There last known course had been from Kuat to Carratos, but somewhere in the middle of the trip they had decided to take a detour in the opposite direction. This was not only to confuse pursuers but to have some fun together before they were consumed by work.
The SSD know as the Eclipse one time stolen by Tyber Zann during the Rebellion years had been refurbished and upgraded. The two passengers had taken it on their tour to visit the RGE as a show of strength and of Kuats commitment to excellence.
Now it was stationed four light years outside of Corellias' Orbit, where a small personal shuttle exits its main hanger bay. Inside piloting were two influential people. One being the head of Kuats ship building empire, Lady Khari Vestra. The other being a newly appointed RGE Senator, named Tress Odak-Zann.
"So you know how to pilot one of this things?" He turns to look at Khari with laughter in his eyes. "Cause I don't have the first clue as to being a pilot." He was joking with her, and testing her. It was a way to get to know alittle more about her and what she could do. She had lead a life of privilege that didn't mean she wouldn't have had the chance to learn how to fly. Though it was better to find out before he gave her control of a ship.

Sitting in the copilot's chair at the front of the shuttle, Khari kept her eyes on their destination as opposed to what Tress had been doing about getting them there intact. She had, perhaps unwisely so, assumed that he would know precisely how to fly one of these things. Naturally, she did, so there was little to concern him where that was concerned. Rather it was she who looked across at him rather stunned when he admonished he had no idea how to fly that thing and yet he had planted himself down before the controlls.
But just as she was about to get up and shove him out of the way, she managed to catch a glimpse of the laughter in his eyes with her own wide gaze, preventing her doing much to the effect that she had planned.
Leaning back in her chair with an audible creak of nerfhide, she crossed her arms infront of her, resting her palms serently against her long slender legs, also crossed, as she regarded him mock-sullenly.
"Not funny." She chided him imperiously, swiveling the chair back to face the viewport with one fluid movement.
Her dark eyes found something to preoccupy them in the form of sensor readouts and the navcomputer updating them on just how far away they were. With Corellia looming in the viewport, it wouldn't be long now. Their journey had been something of an uneventful one for the crew, quite the opposite for she and Tress. But one thing they had all been in agreement about was this short stop over. She never could have enough excuses to shop after all. But in respect for the Corellians, they had commed ahead - something about the presence of a gargantuan eclipse class star destroyer in orbit tended to make the officials sit up and pay more than the usual attention. But they meant them no harm, they might even have appreciated the gesture.
"And to answer your initial question, I do know how. I have known for quite some time now." Sliding her glance sidelong at him, she let the smallest hint of a telling smile creep across her lips. "Why do I sense this was another case of 'see if the little rich girl knows her stuff?' hmm?"
She would get him back for that later, but while they were on the subject. "If you are concerned your knowledge of piloting one of these shuttles is insubstancial, you really should hand those controls over."
Her smile was the picture of innocence, but of course he would know there was more to it than that. The pair of them were considerably more relaxed after their hurried departure from Kuat. She had since had updates on the situation there amid the orbital array and they had been concerning to say the least. When trying to get in contact for a report, she had gained little information. Security had things in hand...so they said.

He had to chuckle at that, as he took control of the ships systems. They were all basically the same, with some minor changes from manufacture to manufacture. This one was one he had flown before, having one at home on Anaxes. Simple and straight forward so it was little trouble as he got them on their way to orbit. Flipping switches he send out a transmission to Orbit control and waited for their reply.

He had the sense to look embarrassed, but there was a method to his madness and soon it would become apparent. "It wasn't like that at all...well some of it was. Just wanted to know if you had ever learned. Long trips are about getting to know your partner...or so i have been told." he looks sideways at her bidding his time and then it comes in the form of a voice over the comms.
"This is Corellia Orbital Control....."
He leans back and smiles as he looks her way. "Consider them handed over...."

