the side of his head, Volk lifts the Vong kid to intercept the blow. Maybe it would stop him or he would die if he went through with him when Lotva Shai found out.
Grabbing his blaster he shoots with out aiming randomly at the tunnel, his hope was to create cracks on the wall so he can use as weapons either to bring it down on top of the Vong Warrior or force throwing them at him.....

"Klphung!" Vang insternally cursed, he normally wouldn't care if he had to kill a crechling in the heat of battle but the fact that this crechling belongs to the Consul Lotva Shai dictates another action. He coaxes the amphistaff to go from ridgid to flowing, using the snake-like head to curl around the child Azca and pull him from harm. Mean while, Vang pulls his last borlash jelly packet from his organic pouch and tosses the adheisive at the feet of the Jeedai infidel looking to trap him.

Reaching the next rise in the pathways' tight curvature, the Consul rounded the corner just in time to see the Jeedai preparing to block the attack from K'litch Vang with the still-lifeless form of her crecheling. The tension, that had remained so tightly coiled within her until this instance, exploded outwards in the form of anger-based dread and a flurry of quickly barked orders. She wouldn't have been able to push through the group ahead of her, but she could utilize them to intercept Volk before he made good his escape...but not necessarily before K'litch Vang's amphistaff would slice Azca cleanly in two.
A crecheling's life was nothing when compared to the glory the Yuuzhan Vong could heap upon the gods, but instinct was what it was, primal, and she couldn't help but feel as though she should throw herself headlong into the situation and protect her defenceless son. It was something she would need to purge from her being, as these thoughts were as tainted as the infidel who carried Azca now. But to her surprise, Vang seemed to have taken a great deal of effort not to let the strike fall...which meant Azca was still very much alive. Her blood sang with grattitude for the warrior, she would be certain to bring this up if they all survived this...and, gods willing, this abominable failure suddenly transformed into a victory.
They weren't out of the woods yet, and her orders still stood.
"As Yun-Yammka is your witness, slay this pitiful excuse for a Jeedai! I want his flayed skin to adorn the walls of the hall of confluence and his remains trampled by rakamats!"
Ahead of her, the group of aproximately 20 warriors heard her words and continued as they had meant to go on, she wasn't their commander, but she was superior in rank, they could not deny her anything unless their commander had contradicted her words, and he wasn't here to see this. But as the first wave of only a handful passed over the spot where Volk had lain the second mine, it triggered under the pressure of a single warrior's foot, blowing the warrior and three of his counterparts sky high, and in several flaming pieces, raining down gore and smoldering entrails from above.
In addition to this, the warriors at the back of the group were hindered by the now, smoking crater of a gap in the side of the sinkhole. There was no easy way to cross that gap safely without first finding something to bridge it, and the only other option would be to jump it. Which is precisely what the remainder of the group tried. No mere infidel was going to stand in the way of their path to glory, and it was this bloody minded determination that urged them onwards still. K'litch Vang would have presidence over an honour duel with this rogue Jeedai, but in all truthfulness, Lotva Shai cared nothing for their personal sense of 'honour' right now, she just wanted the pleasure of seeing that perfidious, slippery and putrid infidel meet his end atop this cliff face.
But trapped on the other side of what could have been discribed as a side-crater going on miniature ravine, she didn't fancy her chances of making it to the other side if she, too, jumped the gap. She was injured, working under borrowed energy as though the gods themselves were having to move her limbs via unseen and divine force, it would have been foolish to try. But she couldn't just let that ignot get away. She had no intention of doing so either.
Reaching into the folds of her robeskin, she searched in a futile attempt to find the tactical villip she had placed there in the moments prior to the Jeedai's arrival. Her hand grasped at air, there was nothing there anymore. Phagh! of all the things she could have misplaced during the conflict, this was the one thing she required most. There was only one option left then.
Catching the arm of one of the remaining passing warriors, Lotva Shai watched the snarl of outrage upon that one's face die before she uttered her words. Good, this one wasn't that foolish then.
"Get this message to K'litch Vang, Launch the Yorik-et, the Jeedai may be headed towards an abominable transport. They will destroy any made-thing vessels that they find." The Intendant dictated, and the warrior in turn gave a sharp salute before taking his run up to the gap, and only just making it across the other side.
As the warrior pressed on towards K'litch Vang, Lotva Shai could only look on and pray that this swung towards their favour.