"It wasn't like that at all...well some of it was. Just wanted to know if you had ever learned. Long trips are about getting to know your partner...or so i have been told."
Laughing slightly, she was unable to keep her straight face for too long, he had a rather endearing way of digging himself out of each and every pit he seemed to fall into, and this was no exception.
"If there is anything you wish to know, ask away, see this as your opportunity. Bear in mind any question you ask you have to answer for yourself in return."
And with a wink she left it at that. During the shortness of this trip, he had forgotten the little arrangement they had with one another, and she was somewhat glad for that, not that she would mention it of course, the better the situations advantage swayed in her favour, was all good by her. But when the comm lit up and a tinny sounding, corellian accented voice chirrped from beyond, Tress seemed all too keen to hand the controls back over to her.
Oh very funny - she thought, glaring at him for the trouble, the next thing he would be telling her, was that he was wanted on world for something equally as bad as his grandfather had perpetrated on Kuat.
"This is Corellia Orbital Control....."
Muting the comm for a few more moments, she frowned at Tress and shook her head. "Just you wait, you won't know when, you won't know how, but just you wait."
Finger off the mute switch, she made her voice sound completely sweetness and light, as if there was no possible conceivable way she could have been uttering anything quite so humerously threatening before hand.
"This is Shuttle K-1321D from the Eclipse, requesting permission to land at Coronet starport." They would know what eclipse too, it would be hard for their sensors to have missed it, or indeed the tourists admiring that giant great thing looming in orbit on a clear night.
Muting the comm again she made a shooing gesture to him with one hand, trying to wave him out of his seat so she could take ahold of the controls, he seemed to be making himself comfortable there. When he didn't immediately move as quickly as she would have liked, Khari shook her head, tendrils of her neatly kept long hair falling about her shoulders like liquid shadow.
He wanted to be stubborn, fine.
Turning as if she intended to go back to her own seat, she instead sat on his lap, hand still pressed to the mute switch to ensure any protest would be kept private. Then she proceeded to act as if nothing was amiss in the slightest.

"Just you wait, you won't know when, you won't know how, but just you wait."
Seemed like she got the joke and was going along with it, even though she planned on getting him back. He had something to look forward to then, it would keep him on his toes. Which was fine with him, he was all about equal play...what was good for one was good for the other.
"Would it help if i said i loved you and your the only one for me?" He said sweetly with a mischievous look in his eye as she answered the Comm from Orbital. He saw her gesture for him to get up out of the pilots chair, but stayed where he was at. Though he never planned on what she ultimately did, he wasn't about to argue the point with her as she sat on his lap and proceeded to pilot the ship.
Arms wrapped around her waist and his cheek resting against her back he thinks about the planet. He had good relations on Corellia, having a legit shipping business on planet. That it was a front for illegal criminal activities was neither here or there.....and he took delight that it was all under the radar of the Black Sun. Tyber wasnt the only sneaky one in the family after all.
"What do you want to do first when we get there?" He asks enjoying where hes at.

The temptation to sink back into his embrace was higher than high, but Khari remained where she was perched, letting him hold her and enjoying it immensely, but not yet surrendering that air of control, he'd handed this over to her and in her mind it took presidence until they got word back and could take this shuttle to ground.
"What do you want to do first when we get there?"
Arching one eyebrow curiously, she tossed a glance back over her shoulder questioning him.
"Find something decent to wear. As much as I love what you have leant me here, I wouldn't say it's really my style - someone might mistake me for a miscreant."
Without further ado, she twisted slightly at the waist, then leaned back to kiss him softly, that same knowing smile still fixed in place as she withdrew so he was in focus, "Not that you are by any means a miscreant...outside of this shuttles cabin anyway."
There was one, tiny thing that Khari had overlooked however, seemingly insignificant and benign enough that she had completely let it slip her mind. And that was the mute switch.
"Uhh...Shuttle K1321D, you are cleared for landing at docking bay..."
The code would be transmitted to them, she knew, but the voice emitting from the comm could have been speaking huttese for all she cared at that precise moment, and it was more than she could do to stifle that embarrassed laughter she felt bubbling up from the pit of her stomach as she shifted on Tress' lap to bury her face against his shoulder, the subtle jerking rise and fall of her shoulders her silent profession of the humour she was feeling.
"Respond..." she whispered to Tress amid her own laughter, when the Orbital Controller added "Enjoy your visit....or whatever."
"Well..." Said Khari, trying to sit up straight again, managing to do so quite regally, considering. "...that went well."