Seeing the warrior stop his attack before he hurt the child was one thing, him changing tactics was another. The amphistaff had wrapped itself around the kid now and was just about to strip him from Volks hands, as the warrior tossed borlash jelly at him. Having no choice with his lightsaber having been dropped to the floor. Volk slaps the detonator setting off the last land mine to stop the other warriors on his heals out of the fight.
Pulling his heavy blaster Volk forces it as close as he can to the warrior K'litchs body and fires at close range, hoping to put him down fast. As he did this he is trying to locate his lightsaber thought the Force, he was out of time and hurting, this might be the end for the great Volk Malreaux.

Aeron' shuttle descends toward the planet's surface. She can feel her husband's pain and distress and urges the pilot on to go faster. She directs him toward a huge pit which is filled with water. She can make out in the Force with her Vongsense a lot of warriors and in the middle of it the bright light of her husband. The shuttle is now low enough to whip up the water as it races over the surface and comes to a sudden halt. They have reached the warriors and the movement of the shuttle has them either jump out of the way or knocks them just to the ground. The door opens and one soldier after the other is jumping out while the automatic cannons of the ship fire into all directions, giving cover to the soldiers.

The passing warrior stopped by Lotva Shai presses on to deliver the Consul's orders to K'litch Vang, he runs with purpose as he makes his way towards Vang. As Vang nearly pulls Azca from the Jeedai's arm, the running warrior coming to Vang steps on and activates the last of Volk's mines and kills the message bearer instantly. The explosion also takes out some of the warriors following Vang, sending their body pieces flying. This is only made worse by the fact that the Jeedai has another abominable weapon and has fired close to point-blank range. The shot hits Vang in the shoulder as the explosion from the mine sends him sailing towards Volk and Azca.
As Vang lands on the ground, he notices that his arm no longer holds the amphistaff. He looks around quickly to see it several meters away with Azca still in its grasp. Vang knows now he needs to get Azca to safety before the Jeedai can retain him once more. Vang grabs his last blast bug from his pouch and hurls it at the Jeedai while he runs towards his amphistaff and Azca.
As Vang is making his way towards Azca he hears a sound that alerts him to an incoming problem; high-altitude sonic booms, telltale sign of ships entering the upper atmosphere. More Jeedai infidels were coming and there were no Yorik-ets in the air currently. Vang knew his next plan, grab Azca and get somewhere to contact any available pilots to engage the infidels.

Corey Dropship lands as he exits he orders Captain Nelson to step-up a command post. He orders one of the fights to land to take him back to his Flagship God’s Hand. The fighter jets off as his team finish up setting the Command Post. Once inside the bay, Corey runs over to Sayan and jumps back in. Corey seats in his command chair and Sayan connects to him. Corey “Well here we go again Sayan.” Sayan sends a warm feeling back knowing she will not fail him. Corey contacts the bridge. Corey “Admiral, bring the fleet to high alert and have reinforcement on standby.” Lee “Yes Master Dooku, I will make sure of that.” Sayan heads back down to the surface to give air support to Kage Aeron. Captain Nelson contacts Corey informing him that the ground forces has secured the area but do not know for how long. Corey looks out the view screen and smiles. “Death before dishonor!” The men on the ground could hear his scream over the communication link with Captain Nelson. The men are in good spirit but for how long? Only time will tell once the enemy ground forces begins their attack.

As Volk finds his lightsaber he calls it to his right hand and then he raises his left hand to the ceiling of the tunnel. Earlier he had used his blaster to create cracks and breaks in the surface of the tunnel. Now he uses them to his advantage, using the Force he grips and pulls those over the warrior K'litch, hoping to bury him in the rubble as he ducks the blast bug.
It was hard ducking still being connected to the floor by the borlash jelly, but as it passed he used his lightsaber and cuts himself free. Just then he feels his wife arrive, right before the sound of engines entiring the atmosphere. Remembering that the some bugs return or come back for another pass, he turns and fires his blaster at it making sure he was safe from that.