He laughed against her back at what she had said, he was sort of a miscreant to a degree and was proud of it at times. What lead up to her style of wardrobe was one of his prouder moments, he thought. So focused on her kiss and what she had been saying he didn't understand when the speaker on the Comm replied.
"Uhh...Shuttle K1321D, you are cleared for landing at docking bay..."
"Respond..." she whispered to Tress amid her own laughter, when the Orbital Controller added "Enjoy your visit....or whatever."
He laughed out loud getting it now, but replied in the throes of laughter. "We will thank you..." then turns to her "Speaking of miscreants" Kisses her again quickly as he shuts off the comm.
"Well..." Said Khari, trying to sit up straight again, managing to do so quite regally, considering. "...that went well."
"If by well you mean...they think we are scruffy nerf headers, then i say it went very well." He says as he leans back letting her pilot the ship. "Would you like me to get up so you can have more room, or would you rather put on the auto pilot and we both get comfortable?"

Becoming lost in that all too brief kiss, it barely registered with her what he had said. They could autopilot it, that certainly sounded far better than running things manually, but he had issued something of a silent challenge to her earlier - unwittingly or not.
"Stay put, I rather like you there, but i'll take care of this...not far now." She informed him, taking ahold of the controls, she could take it from here, and prove she wasn't completely the spoiled little merchant princess everyone often made her out to be. Appearences could be decieving, and he had said he wanted to learn more about her - here was his chance.
"You never did say weather you would agree to that question thing. What exactly did you want to know? I already told you of a misspent youth did I not? I'm sure whatever I went through was dour in comparison to the tales you could tell."
Putting the shuttle on it's designated course, she sent it into a slow descent, paying half of her attention to shifting atop of him to make herself comfortable in the process. The approach wouldn't take long and she'd rather be comfortable now than have to do the whole thing with a knee up her....
"At least you had your freedom. Things were expected of me from the day I was old enough to understand spoken word. And I pray you never, ever, meet my mother." That drew a little chuckle from her, the day that happened she wasn't sure who would win that fight, it could go either way...if the old woman didn't take a liking to Tress in the other sense she often did when around younger men. "You would get along with her telbun though...who you would probably call my father, I suppose. Just don't mention the Zann half of your name."
She had no intention of him meeting either parent, for as long as she could see to it, especially her mother- for whatever her 'father' would do would be questioned insistantly by her mother and then all hell would break loose when it came to how she had 'misplaced' Taru.

He was happy where he was at, too. Who wouldn't be with a gorgeous woman on your lap. So he sat there enjoying her as she moved around flying the ship and thought of what to ask her.
"You never did say weather you would agree to that question thing. What exactly did you want to know? I already told you of a misspent youth did I not? I'm sure whatever I went through was dour in comparison to the tales you could tell."
"Yes, you told me about that. I just wanted to know more....like what else do you know? What were you allowed to do and weren't allowed to do. For example i know you cant cook if your life depended it on it .....Things like that." He smiles remembering that time on the way to Kuat and her famous spice loaf.
"I did have a sort of freedom, especially in Tybers care every summer." He told her and which she already knew, but it was more than that. He was allowed the freedom to do as he wanted with his grandfather. He taught him to learn by his mistakes. Bu he perked up as she mentioned her father and mother. "Can i meet them?"
